    I’ve found the cheddite primers to be far superior to the Winchester 209 ones. I’m still sighting in my new cva accura Mr-x and the primer has been a huge difference

    I watched a video several years ago, and they were talking about some of the Texas ranches. They said they would find bucks around 2.5 and 3.5 years old, that had broken skull plates and died from it. Very aggressive.

    My optima does not like those 250 grain aero lites. It shoots the 295 grain powerbelt hollow points pretty well.

    Geese will control the algae and other vegetation and you won't have to spray anything. We bought acres and the pond was totally choked with cat-tails, algae and other water weeds and the geese totally cleared it within a couple of months, from then on the pond was clear and clean and looked magic.

    777 are less hot..yes less pressure..straight from Thompson center..there especially made for all pellets...a high pressure 209 magnum will crack a pellet which destroys accuracy..you can crack a pellet by loading and pushing the bullet down with a dirty barrel...and remember that the TC encore 209x50 muzzle loader was the first muzzle loader designed for the 209 primer..long before any other company

      I process my own most of the time. I was using Dino's until they turned bad. I also use Southern Meat Market in Millington. They are pretty good but have a long wait time once gun season starts. Doing it myself has been working well.

    Do the gill bed only in spring or throughout spring and summer? Don’t think they bed in fall as fishing has been slow this time of year.

    My recommendation is to zero 3 to 4 inches high at 100 yards. If your velocity is somewhere between 1570 to 1650 fps your round would be zeroed to about 150 to 160 yards (give or take) and that should give you about 8 inch drop ( give or take) at 200 yards. I am a western hunter so I try to max my point blank range as shots are typically longer in the prairie!

    yesterday i went to walmart and got same thing you did and picked up 220 pound rope string and rigged me a trot line just like you did then i added a swivel like you did paired up with 12 pound monofillament , it so rewarding to rig up my 1st trotline, as always you sir earned a new subscriber
