Nikon Z6iii | Worth of upgrade? | Test vs older Z6 | Watch before you buy | Testing and Unboxing
Is the Nikon Z6iii worth the upgrade? In this video, I'll compare it to the original Z6, a classic workhorse for photographers and videographers. With 6K 60fps RAW recording, better connectivity, and enhanced autofocus, the Z6iii should be a game-changer for video creators for under $2,200.

@12:05 You CAN use XQD-cards with no problem! I have two of them and they work just fine! In tests the XQD card has been slightly faster than CF express cards in Z6, in Z6iii I don't know, haven't tested the speed, more than once, it was when I did a focus shift (for stacking) and the whole process went considerably faster than with the Z6 (the same card). Annoying music between your comments!
Z6 didn't read CFexpress at all. Z6iii didn't read my XQD. I have the Sony original ones I bought in 2018. Maybe newer ones it reads ok? And the XQD reader doesn't read the CFexpress B cards either.
Z6iii can beat z6 agreed, can this beat ,a7iv or eosr 6ii , s5iix which are 4 an 2 years old.
I have a question, I also have the z6 and thinking about upgrading to the z6iii, is the IBIS (z6 iii) in video worse that on the 6? Also I’m confused about Dynamic range, every reviewer says that it’s worse on the 6iii but you have a different result?
IBIS might be better, still kinda jumpy when shooting handheld I would say... dynamic range in video? Z6 can only do 4k H.264, but I compared it to a 4k RAW footage from Z6iii. In this regard, the Z6iii dynamic range is totally on a different level than Z6.
one suggestion, that noise during shutdown could be the sensor cleaner, it, by default cleans the sensor on shutdown, but can on start-up, or be shut off, to stop this noise.
I don’t have the z6iii but I think is the IBIS locking each time it goes to sleep, heard that it also happens when you go into the menus. Somebody noticed that it’s reduced when you choose silent mode (electronic shutter)
@@arnexxx No difference for the noise in silent mode. It must be the IBIS that is locking up. It's a little bit confusing with the sensor cleaning, in the menu it says "Automatic cleaning -> OFF" as default, meaning that you DO clean the sensor when you turn the camera OFF! You have to go one step further to the right in the menu to select "Cleaning OFF" and THAT means No Autocleaning. Not particular intuitive!
I didn't have the cleaning on, I think it's either IBIS lock or also seen someone mentioning it only makes the noise when the VR is on.. didn't test it
I find it so funny that the bottom of the light falls off at 7:02🤣
To save time coloring text that you added in CAD: First I create the text as individual bodies, then I export all bodies as a .step file, open the .step file in Bambu Studio, separate all the parts then you can select them individually and change the color in 1 or 2 clicks (I like to right click then select change filament), then recombine the parts & slice.
that sounds good! didn't think of that. Wouldn't it just add more filament changes?
@@therealfazee Depends on how thick you make the text bodies, they don't need to be that thick. I've only recently started experimenting with it as I also like to have all my features native to the model. And really I've only done it with face down text printing like you do here. I wonder how bambu studio would handle something other than on the bed. I'm not sure if it would maintain the position of the separate bodies or push them all to the print bed. So, yeah, might be a very specific use case for this tip, lol.
Do you have a link to these parts so I can print them?
excellent vid thank you for sharing
Hello! Great video. Can you tell me the exact depth of this bag? I need it to be 8 inches in depth.
I would say 7.5inch. You could fit longer things, but 8inch would stretch it too much and the zipper might fail
@@therealfazee Thanks for the reply. My camera rigg is about 7 inches in depth. So that should fit just fine. SUPER! thanks again
Great find, I bought the Bottega knockoffs in kislux because I liked the style but not the price of the originals, hehe!
What speed do u run your Lithophane prints at
factory settings for Bambu Basic PLA - OW 200mm/s, IW 350mm/s, sparse infill 430mm/s, internal infil 350mm/s, overhangs 60 30 10 10
Have you considered modelling and printing an insert to glue or screw over the 'ugly' outer face to hide it?
yes I actually did few prints like this.. the surfaces that I wanted to glue together were never exactly flat, probably due to plate not being perfectly flat or warping during the print.. so I gave up on that idea
One thing I have learned is that using threads to connect 3d prints is usually better than magnets. Unless you really need to connect and disconnect the item often.
yea I kinda need to disconnect it from time to time.. but yes the 3 magnets I used aren't strong enough to hold it, next version will hold itself by being snug tight and magnets just securing it
I loved the content but please dont blast the music 8x louder than your voice in between you talking if possible
lol yeah the ducking was generated automatically, it's never 100% accurate, will pay more attention to that
@@therealfazee Haha good, by the quality of your communication I could tell it was likely not intentional.
@ totally hear ya, Ive done similar things on many an edit. Keep it up!
Um I sleep with this in my room do I need to fix that?
you don't have to if you have an option to air the whole room out before sleep I would think
What filament did you use? It’s beautiful.
it's the Bambu Gold PLA silk
Hola, que proyecto más genial.
gracias
I tried it, broke it, and used some zip ties on the second attempt. It worked really well and was also cool when pointed backward.
I already broke all of my brackets again lol.. even the nylon isn't a good match for RC cars, so experimenting with different TPU's and will see
@@therealfazee Yeah, it’s a balance act between mounting it very secure but then it’ll brake easily, or having it fly off while crashing but then save the mount. I currently have my GoPro mounted inside the car. Also an interesting angle. And better crash protection. Doesn’t fly off as often as the back mount.
