Can you connect a bass guitar to this amplifier?

I thought I was the only one with an APX1 from the 90's that is unique....mine is sprayed silver sparkle, by the guy who painted Noel Gallagher's guitar leopard print! Love your graphic art one.

There made by 8 years olds in China. :-) They look the part, but lets be honest, they don't last. Its all cheap running gear dressed up to look ok. Sorry mate, it sounds like a cheapo Guitar. Buy cheap, by 10 times. Save and get a real guitar made by a decent firm, not some knock off shit made in the fsar east.

Nice review, ta, but 48" scale sounds rather big.

Whoever did the setup does not know how hard you press strings or how high you like your strings. You have to do the setup yourself to get it rite. I cannot think of any other ways to do rite.

Thanks for a great review. I was looking for a parlor sized guitar, and your review tipped the balance in favor of the APXT2. I must say I was pretty surprised with the build quality. While the action falls far short of superb, mine was quite tolerable right out of the box. Even the Tuners hold tune in the case after the strings stretch in. And there is my BIG rub... I must say that for a guitar of this quality, I was disappointed with the cheesy gig bag, though I suppose it helps, in small part, to keep the asking price down. It would be far more suited to a lower end Chinese beater. I did find a gig bag at the second hand store for a Taylor Baby, and it was a very complementary fit!

Does the line out keep the amp speaker turned On???

Ironically. I have had a few cubes and - this is the only one that 1 doesn’t hum2 sounds wonderful. Got it used. Very lucky very happy. Only complaint- the level is so low on clean Chanel it is almost useless outside: that’s the one I use…

Hi from Cape Town Tks so much for your very informative talk & demo. I'm an active 72 year young rock n roll nutter. I recognised the Dire Strait song. Guitars in 🇿🇦 are damned expensive. However, after skrimping for years, I have finally decided that I want to fulfil my life ambition to master the guitar. This time, I am buying a 3/4 guitar, because my 1974 made in Japan, Ibanez Classical full size dreadnought with high action, is difficult to learn on, as I am a shorty with small hands. This guitar has a fantastic tone (for all genres of music) & I will use it as well in the future, when my fingers stretch more. (All rosewood)...love its tone. I have to wait until August, 2024 for the next shipment to arrive for the Yamaha APXT2. 🙃 ● I know I am asking a lot, but if you have an action gauge, I would be so grateful if you would tell me what your string actions are set at, now after you shaved a bit off under the saddle, as I intend to ask a luthier to also lower the action of my new APXT2, when stock arrives. PS I have listened to this multiple times....& so have my family🤣🤣🤣 Thanks again. Trish

May 2024 🇿🇦 Cape Town Thanks so much Marc. I was in my teens in the '60's & bought a full size classical, which is a fab guitar BUT I am short & have small hands....wider nut & very high action. Now grandson is learning on an electric Epiphone Casino (he's tall) & Granny now wants a guitar size that is a better fit for me. I have a very varied taste in music but my favourite is Rock n Roll ....Stones , Beatles etc etc. I liked your demo, playing & talking about lowering the action. I just got one from Sweet Water music about a week ago. The frets were either sanded back, or Recording King got the message. The sound is really great for the price I agree. The pick up is great. It sounds really nice. The only thing that I'm concerned about is the tuners. I fear that they'll break. So far so good though. The strings are currently D'addarios. Because I like the resonator for soloing at open jams, I want to put on some Elixer medium gauge to get an even brighter/louder sound. I'm cocerned, however that it will put too much tension on the tuners. Do you think it's a good Idea, to change them to Elixers or should I leave well enough alone?

Hi Marc, I'm Mike in the USA. I noticed that you didn't mention, or maybe haven't used, the flatwound pickups that MGB and CB Gitty sells. I use them quite often and one big thing I like about them is that they're surface-mounted (no cutting into the box or the neck) so they're easy to install, but most of all, these little pickups really pack one hell of a wollop! They come in 2K, 4K, 8K, & 13K. The 2K pickups even have lots of kick. Of course, I also do use the bobbin type pickups very often too. Anyway, thought I'd share that with you. Alan Entwistle is the man behind Revelation guitars. He makes great pickups---I have a couple of his humbuckers in a 335-a-like. He also designs and makes pickups for Burns and Rapier guitars.

I think I'll go fof this one( the new 80watts version of it ). I like yout accent, it reminds me of my past years when I was living in London(1983/84 and 1991/2000). These little Yamaha guitars are great. Was in a guitar shop last week and picked one of these up to try it. Comfortable and really loud for its size. Was in buying a new bass but might’ve been tempted to buy one if it wasn’t for that haha Great review

Hey my name is Dennis Fain and I have a resonator guitar dobro, and I would like to know not just order the strings for it but the electrical parts that like you put in your oh resonator guitar dobro I have one and I want to but I like to make it a it’s a Kusic right now but I want to make it a resonator don’t guitar dobro a Lectric fied that way I can hook a amplifier to it and I want to know where you got those electrical parts told to put it in yours and also when you teach your class, would you slow it down enough to where I can follow along with you and make it for I can play it mine else like I like, and if you were put in the bottom of your prescription where the place I can order the electrical parts and maybe strings for it when I need new s steel resonator guitardobro so I can learn from you. I’ve been trying to find a local instructor in my area to teach me but unfortunately I have not found anyone to do so there’s no one in South Carolina that will be able to teach me right as of right now, maybe later I can who hopefully will find somebody to do so, but I would love to play it and learn on it.
