N64 Super Mario 64: Level Warp Modification

I found a memory address that controls what level is loaded when entering paintings and such. With some messing around, I got it to load the final scene. To try this, start inside the castle, lock address 00C26CCA to 25 (Byte type), and enter any painting. Potentially useful for TAS runs only if any overflow bugs are discovered in the game. Rom used: Super Mario 64 (U) [!].z64

Was messing around in Cheat Engine and discovered some addresses containing warp information. Changing them leads to many interesting effects, some crashes too. To try this, start outside the castle, and lock address 00C26CC9 to 1 (Byte type). Rom used: Super Mario 64 (U) [!].z64

As of right now Nov 8 2023 the maximum of stars possible in no A presses is 67. And on wiivc 98 is possible
It is Oct 23 2024 and 13 a presses are required for 120 stars
Never seen this kind of challenge before this will be interesting
You need to check out Pannenkoek2012.
Although this is extremely outdated due to a certain Dutch man and his friends, this still remains really impressive for its time.
