Hey creeps! This week Britni celebrates the 15th anniversary of Coraline by making a fake cake of the iconic “Welcome Home” cake from the film! But first Zinnia sends her on a scavenger hunt around Portland, OR for the supplies she's going to need, by locating cat sculptures along the Curious Cat Trail! See some of Portland, Oregon’s most notable sites including the Pittock Mansion (including a brief history and some ghost tales), Pioneer Courthouse Square, and the Willamette River/Hawthorne Bridge. As you can see, there’s no time to waste! Let’s go make a fake cake!

Custom Cricut Vinyl Decals | Custom Love Pain and Stitches Bag!
Просмотров 2183 месяца назад
Hey creeps! This week Britni takes on an arguably unnecessary project by creating custom vinyl decals to update her Love Pain and Stitches bag, because why not?!? After fan-girling over Love Pain and Stitches Product line for awhile (but no seriously, go check out their online shop! Link provided below) she gets down to business by creating a three layered custom SVG die-cut file that preserves...
Repeat Pattern Design in Illustrator for Print on Demand (Spoonflower fabric)
Просмотров 1373 месяца назад
Hey creeps! This week Britni makes good on her promise to start breaking into surface pattern design! Over the last handful of years she’s started transitioning her decor in her apartment to something that she likes to refer to as goth light. Meaning, it’s all the trappings of gothic decor in bright bold color! This development paired with the recent release of Micheal’s and Joann’s dark academ...
1 yard (or less) sewing projects you can make in a day!
Просмотров 2,4 тыс.4 месяца назад
Hey creeps! This week Britni makes one yard projects with her fabric haul from Homespun Quilts and Yarn! One of Brit’s favorite trip rituals is to find, visit, and (of course) purchase from a local fabric shop. During Brit’s most recent trip to Astoria, OR with her husband she found a handful of the most adorable Halloween fabric bundles of a yard, which got her thinking about all the project p...
I organized my small art studio! | Small art studio transformation
Просмотров 2154 месяца назад
Hey creeps! This week Britni gets around to cleaning up and organizing her dumpster fire of a studio space! Since starting her RUclips channel she’s become a bit of a desk collector, one of which is more of a makeshift shelf holding sewing machines and crafting supplies rather than being used for typical desk tasks. To make matters complicated, the desk now being used as a shelf was made by Bri...
I made Midge Munster's iconic skeleton lamp!
Просмотров 6305 месяцев назад
Hey creeps! This week Britni FINALLY uses that black six foot skeleton she purchased at World Market last Halloween, and makes a skeleton floor lamp! Where did she get this idea you ask? Oh, just Midge Munster’s RUclips channel. Since starting to watch Midge’s channel roughly two years ago, Brit has had eyes for her aqua skeleton lamp which serves as Midge’s trusty sidekick whenever she films v...

I went to Halloweentown for the dark academia bookshelf of my dreams!✨🌙 ⚰️
Просмотров 2377 месяцев назад
As a renter, Britni has limited space in her apartment to dedicate to a dark academia library. So she’s opting for the next best thing by creating a book nook in that neglected corner right next to the bedroom and bathroom. She has the books and decor so all she needs is the perfect bookshelf, which may prompt a visit to St. Helens, OR (aka Halloweentown) to make all her book nook dreams come t...

Happy early Birthday, Britt🎉🖤🌷🎂🍭
Awe, thank you so much! I appreciate you!😊
The Caroline cat has nothing on your cat if urs can use phone aps lol
Lol!😂 You have an excellent point! Don’t let Zinnia know though, it might go to her head!😉😂
Badass jacket 😎
Thank you Jimmy!😁
5:15 the ghost effect is called a "flying crank ghost" its an old school prop that home hunters have been doing for decades. I'd suggest looking up tutorials on RUclips on how to make em.
Oh cool! Thanks for following up and putting the questions I had to rest. I’ll definitely be watching some tutorials on this. I figured it was probably relatively simple and straightforward, it’s just not knowing the best words to google to find your answers.😵💫 Thanks again!
