2:15 The captain could be either Dave, or Dennis Cleary, both were directors of Jackson Lloyd, a maintenance company that was mainly contracted to council works, based just off Enfield Street in Pemberton, they also had works units in Skelm and Eccles to serve those areas too, I did 10 years with them from 1998. Sadly, Dennis is no longer with us.

I was lucky enough to see their very first concert at the hunters moon in 97. I've seen them several times since and will continue to see them. They're amazing talented guys. And thoroughly lovely blokes too

I loved this especially the picture of the old baths. I had swimming lessons there in the early sixties. The teaching method consisted of the teacher throwing a hoop attached to a rope across the bath to us. We put our arms through the hoop and he pulled us across the bath. Also the shots of the Old Arcade. Who remembers Smith’s newsagent? They actually had a battle with WH Smith over the use of the name and they won.
