@owleeve2098 Same here! Definitely wish there were more Trip fans to talk to about him with (and reading all the fanfiction on ao3 because he needed more appearances in the anime)! And will do, I definitely want to try cosplaying him, maybe to a convention in the UK or France sometime, but also deciding which convention xD I've got around 80% of his outfit ready for whenever I do though!

I'm the author of "Chip on my Shoulder" (the one where Trip gets REALLY into musical theater haha) I'm convinced that it's the case and if I ever got a genie's lamp, I'd glimpse in a world where those episodes never got cancelled. In the meantime I'll just keep imagining Trip's adventures 😭

YESSSSSSSSS! My fave is def the second book personally. LOVE the symbolism of starting it with the epilogue and ending it with the prologue. The humor and the angst was hmmmm and the introduction of Shepard <3 Honestly, a lot of good things. The third is probably the messiest in my opinion but it's still so insanely good! I think I reread this trilogy about three times now haha

Okay I absolutely LOVED the first book, my teacher introduced it to the class, decided to check it out and I was actually invested in it. It was interesting and slow at first but got more exciting when Baz finally came in the picture. The ending was perfect and sweet ahfhdhshsh the prom 😭 SPOILERS AHEAD!!! Second book, roller coaster of emotions but the whole trip to America and their dynamics and the magical creatures and people they meet along the way was enjoyable. It felt a bit rushed and I didn't like how it ended on a cliff hanger, but I love their adventures. Also their relationship issues and Baz trying his best but UGHHH THE communication issues were making me tear my scalp apart. The third book was nice, I'm glad Simon found his family but omg the plot twist and the sweet nickname. It's been like several months since I read it but I remember in the first book Baz's mother still missed her son and cried for him, I forgot the nickname but it was "my sweet ___" something I don't remember. I think in the 2nd or third book Baz uses this nickname towards Simon (or the other way around) nd omg it was so sweet but sad. I think they'd be around 40 years old if they get to meet Baz' mother again :( Ahem anwyays the third book again... with the magical goats and stuff-- agatha and niamh don't get me wrong I find them cute but it just felt rushed and a bit forced imo. But anwyays I'm glad Simon found his biological family so casually after pulling the sword lmao. This comment is a mess but I love Simon snow and Baz pitch. Simon is literally that trope I saw somewhere of a hero after a journey gaining weight I'm glad he's happier now <3 and Baz and bjm are soo sweet gujdhsjsjsk they make me happy. Sorry for this being so long LMAO but I'm glad you ahd the patience to read it I get excited when I get to talk about my favorite novels. Anwyays im waiting ONE DAY twhen I can buy Scattered Showers just so I can read "Snow for Christmas" solely for Baz and Simon 😭😭

@@Jesicaah I loved reading this and I really agree! Based teacher. SNOW FOR CHRISTMAS IS SOOOO SWEET <3 Also book three is wonderful simply for the fact that they have an IKEA date in it. Peak content! AND YES SWEET PUFF! IT HAS ME CRYING!! I think one of my fave thing in book 2 is how Baz uses a family spell to heal Penny and he's like "let's not aknowledge this, just focus on getting better" like 😭the way he just starts to slowly think of Penny as, well Penny instead of Bunce or Penelope. There are so many things I love about this trilogy...

WAAAA THANKS SM!!!! Trip is def my favorite too!! It's clear the anime couldn't do everything it wanted with his character (I'm blaming the cancellation of the two Team Plasma vs Team Rocket episodes for everything wrong with the series) and honestly I want to revisit more of his character through animatic or fanfics. He deserves so much more. Even Journey didn't allow him to come back properly which was terrible. I'm really so glad you liked this! If that interests you, I'm planning a couple things surrounding him (even though I haven't posted about him in a while). Mostly an AU where he travels alongside Iris and Benga (HE SHOULD HAVE MET BENGA!! MISSED OPPORTUNITY RIGHT THERE!!) and I have a fanfic I'm currently writing where Trip post-league gets into musical theater and Pokemon contests haha! (if you want to look it up it's called "Chip on my Shoulder" under the name ObnoxiousAlabaster on AO3). Just thought I'd share those things since content for Trip is very scarce!

His story is genuinely interesting, if a bit rough (most likely because of changes and issues during the chaotic writing that was Best Wishes) so I think he really deserves to have a bit of positive attention! Haha! I highly recommend reading the original trilogy by Rainbow Rowell in this case :DD It's a subversion of the Chosen One trope as well as the love triangle trope. It's full of incredibly lovable characters, I'm sure you'd like it! (the first book is called "Carry On" :)))

THANKS SO MUCH!! It means the world!! I really tried to show how Trip's ambitions and his tendency to see the world in pure black/white is distancing him from others and such :)) (which is also why he deletes the picture. Sorry, no distraction from his path...) Gosh I had fun doing the Castelia part haha! This song is SO perfect for Trip! I had it in my playlist for him for... a couple months I think. Just because it fit the vibes. But I was weeding through them and when I ACTUALLY listened to the lyrics... boom, the animatic was born. It was just too perfect. (the black and white line, "growing up was the only thing on my mind", asking what he'd do one day, "everything is your fault" also hits for me where he blames everyone until he puts that blame on himself when he loses...) That's the reason I went with this translation of the song. I looked for other ones but these translyrics are the best for him! He's finally embracing life... The last part of the music video was what I had planned from the get go. I really wanted those shots. I'm so happy the emotions got conveyed!! The photographs are really my fave part honestly (might make a HD version colored and all as a desktop wallpaper). Everyone deserves a bit of love :)) In my head, he bonded with them after the events. Ueueue thanks again! Trip fans are dedicated!
