This is a PCW built 1500 (Tourmaster) that we got in not running. A carb clean, new plugs, and a new CDI box later and it's running strong again. This is a 170 rwhp version (stage 3 cams, stage 1 heads, JE pistons, HD oiling and more).

Morleys Muscle Exhaust - 2005 Engine - Big Gun Mufflers
Просмотров 3,1 тыс.9 лет назад
This was the very first of the Morleys Muscle Exhaust systems we made using the big stainless mufflers. These sound incredible as you can hopefully tell by the video. We don't have these specific mufflers anymore but have very similar mufflers we now offer and we also use stainless pipe work provided by Marks Performance.

    My hen 2 is leaking and I was surprised to see they are conventional not upside down forks being they are usually much less prone to leaking. I need to do them but have actually stopped the leak by removing /pulling up the upper scraper seals so I could clean the main seals. So far so good.

    Hi Sean was told to watch your video on handle drop did that on mine and it bounced 1 and a half times on both sides so guessing that is wrong

    • @one2dmax
      @one2dmax 5 месяцев назад

      @@AndyLangley-s9h you may be a tad loose on the bearing tension with what you describe. Symptoms might include a wobble when letting go of the handlebar during deceleration around 30-40mph (add well as other speeds). You should be able to tighten the nuts to increase tension and get that to the fall and stop without bouncing which should improve stability

    I thought these things had air in them???

    • @one2dmax
      @one2dmax 8 месяцев назад

      The factory springs needed air to compensate for the low spring weight rating (about .37). The air is a crutch that is determinental to the overall function of the forks. Going with the stronger springs (either Racetech, Progressive as seen here, or a few other brands) will get much better function. Thus we do not use air. On the 85-92 forks we even eliminate the air crossover tube and weld the holes closed.

    I know this is an old video, but curious. I pulled off my flywheel on a 1989 Royal Venture. I have non-magnetic, large, half-inch aluminum shavings all over the casing and oil. My only clue is the Starter clutch is missing a steel ball (6 bearings, found 5) the screws were not peened correctly. Nothing in the case is aluminum so I'm wondering where it could have come from, the best way to describe is when you drill out aluminum rivets and they spiral into shavings.

    • @one2dmax
      @one2dmax 8 месяцев назад

      Sorry for the delay on a reply. You can email me pictures at one2dmax@aol.com but if you have a 6 roller sprag then that is not stock and someone used the ebay junk "heavy duty" starter clutch assembly. Not sure where the shavings would come from.

    Hi Sean, do you by chance know the width of the upgraded 2nd gear wheel and 5th gear pinion that Yamaha started to make in mid 85 to give in more overlap and fix the faulty thrust washer issue that the early Venture and vmax had. I am going to try and machine one for an old 84 Venture. Thanks in advance.
