Welcome to My RUclips Channel! For years I've been busy fixing things: cars, air conditioners, appliances, electronics, lawn equipment, you name it. I finally decided it's about time to share my repair experiences with others. My mom always says "Jack of All Trades...Master of None!" Seems an appropriate channel name as I don't claim to have mastered anything, but I'm pretty good at repairing stuff. I just enjoy the satisfaction of fixing things myself. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the videos!

Hello,''Jack of All Trades'' I saw your channel and saw that in your channel have some problems, not many. For these problems your channel is not growing. If you can solve these problems, Your channel will grow like a storm. Do you want to know these problem? If you Want to know, I can only tell to you. Can I tell here or email?
This worked! Used this technique on a Kenmore 90s series. I had to tighten it a bit more for it to be disloged, but it worked. Thank you SO much!
Thanks. I got the cheap three jaw puller at O'Reilly. I cranked and cranked with no luck. Got out my impact gun, which I thought might destroy something. I closed my eyes, pulled the trigger, and bingo. Success!
As we are going to take up our own toilet and replace it very soon, and not knowing the condition of the old flange, I appreciate your video. Having said that I would have liked to see the whole process of removal of the flange.
Got a question about the coolant reservoir tank. On the side of it the part that looks like a handle is there supposed to be a plug in there? There's a hole in mine it's completely open
Mine is completely open as well, it's also the same case for the reservoir on our 2014 avenger, I'm pretty sure it's just a vent. These cars do not have pressurized reservoirs.
@@Kaizushiya yes I found out it's a air flow vent.
I cut it off with reciprocating saw
Saw another video that seemed very involved, removing the door panel to start then a whole bunch of disassembly. Your idea seems much more practical and still presents a nice look. Honda makes quality cars....except for their armrest finishing materials, lol. Nice job.
Air hammer hear I come fuk this shit I'm get some tannerite too
It worked it worked it worked! I LOVE YOU! LOL. I had a repair guy come out and say no way no how done deal. I did it and it was relatively easy. I'm a 50 yo woman...my husband did help a little. One thing to note, I bought both a 4 and 6 inch puller and the 4 didn't fit mine..."whirlpool from 90s". I needed the 6 inch. Any way a million thanks to you
Won't even break loose wit a spanner wrench.
Thank you sir!
The only thing that I would add for future DIYers is, put the bolt back in the threaded hole before placing the puller. That will prevent damaging the threads at the top of the hole. You may have to put a prick punch mark on top of the center of the bolt head if there is a point on the end of the puller screw stud. That will prevent the puller shaft from drifting as screw pressure is applied.
I just used a Hex bolt (5/8" x 3") and a hammer. Put the head of the bolt in the tub nut slot and tapped it with a hammer. Moved it around the nut and it came loose. *I did spray it with WD40 first. Did the same with the split in the drive block, first in one direction and then the other. Used a block of wood to tap around the spindle shaft, walking it around the shaft and viola', the tub lifted out.
Great for getting the initial radiator out, not so helpful for getting the new one in
Installation should just be the reverse of removal
some people need their hand held through out the whole process
very nice, i was a bit concerned about damaging the threads , but i have that exact puller so will give it a try
Glad I found this. I think I have done it before but my old mind did remember until I saw this. I think this explains a fear puller being in one of my appliances tool bags.
Easiest water pump i ever did 😂 loosen the pulley bolts before you take the belt off😂
Core tube rubber gasket failure (tear).
This is the style on my '06 1500. Took me a dozen Silverado videos to find yours. None of the others showed this type connector!
This is fucking brilliant. Thank you
Kill me now!
NC Girl here changing her own water pump 😊 Thanks for the video. Now let's get down and dirty and break some fingernails 😅 Git R Done lol
This is an INCREDIBLE video thank you sooo much for sharing .I have just one question before I attempt to try this method and you can correct me if i`m wrong. Is the drive block coming of the shaft with the tub & what size puller are you using? Sorry that`s Two questions. My Tub is really really stuck.
1. The drive block should come off with the tub. Once you pull the tub, you can loosen and remove the spanner nut and carefully tap the drive block out with a small block of wood and hammer. 2. It’s a two jaw 4” gear puller.
Thanks for resonding to my questions! I tried first thing this morning with the puller .When I used the puller the tub does`nt come off but the shaft just goes down into the drive block and becomes very tight . Is that suppose to happen@@jackofalltrades3880
@@horacelee880 Try to loosen the spanner nut first and put it back on hand tight before you set up the puller? If the transmission shaft is going down then what you are doing is working and the drive block is becoming free. Keep trying. Use some WD40 if you have it and spray the drive block and shaft.
A tip to help with the o-ring seal to help keep it in place and to make sure it doesnt get any damage is instead of gasket maker or any kind of glue use grease. The grease is thick enough to hold it in place and wont cause any leaks, also its good practice on any o-rings and o-ring gaskets to apply a thin layer of oil to help keep it from binding up or getting pintched from not being able to slid into position. I somtimes if i dont have any oil around will pull the dip stick and pinch off the oil on the tip and just give it a light coating. May have to dip it back in to the pan one or two times but its a little hack i use if not at the shop or somthi g lime that. Hope this will help someone someday!!
