Do I need to get license for 50cc scooter

People complain a lot these Chinese scooters but they don’t understand that every bike needs maintenance. I put 5000 miles of my 50cc no name scooter and the engine/transmission never exploded. The only parts I had to change out was the belt, CDI, and stator; which costed me less than $100 to replace. Now it’s got a 72cc big bore kit, forged crank, nibbi racing carburetor, and performance exhaust. Tops out around 55 MPH reliably. Eventually I can going to retro fit a 150cc gy6 engine on the 50cc frame for more power.

Mine must be special, I can do 35 and been 1k miles already. But I changed and checked ....I have two of these same year model. I suppose being made in China u get bad ones and good ones. Replace the Chinese parts and I feel these scooters are great

I love mine. I rip around the neighborhoods and sidewalks around my town and have a blast. Pull the governor screw and open the air box and youll hit 30 on flat ground. Theres tons of parts to upgrade it and make it your own. Its technically meant for a kid but can fit an adult pretty well.

Ive gone everywhere on my 50 cc with just light work done to it, its chinese and with just replacing the cdi and the cable for the spark plug I can hit 40 on a flat, I have gone on a 200 mile ride in the country. As far as angry cars if they can deal with bicycles they can deal with me. Sorry the road isn't just for cars and they need to learn that.

Just got myself a Roughhouse R50 Sport. Finished the break in and derestricted it, I can hold 42 GPS confirmed. Going to use it as a daily commuter.

So would you say taotao is to scooters what hi-point is to guns? Their cheap and will serve their intended purpose but for a few hundred bucks extra one can get something better.

I own a 2020 Honda Ruckus. It is 4 years old with 7,200 miles, no issues at all. I ride around town and get 100 miles to the tank, can’t beat that and the fun. Yes I get very desperate people behind me sometimes and I try to let them pass me if possible. Won’t change it for nothing. For longer trips or highway, I use my other bike, my 2022 Indian FTR 1200 R Carbon which is a beast, however she likes gas and throttle like crazy 😂🤪

I found a Vespa Sprint that's only a few years old and looks like new. Originally a 50 cc, it's been upgraded to a 70 cc engine. Is it worth $2400? Or should I buy a cheap bicycle for now and save up for a motorcycle license costing $3500, then invest in a real Vespa 300 cc or motorcycle instead? I'm wondering about the value for money and if the 70 cc upgrade offers significant advantages over the 50 cc. What are your thoughts on starting out with 70 cc rather than yours at 150 cc? I'd appreciate your advice so I don't end up regretting a second-hand Vespa purchase. Thanks for your insights!

i got a 2015 honda ruckus dam things bullet proof you can throw it off a mounten and the this will still run you buy a scooter from china it will be dead in les then two years there desined cheap and and parts are imposable to find not only that if you try working on a cheep china scooter more then likely the thing will never run again thats why i love honda there built tougher then a brick shit house and they dont die

Yea. I bought my 49cc to go to work wich is through a suburban neighborhood and a Lil in a 45 zone.perfect for me but yea,it can be very dangerous.those 45 to 55mph roads,u really need a 150cc imo.

I bought a Kymco Agility 6 years ago, 2nd hand. What a piece of junk, I have spent so much money on fixes. So a few weeks ago I ordered a European scooter, a Peugeot Speedfight 4 Sportline and hope the quality is up by a lot compared to the junk scooter. Yea the GY6 engine really isn't too bad but everything bolted onto it from the factory is junk. But in 1-2 weeks I'll have my brand new peugeot Speedfight 4 Sportline and then the final chapter is over on that piece of junk Kymco.

Its trash. Worked for 2 hours then wont start anymore
