Game Making Simplified: The EASIEST Way to Get Started
This is true I’m working on a game with someone I’m doing the art but I don’t know what the game is
Bet it will be great!
i'm not a fan of screenshake everyone disalbes it who plays modded Celeste. i make my own mods it's a good way to learn game design. Celeste made their entire Fmod project available for learning purposes. I feel like making another Stardew is not a good idea. Bloomtown just did that, it's an amazing game but i don't think it's doing huge sales to be honest. the Game sphere is very flooded market right now. you gotta make some weird or really good , Maple Forest just got funded on kickstarter in one day. do you know about this game?
Yeah mods are a great way to learn game design! And yeah it’s hard to recreate great games. And I haven’t heard of it, I’ll check it out though!
verry good video. you make alot of good examples. a small thing tho: can you try to speak more clearly?
Thank you! And yeah that’s something I need to work on, and a big reason it was worse in this video was that I was a little sick while making it.
The game that comes to mind is Braid. The way it worked out a basic set of core playing mechanics, then organised the game around those mechanics in a progressive way is instructive.
That’s a great example! Keeping your mechanics organized and building the game around simple mechanics is super important in game development.
I loved watching this game being made
Yeah this was a great one to see take form
You’re right my games suck 😭
😶
To think that Nintendo tried to sue Palworld lol
Yeah they are 🤣
Monke 🙈🐵
🙊
Amazing video!
Thank you! Appreciate that a lot!
@@HeuzyGameDevYT No problem!
great video, may actually make use of some of your advices in my game 👍 also wanna underline your high publish rate and what u say always sound very thoughtful (despite your apparent age with your voice ... )
Ay thanks for leaving a comment! And thanks for the kind words. I’ve had a pretty bad upload rate in the past but I’m going on a bit of a roll right now, so we’ll see if it lasts!
Probably your best video yet, flawless execution 🔥
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching 🔥
“Yknow I don’t like that quote anymore, I want a different one I’ve decided” -Heuzy *2024*
I made my own quote💪
W song 😀
Agreed!
Tx
Lol😅
Bruv, what a banger, I think I can start coding now
It’s that simple 🔥
thumb nail is hollow knight i click thumb nail
Very valid reason! haha
W tips! I like the fast-paced nature of the video, very cool
Thank you! Definitely tried to keep it as quick as possible!
Thank you for the tips! I've been thinking about starting this journey for the past few days. Now might be a good time to start :D
I’m glad you found them useful! Hope your game dev journey is great if you decide to start it : )
I love how brief this is because it focuses solely on the main point every time. Love the video btw! Beautiful executed 🔥
Thank you! Tried to keep it short and to the point! 🔥
"You can make an amazing game, but you can’t make a success. Your players make the success" -Irme Jele, founder of Bossa Studios
Great quote 👌 And alongside this knowing who your audience is is very important. If you are appealing towards a younger audience, then you’ll need to make a much different game then if you were appealing towards a mature audience.
lol this is a pretty fun idea interested to see what you do with it
Thank you! Hope you’ll stick around to find out : )
Love the tips! As someone who wants to get into game development, this advice really helps. Thanks, Heuzy! I'll be sure to credit you if anything I do skyrockets off, haha.
Haha glad you’re finding it useful! Good luck with your projects, I look forward to seeing what you make!
wowza kabowza your art is super sweet! it's very clean and pleasant. great concept too. hope you have fun working on it! :]
Thank you for the kind words! I’ve been working hard to get better at art. And I’m excited for the projects future!
Can’t wait to see what you do with this! 👊🏻 🔥
Me neither! 🤣
Is this inspired by soul knight?
It's not but I just looked up the game and it looks super cool!
Hold on. THIS IS FRIGGIN GENIUS
I want to play this
I appreciate that! And it'll probably be a bit until it's playable to the public, but I hope you'll consider sticking around so you can eventually play it : )
Man I hate bugs when they appear. Good to see someone is removing them in 'style' haha
I think we could all use a little guy to remove our bugs and help us finish our game haha!
Cool idea! I like the enemy’s colorful designs and the overall idea (huge zelda fan!) Having also done game jams (more than 20) I know that starting a bigger project is hard (i scrapped 2 of mine and am working in my third), but this idea is promising! Great name too
Thanks RKI! Finishing big game jam projects is really hard, hope both of us can do it this time around! And I’m glad you like the name haha!
Can't wait to see where this goes! Love the development so far, man.
Thank you! I can't wait either haha
Hiii what's up

Hi
Hello
Erm, no sub from me. Hehe
Totally agree Do this by prototyping before starting a project too
Prototyping is 100% the way to go!
Using color palettes and simple shapes can indeef yield very nice results!
Agreed!
Keep up the great work my guy!
Thank you! That means a lot!
