I've owned my 99 silverado short bed single cab 4x4 since 2005. Original 5.3 and trans. 265k been through 1 fuel pump, 2 water pumps , 1 radiator and a pair of air pump check valves. Best damn truck ever made. Like a Rock!

I got a 94 Kodiak 8500, I just keep the 2 speed in low and shift to high in 5th gear unless you just like to shift it, good trucks.
