Hi Rachel, yes I keep having to remind myself to use them instead of colour pencils or paint. They are just soooo lovely. I think when I get a bit more use to them they are going to become a firm favourite in my sketchbook and lots of fun.🙏😃🖌

Thanks for watching. Yes, as beautiful as they are I agree that the colours are very limited and quite frustrating if you want to do something like Geraniums in a still life. I would definitely throw in a couple of colours from another set like the odd luminance or even lightfast pencil. You can buy them as singles. ✏️🍂

@ true but that’s Derwent for ya, in my experience: designed to be disappointing to keep you buying more stuff

Your not being greedy at all Tricia, I ran out of time this week editing my video and completely forgot to add the reference but had intended to. 😄 Yes, you definitely can use the zest it (or other solvents) with your luminance, It works wonders. I wouldn't use it on top of the gouache though. Regarding cleaning your brush, the blending medium is actually a solvent which you can use in itself to clean your brushes. Just wipe it clean and the remaining solvent will evaporate off your brush or dry. You can of course run the brush under a tap if you prefer. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching the video. Hi Suzanne, In all truthfulness they are totally unnecessary, (as are most art materials). I'm terrible & spend all my money on art supplies. I absolutely love the pencils but definitely go in & out of phases when I use them. I'm using them quite a bit at the moment because of the season.... If you do lots of sketching & want a change they are a solid product, the colours perhaps a little restrictive (if you want an all rounder go for something else).