Tin snips would have worked on the waffle interior or a dremel
I'd be afraid of that thread getting swallowed and causing problems. Cute though.
That’s a fair concern to have! That’s why I opted for the shorter stitch length for these to reduce the risk of swallowed threads!😅
I've watched the first season of "Wednesday" at least seven times. I've lost count. Thankyou for showing us how to make the window two different ways. It really cuts down on the trial and error process. I laughed when you said that you started the coloring process after four hours instead of twenty-four. I wouldn't have been able to wait that long either. I love to color!
Hey, me too!😆 I’ve watched Wednesday a handful of times as well, and I can’t wait for the second season! Lol, yup I can be impatient, especially when it comes to watching paint literally dry!😂
Wow that looks good! I was surprised at how much the paper in the back elevated the look of the piece. Nice job!
Thank you so much Linda, and thank you for watching!🖤
Hi Britni! The best part of your jacket is your own art work! It’s outstanding. You’re crafty! Love your channel.
Thank you so much Brad, that means a lot! Thank you for watching!🩷
OMGGGG this ROCKS. I can tell you had an amazing time 😆🎉 so stoked you got to go! The little peeks at costumes in the background were SO GOOD The 3 face clown on the haunted carwash was cracking me up. And the Michael / Art weapon exchange was truly precious.
It was amazing to get to go this year!🙌😆 Aaron and I have been wanting to attend MSS for a few years, but kept having schedule conflicts, but this year it worked out.😎Some of my fav costumes were the pink pyramid heads, there was a a great jackal from 13 ghosts, and the staples like Michael and Art are fun to see. The impromptu weapon swap was a lucky catch, and the haunted carwash was such a good time! So many fun memories made for sure!🥰
The cat patch matching your kitty is so awesome 🖤🩶
Agreed! Nana did such a great job!👌
I absolutely love that jacket! 👻🧛🏻♀️🧟🧟♂️🖤💀
Thank you so much!🥰😘
Hey boo! 👻🖤
Oh hey!👋😂
@trashy-panda-life has a short of skeleton lamps. Love this idea❤❤
I think I found it, and you’re right, it appears we have very similar skeleton lamps!😂 I also like the lamp they have with the skeleton figurines in the lamp’s base, very cool.👌 Thank you so much!🖤
LITERALLY SAW HER LAMP AND STARTED GOOGLING! I must make one!
Definitely a decor staple for all of us spooky folks…YES!🙌
I had a friend who would iron out her paper patterns and then refold them in an easier way to use.
This is a great idea Jessica, thank you for sharing! I may have to try this tip out next time.😃
Awesome work! I love the fabric choice and your finishing details with the bias tape. Also enjoyed seeing your arm tattoos in the sewing footage!
Thank you, thank you, and thank you!🥰 As always, thank you for taking the time to watch and comment, I appreciate you!🖤
I would be in trouble too if kitties are involved. Someone would have to pry me away to see the rest of the convention. 😆 Turned out amazing as always! I've been eyeing a lot of spooky fun patterns lately (mostly want to make pillow cases and some curtains) there's so many it's almost overwhelming lol.
Lol!😂 I knew better than to go see the kitties, cause Zinnie probably would have ended up with a few friends, which I’m sure she would be less than thrilled about!🙀 😂 I love finding the perfect spooky fabrics, pillowcases and curtains are great project ideas. Thank you so much Kristi!
So cute!
Thank you!🖤
I like the color blocking. It looks good!
Thank you so much!🖤
Have fun and i hope you can show some of what you see there.
Thank you so much Janice! Oh I got you, I’ll be doing a recap in the next video. I can’t wait to share!🙌
OMG!! We’re here at Midsummer Scream!! Sooooo exciting!! 🦇🎃💀
Hopefully I see you around the convention, don’t hesitate to come up and say “hey!”.😄 I’d love to meet you!
