Rave Jam with Echo Cinematic and Poly Cinematic and friends
Poly Cinematic sequenced through an Echo Cinematic. The eq on the echo cinematic means there no muddy bass frequencies being repeated and only the brighter notes catch the echo, then there’s a few builds where I’m turning up the band pass frequency on the echo and adding a bit of the reverb in as well. Finished off with some Kickain side chain pump action and percussion provided by @rocket_not wobbler, @endorphin.es Queen of Pentacles and dark pew pews from @busycircuits Taiko Daiko.

Is Portamento available on the Pianophonic as well?
No it isnt. Pianophonic’s architecture is multi sample based so we can’t glide up to notes in the same way.

There are two poly Cinematics, one with its reverb on full, being triggered periodically through a clock divider every few bars. The kickain is ducking the resulting wash of sound around the kick, so despite the large amount of energy from the poly cinematic the kick is always cutting through.

Any plans to add an expander with CV ins for all the controls and CV outs for the pitches?
The CV ins are now assignable to any parameter but no plans to do an expander yet.

Hi, I have fun playing with the buttons, but when I plug in the CV, I need to press the sequencer pad twice to change the button’s position. Any idea why? Thanks!
Are you sending the gate/trigger at the same time as the cv change? What happens is when you first press the pad the cpilot triggers but the cv is still changing from the old value to the new, the second time you press it it plays the correct button because the cv isn’t changing. It’s a common sample and hold problem that is difficult to solve without delaying the trigger a bit, or advancing the cv a bit. Not something that can be done in the module.

Can I multiply the midi out with any buffered multiple module to control Poly Cinematic + Pianophonic modules with only one Chord Pilot?
You can’t use a mono buffered mult to split the midi trs but it is possible with a midi splitter to play both synths at once. Better still, Poly Cinematic and Pianophonic will each accept a chord dump from Chord Pilot, this lets you instantly transfer all 8 chord presets into all 8 chord memories on each module, allowing you to operate them independently of a chord pilot. I’ll do a demo on our RUclips channel shortly.

This sounds great, i'm interested in knowing what is poly cinematic plugged into here? it sounds like it's just a really nice delay verb but it can't be seen.
Poly Cinematic has a large reverb built in.

Ideally the device should be clocked externally. This will also give you access to the different arpeggio modes
This is such a beautiful instrument. Quite wonderful.
So the whole idea is to use only one root note or set of chords and if you want to tune the sound to something, you tune the oscillator rather than finding the chords on chord pilot?
The Chord Pilot also has a master transpose (push and turn Circle knob) that is independent of the chords root

I’m waiting and searching for this, since my Eurorack journey began. My preordered one @schneidersladen is on the way 😍. You create an absolut dream module and it’ll bring my biofeedback performances to the next level! But one thing makes me sad and you’ll hear it from some people before. It’s missing 4-8 hp more width with some patchpoints for modulation. The sound variety is crying for modulation 😢. But thank you for bringing piano to modular!!!
