    Everything you show is completely normal on all bikes (KTM, Sherco, Beta). As far as metal in the oil that is completely normal (especially first few gear oil changes) as well unless you see large chunks. You will see metal stuck to the magnet each time you change the oil. Nothing wrong with that bike, get out and ride the piss out of it, leave it together.

    • @ChrisBurns1119
      @ChrisBurns1119 22 дня назад

      Thanks man. Yeah I ride it as much as I can. It wasn’t so much the little bits of metal that I was worried about or reasoning for pulling clutch out to check as it was because of the hard clunky shifting But all has been good at 65 hours 👍🏻

    • @KyleManley-b4n
      @KyleManley-b4n 20 дней назад

    You are doing this in first gear or second gear?

  • @onthethrottle7104
    @onthethrottle7104 27 дней назад

    A little help here - you don't need to place yourself on the rear of the seat. That provides more leverage sure, but it's just putting you in the wrong place to begin with. Sit in the normal cockpit, use both your rear and front brake to push into the suspension and then let off the brakes and at the same time give it gas and release the clutch. When you load the suspension you literally want to stop the bike, then release and take off with the clutch released. The most important thing with all wheelies including pivot turns, you have to get good (and very comfortable) at rear brake modulation. Once you have that down you will not only be able to perform easy pivot turns but wheelies in general. You need to be able to apply and use your rear brake and it will be the most important tool and will also be your emergency stop from going over. Once you get good at using that rear brake you will be very comfortable pulling the wheel up and keeping it up because you will then know you are in control, not the bike. Right now it's easy to see the bike is in control of you. Also, put all of your gear on when practicing. This is important because you want the feel of your normal gear all of the time, especially your boots. And of course, your gear will protect you if needed when practicing and having a freak accident...just like a few of your wrecks there. We all started out at one time and it's all about practice and concentration. Cheers.

    • @ChrisBurns1119
      @ChrisBurns1119 27 дней назад

      Dude!! Thank you so much! I will Definitely start doing that and yes you are correct about the gear. I normally wear it messing around practicing but just didn’t this day. But I will take everything you just told me and apply it and start practicing it as soon as I can. Again. Thank you so much!!

    I got a bit of metal on my 1hr oil change as well. I havent but 3 hrs total on my 25' xcx. I got a question for your experience from yours. I kinda feel like the clutch chatters more than usual in neutral with clutch lever out. And also while lugging in higher gear when you wrap on the throttle i hear a kinda cha-chonk if you will.... accelerating. Sounds like clutch or im thinking power valve actuating? Im curious if youve felt the same? Thanks. And good content. Just subbed.

    • @ChrisBurns1119
      @ChrisBurns1119 Месяц назад

      Thanks man I really appreciate the feedback!! And thank you for subscribing! Yeah I def have a lot of clutch chatter with this bike. But it’s no different than the clutch chatter my 2022 300 xc has (last gen motor). I wouldn’t stress it one bit. And the noise while lugging in high gear is also normal. And I believe it to be the power valve as well. I hear it often. These 2 strokes make a lot of noise. Even just from the front of the pipe at idle and the amount of noises I hear from the cylinder lol. But yeah man definitely wouldn’t stress it. Back to the metal. My 22 never had any metal even when new. And to have alittle on first oil change like I did wasn’t to alarming. But the fact that I continued to have metal until 40 hours with a clunky shifting experience was alarming. It’s all better now but def had me stressed alittle. Again thanks man!

    • @zackeriahthurman3666
      @zackeriahthurman3666 Месяц назад

      @ChrisBurns1119 cool, glad to hear it's pretty much normal. I will say though, I was blown away with how smooth the transmission was on this new bike. It felt like each shift was consistently smooth. Unlike some of the other bikes I have had where you kinda feel what the shift drum and forks are doing in there...if that makes sense. Long of the short, it sounds like maybe there was something possibly funky in your trans.

    • @ChrisBurns1119
      @ChrisBurns1119 Месяц назад

      Oh I definitely agree there was something going on with it. My 2022 shifts super smooth. But it’s already passed warranty and I prefer nobody have their hands in my engine besides me. So as long as it’s good now with no issues I’m happy. And in the future when it needs a crank I’ll make sure to go over every part of the transmission very good

    • @mckinnontv
      @mckinnontv Месяц назад

      The noise in neutral with the clutch lever out isn’t the clutch. The clutch is at rest under spring tension. The noise is the dog teeth in the gearbox.

    • @mckinnontv
      @mckinnontv Месяц назад

      My theory on the metal is that its actually from the clutch … from the plates wearing against the basket. As the clutch beds in the shifting get easier.