I love it! You did a great job 💀 just subscribed! Love Midge too👻💖👻
Thank you so much!🖤 That’s so awesome! Midge is pretty cool. 🥰 Thank you for subscribing!😁
So beautiful!!❤
Thank you so much Rachel!🖤
Now wait; bat wings on Zinny? Perfect. You have other worldly amount of patience. Those details are daunting.
Lol, I mean Exmoor and Zinnia are cute as is, but with bat wings? Forget about it!😂 Thank you so much John!
Even amongst the chaos of getting things to stick in the right places (I feel your pain lol) this was a super fun project to watch and it still turned out great in the end! I like projects that take tools to the edge of their potential, or even for something they weren't intended for; it's good for exercising those creative brain muscles.
Thank you so much Kristi!😃 I agree completely, half the fun(although it doesn’t seem like fun in the moment😂) of creating out-of-the-box projects is having to come up with creative solutions for issues that inevitably come up along the way!🤓
Beautiful work! That turned out gorgeous.
Thank you so much!🖤
It turned out beautifully! Thank you for this tutorial!
Of course! Thank you so much!😄
Hi Britni! That was interesting, way outside my box. You’ve got mad skills! A fun video to watch. I always smile when you pop up in my feed!
Hey Brad! Thank you so much! I’m happy to hear you were still entertained despite this video being a little more tech heavy than most of my other videos. When I get a video idea I’m really excited about, I’m probably going to do it, even if the video format is going to be different from the other ones. Thanks for watching!
Loved your designs! You amaze me! Your skills, creativity, details…I can’t wait to see what you create next!
Awe, thank you so much Susan!☺️😘
I just bought this exact one today!!! Im so excited for you and im so excited for me
That’s so awesome! For the price it’s a nice little machine, and the black is so elegant!😎
An intriguing dive into surface design! Your methodical approach to creating and printing these unique, eerie patterns is both enlightening and inspiring. The way you blend art and spookiness opens up a world of creative possibilities! 🦇
Oh wow, thank you so much! I’m so happy you were intrigued, enlightened, and inspired! You give the best compliments!🖤
Wow, this video is a fantastic blend of creativity and spookiness! 🍂🕸️ Your step-by-step guide on crafting a surface design print is both mesmerizing and incredibly informative. The eerie elements you incorporated into the design perfectly capture the essence of the spooky season. Printing it on Spoonflower truly brings your hauntingly beautiful vision to life. Thanks for the inspiration and the detailed walkthrough! 🎃👻
Of course! I’m so glad you found it informative and enjoyable! Let me know if you make your own repeat print, I want to see it!😎
You are absolutely amazing!
Awe, thank you!😄
I loved this video Britni! Thanks for taking us along on your trip to Astoria and sharing what you learned about the town. I loved your choice of fabrics and your sewing projects are so well made. ❤
Thank you Tiffany for all the thoughtful comments/compliments! It was fun putting all this together into both a cohesive but also entertaining way. I’m so glad you enjoyed it!😄
Britni shows a little about Astoria, OR and then continues with three projects with fabric she found on her trip. Interesting skill set of sewing techniques and fun kitty cameow appearances of Zinnia.
You nailed it! I’ll have you write my video descriptions going forward!😊 I like your punny sense of humor!😂
Wow. This video was chock full interesting things: travel, history, adventure, creativity, techniques, great ideas and CAT! Well done. You’re such a pro!
Lol, thank you John! I typically have maybe five-ish hours of video I edit down to 15-20min but this one had seven.😅It was a bit of a challenge to say and show all the things all while threading it all together into something cohesive, but I like how it turned out!
Perfect timing! I've been eyeing the cheap dust cover on my sewing machine recently, so seeing you make yours has given me confidence to tackle making my own.
Lol, that’s what I’m here for!😂 It was so easy, and I would say totally doable for any sewing level!
Hi Britni! It’s nice to see you sew. You make cool stuff! I really enjoyed seeing Astoria in your video. Maybe I’ll go there someday. Our favorite weekend trip is Glenwood Springs, Colorado. I’m already looking forward to your next video!