쓰잘떼기 없네ㅋㅋㅋ
Nice
Hey, will you post the STEP files for the printer attachment?
Maybe it's time to calibrate it? Your setting have 10% accuracy
Think abs would work?
absolutely.. I just avoid printing from ABS or ASA as the smell is just unbearable, even with ventilation turned on
What about the rival mt 10 and the quantum 2
those are bit more expensive
👎
Woah nice
Anyone know where to get the STL files for this?
will be making a V2.0 soon, will be designing all the parts from scratch instead of using someone else's work, and will release the STL's
Can you share the files to 3D print them?
will be releasing them when I finish v.2
@@therealfazee can’t wait, v1 looks good!
Hi. Please test music sync with TV OFF. Not one video showing if music sync is any good.
What software do you use?
Onshape

second :D
❤❤
So this guy made a whole video listed all the amazon links to the part he used for the project, but didn't share even the STL?
the nerve.. :D will be making a V2.0 soon, will be designing all the parts from scratch instead of using someone else's work, and will release the STL's
@@therealfazeeplease do. Definitely need this. Thx for your time.
@@therealfazee Did you end up making the 2.0?
😱😱😱
Why the hell do you have support 😅😅
for perfect print
I note that where the fan is on the printer the wall in front of it looks like it's metal, is the side of the Carbon X1 Magnetic Metal, Aluminium or plastic? Have you also thought about increasing the magnetic strength by fitting a shim between the fan and the internal wall of the printer with some slim n52 bar magnets in it? this would mean all that you would need for the out side on your connector would be a thin metal plate.
Please what printer did you use?
Bambu X1C
@@therealfazee Thanks a million for getting back to me! God bless you... Big time!
This is a good way to use a 3d printer and modeling program. I sadly don't know how to use my software very well. Nice work. 👍
PC is really strong and affordable
true!.. but also I found out it cracks really easily on inpact, the PA is now my favorite.. just have to print supports from other material which takes forever :/
@@therealfazee Yeah toughness is probably the priority in your application.
This is really nice! I’m currently building mine with the famous ikea skadis pegboard and 3D printing all of my customs brackets
that was my first option! but rather went with metal one... now after some time I see fiberboard would be as good as I don't really have anything heavy mounted on it lol
great video, thank you!
thanks! this one took a while to make, hoped for more views lol
does it also reduce the fan noise?
yes absolutely
Is there a reason you didn't print them flat on their backs? Probably wouldn't need support.
printing flat on back leads to lower quality of the printed "photo"
Nice work.
Thanks!
Só tá aqui quem caiu no bait 😂😂😂
Cool project! I can offer you some tips for improvements to test, if you like: You don't need to print the whole part in 100% infill. CNC Kitchen published a test on which parameters are more impactful on the strength of the part and tldr, the perimeters are much more important for strength. Maybe try printing with 6 walls and top/bottom shells and 30% infill. You will save on material, weight and print-time aswell. Made with Layers recently also published a video on infill patterns and the best allrounder there was cubic, so I would recommend that. Also, you could try another type of filament, ABS GF. It is infused with glasfiber which makes it stiffer aswell as lighter. you could save a little more weight there and maybe even go down on the number of perimeters while printing. For your issues with the supports with PA, you could take advantage of your AMS and use another filament as the support interface, one that doesn't stick too much to PA. ASA is supposed to be a good choice here, though I personally haven't tested that. PA itself has a really good layer adhesion, which makes removing supports harder.
thanks will check it out! Not necessarily looking for more stiffness. The PC is very strong, but still cracks too easy on impact. When I compare the printed wheels to the originals, I am able to push and deform the originals a bit by hand. So I need to print it in something more elastic which would be the PA, TPU is too soft. I know about the option to print the support in different filament and might try it with PVA but just don't print that way as that takes soo much extra time.
yeah there is also Support for PA/PET from Bambu
the bambu lab Aero fillament might be worth trying...
wouldn't it crack even easier when it's low density filament?
@@therealfazee ruclips.net/video/7AVTINNAqVI/видео.htmlsi=zhZ-M3fsvUiyhj7a asa should be very tough...
I shouldn't have to ask because it should have been mentioned. Does it have a loop mode???????????????
I use what is basically a grow tent, vent hose has an inline fan which I feed into a big cylindrical carbon filter which is way overkill for the small enclosure but works a treat. Search “grow tent carbon filter” to see what I’m talking about. I also run an air purifier with carbon filter in the room for when I’m not using the enclosure, like with PLA and PETG.
inline fan is in the plan for Ventilation 2.0.. :) tent is a good idea, even with ventilation on the smell still gets out of the printer through all of these small gaps etc..
@@therealfazee No smell gets out due to the pressure differential. When I turn the fan on to its lowest setting the sides of the enclosure are pulled in, even with gaps in the zipper for power (printer and lighting) and Teflon tubing for external spool or AMS. I use the enclosure for resin printing too and never smelled a hint of anything even with resin that is definitely not low odor. Of course I eventually have to open the enclosure eventually, that’s when I kick the air purifier to high. I’ve also covered the HVAC intake on that floor. I live in a 3 story townhouse; printing stuff is on the mostly-unused first floor (laundry, garage, front door). My setup isn’t as good as just venting straight outside but it’s the best I could do and honestly works better than I’d hoped.
great idea with the magnets under the tray!
Thank you! 😊
