I designed and built the first JE guitars in the 90's because I saw that Guitar Amps would someday be replaced with software based machines. I also knew that the analog nature of the vibrating string combined with the human hands and could never be replaced. I wanted to build guitars that were stronger, more accurate, with higher quality materials. I had expected the digital switchover to happen after the new century kicked in. The Idea was to create a better Stringed Musical Interface than those designed for loud distorted amps. 25 years later, the guitar is now played through an infinite variety of amp simulators and computers but still use the vibrating string as the "germ" for many styles of music.
