Also a hotspring on other side of bay. In the 1960s it was a hole that the water came out of and d someone built an in ground bathtub, cement, I believe and had moss type covered planks in the bottom. You could only access at low tide. Where you are, it was a shack with a tub in it and a hose that ran continuously in it. We would bailout the tub a couple of inches to put in cold water. It was very hot. There were two middle aged men living up the river and they would walk down to the outdoor, homebuilt tub at low tide for their bath. This was all back in the 1960s when I was a kid. We used to go and visit Frenchie and Simpson and their Siamese cat, who lived on a house barge. Sometimes a dock would be at the entrance on the right and sometimes in the bay. The bay was usually too shallow at low tide for more than one boat to be tied to it. I think it was a fisherman’s net dock fir when he repaired his net.

Great trip you guys. Too bad few crabs. I few years ago we flew into Ocean Falls to meet friends on their boat for a trip through the inside passage. While at Ocean Falls we set one crab trap at about 2 pm, picked it up about 2 hours later hoping to have a crab for dinner. It was full of crabs, I mean stuffed. We threw any crab 7 inches or less back and kept the 8 and 9 + ones. I had never seen so many crabs in a trap. Apparently it is the eel gras which holds the big crabs. 60 feet of water right infront the blue building. I have pics as proof. You could make Ocena Falls in your boat . There is a dock and small store there.