Thank you for this video !! I didn't realize that cross member unbolted until I saw your video , I was NOT looking forward to replacing my radiator until I saw this information ... You have given me new motivation to get this taken care of in the next few days 😅
Thanks for leaving a comment. Glad the video was helpful!👍
This method works great!!! I used a large three arm 5 ton puller from AutoZone, part#57078, free rental, and had a pair of vise grips that matched the spline pattern perfectly!! Used an impact driver on low power with the socket and it backed right out. Used a heat gun to warm area, don’t use a torch I will melt the rubber seals! Thanks Again!!!
Glad you got it pulled!
Thank you so much. I tried everything for a week to unstuck my inner basket, and I looked up everything on RUclips and Google, but this just took only a minute. I am genuinely surprised I was unable to find this technique anywhere else. You're doing great work. Thanks again.
Glad the video helped. Thanks for your nice comment!
OK. what is the part number for the top drive shaft seal?
No need to remove the gray lock. It has to be pulled out as far as it can while simultaneously pressing on the tab. The connector should pull right out. Yes I do agree getting the gray lock to move can be difficult. The needle nose pliers will help. The lock has dual purpose of also being a pry tool on the connector.
Good info. Thanks!
So glad I found this video, thanks!
Thanks worked like a charm. Just go slow and easy.
I watch a lot of other videos with c clamps and even one with a guy using a scissor car jack. Lol. But this has to be the easiest one to do just make sure u use the vice grip like he mentioned or it will not work. Ty for curing my headache lol
Thanks for the nice comment 👍
Where can a find the water pump pully for a 2000 GC se
Try local junkyard first, then parts house or online.
I have two questions: 1) Is there any reason not to use a three-armed puller instead of a two-armed like you are using, and 2) Should one take precautions or be worried about deforming the top of the transmission shaft where the puller point is resting?
I suppose you could use a 3 armed puller but it may be more cumbersome to position due to the angles involved and flange space. That transmission shaft is pretty tough. If you’re concerned about deforming it, I suppose you could insert something in between the puller and shaft that could handle some pressure.
@@jackofalltrades3880 Thank you! I've been spritzing that area with DeepCreep Seafoam every few hours for 2 days now. Hopefully by the time I pick up the pullers today, it'll be ready to pop right off!
This is great, Mr. Thank you so much. I'm making fireplaces from stainless washer barrels. They sell like hot cakes, and they're free from the dump.
Thank you for the nice comment! 👍
Your system was fantastic - I went to Harbor freight and bought a set a pullers. But it did take me about 3 hours to get it out. Same washer as yours in the video. I was stuck like hard cement. Thank you again for your plain spoken extremely helpful video!!
Glad you got it out! Thanks for the nice comment! 👍
God Bless you! - VERY Helpful - I will try it now
Very Helpful - Same washer and situation for me - I'll try your method - THANKS!
Is there any danger using a heat gun with the gases from the sewer line? Is it flammable?
As with all repair work, there are dangers that must be mitigated, and as stated in my disclaimer, please do your own research and contact a professional before you start or perform any job.
Thank you for this quick, no-nonsense video! Had the spanner wrench but the nut was going nowhere-until I followed your WD-40 + hammer advice. Your uncommon common sense set me free! Thank you!!
You're welcome! Thanks for taking the time to leave a nice comment!😊
Thank You, I have a puller and this was just what I needed
What’s the name of the tool
It’s called a two jaw 4” gear puller.
It worked like a champ. Another video said it wouldn't work but I trusted this method. I just kept cranking and it popped this bad boy right off. Thanks again!
Give the drive block a shot of WD-40, let it sit, then hold a piece of wood on top of the drive block, like a small section of 2x4, and strike with a hammer. I wouldn’t hit the drive block directly with the hammer as you may damage your tub flange.
@@jackofalltrades3880 Thanks for the advise! You are the man! I really appreciate your time and your helpful insight on this job. Take care!
Great idea! Mine is stuck so I will try this! Thanks!
Thanks you.
Thanks for the video. It had me about to blow a gasket. You showed and explained it perfectly. Really appreciate video. Thanks again
You’re welcome! Glad the video helped!
Thank you for the video, i sincerely appreciate it! I have a 98 Dodge Grand Caravan, Sport Edition, over 235,000 miles.
Thanks for the comment and sharing! 235k! 👍
Hi I have the tool and sprayed wd40 and still can’t remove it. I have been hitting it with a hammer for over an hour. Is there anything else I can try?
Sorry that you are having trouble. Be liberal with the WD40 so that it penetrates down into the threads. Do you have your pliers tightened enough to firmly hold within the notches on the spanner nut? Are you striking the pliers in the right position, just below the knuckle as shown in the video? The force needs to be directed near the teeth of the pliers as much as possible. Are you striking to make the spanner nut go counter-clockwise? If you are doing all these things and still not having success, you may need to get a spanner wrench.
Same here. I have spanner wrench and sprayed around the nur and still won't break.
Air hammer and compressor
I might just cut it and buy a new nut