Thanks Brad! You should definitely check out Astoria at some point! It’s one of my and Aaron’s favorite weekend getaways, right up there with the OR coast (Cannon or Rockaway Beach mostly) and Hood River, OR (located in the Hood River Valley with perfect views of Mt Hood). I haven’t been to Glenwood Springs yet, but it looks beautiful! Thanks for watching!
Your Astoria adventure looked like such a blast! Mixing history with cozy spookiness? Sign me up! ⚓️ And your projects? They were amazing! Those creepy fabrics you picked were the perfect touch-so creative and fun! And seriously, Zinny? Too cute to handle! 🐈⬛
Augh, I do love Astoria!😍 It makes for such a perfect weekend getaway! It’s quaint, but there is still a lot to see and do there. Thank you for all the wonderful compliments, I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Zinny is hands down the cutest.😻
I’m pretty disorganized however I can usually find what I want. I need to hire you! As always, it’s fun to see you and Aaron support each other. Good video!
That’s typically my default system too!😂 I love when I get to rope Aaron into, I mean include Aaron, in the content creation mayhem.😉 Thanks Brad!
Awesome work! That desk piece was cool but it's nice of you to pass it on to someone else and get your space functional for you
Thank you! It was a tough decision, but in hindsight it was the right one. Someone out there is really going to appreciate it!😊
Thank you for showing us your way to organize. I love watching your creative content. 🕷🎃🐈⬛
Of course Janice! Thank you for watching!😊
Well done. Designing a studio space is a tough job. I think you might have a square footage deficit. But clearly you maximized what you had to work with. No cat cameows?
You’re right, space constraints make it hard when planning out the layout all while taking into consideration the needs and wants of the people using it! No kitty cameos, just husband cameos in this one.😿
Out with the old, in with the crafty! Loved seeing the workspace revitalized and reborn! Who knew cleaning up could be this entertaining? Can't wait to see what creativity flourishes in our shared office space now! 🎃🦇
It was a much needed improvement for sure! I’m excited to start making things using this new and improved space!🖤
Hi Britni! This is so cool!! Thanks for the other channel info, I have to go check it out! It’s funny because I’m 46 and I always loved skulls and everything dark but in the 90’s and early 2000’s I was seen as a freak and most people were scared just because I had a skull collection ! But now, a lot of people like them (or they just admit it now 😂) . Anyway, thank you for your channel, I absolutely love your videos! Hope you got a skull chocolate for Easter! 😜
Hey Eve! It’s so interesting to see how things have evolved where many people seem to be more outwardly accepting of dark and macabre things(at least from my perspective😜). I have some guesses as to why this happened, like how we grew up reading Goosebumps and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, while watching scary tv shows catering to kids like Are You Afraid of the Dark. All these things contributed to us being spooky kids who grew up into spooky adults, which has translated into an affinity for Halloween and skull collections!😂 Thank Eve for all your kind comments, and continuing to watch video after video! You really know how to put together a comment that makes my heart smile! Happy belated Easterween!🖤
You have great vision for what a thing could be.
Oh wow, thank you John! What a great compliment!
Great job. It would be cool if you could turn the lump on and off by pulling on one of the arms. Or am I just being weird?
Lol, that would be awesome! I think I need to watch more video tutorials to be able to pull that off, and I’m sure there’s a pull my finger joke to be made somewhere in here…😂
Hi Britni! I love girls with power tools. You’re also a bone fitter, pipe fitter and an amateur electrician. You made me a little nervous using the wood bit to hollow out the bones. Put a glove on that hand! Fun stuff!
Lol, you’re right, I thought about wearing utility gloves as a safety precaution after I was done hollowing out the bones. I guess I’ll know better for next time! Thanks Brad!😄
It cracked me up to see the skeleton body made headless 😂 SO WORTH IT OMG. 😍😍😍 that finished product!!!
Lol!😂 Who knows, maybe making a skull lampshade will be a future project?🤔Thanks Lauren!😄
