Parking ticket
Same in US. The cops are only here to generate revenue.
If he says do you know why he stop you and you say don't know doesn't suggest that you weren't aware of you speeding. Because if you knew you were keeping to the speed limit then you still don't know why he stop you. So don't kniw dosnt mean you were speeding if you knew you weren't speeding plus going by the question you still don't know why he pulled you over. A stop could be anything with your vehicle. If you were keeping to the speed limit then answer to the cops question would still be don't know🤔
Police: do you know why i pulled you over? me: i was hoping you'd know!
You cannot "know" why you were stopped, you can guess, surmise, suggest reasons, but unless you are a mind reader you cannot know why. I was asked by Customs "are you familiar with the list of banned goods?" So I replied "No, but I can guess a few of them like bombs, guns and drugs - are there more?" The officer then began to recite a long rehearsed list, so then I interrupted by asking "what was that one you said after plutonium?". The officer couldn't stop grinning and said "Go on!". Humour always helps defuse a situation.
funny story - thanks for sharing. When did this happen?
@@LegalLoopholes About 15 years ago at Southampton port. I was always travelling alone with a lot of technical equipment and this is what was attracting all the attention.
People like you my friend are very dangerous to the public. The police usually stop cars under S165 and they do not need to suspect any crime at all. If you fail to communicate with the police by producing documents or failing to tell them who you are then you are likely to be arrested. Why do people like you feel the need to do these videos. It baffles me!
Why don't the police get a life parasites
I'm afraid telepathy isn't one of my strong points officer 😅
haha, what do you think they'd do if you said that?
Do you know why I stopped you? Because you're playing car snooker and now you're on the colour of my car.
Car snooker - did you invent that?
@@LegalLoopholes no. I think I heard it in a joke many years ago.
It shouldn’t be like this where there out to get us..there never there when someone breaks in your house or car but there ready to get drivers as it’s easy to process..
but it feels that way
It's no longer legal in California for cops to ask this.
that's the way it should be, right?
Keep all communications with the 'police' to a bare minimum. They are not here to help and support, and they are most definitely not to be trusted under any circumstances. Their current politicised role in the UK, is to raise revenue, and oppress any opposition to Starmers dictatorship.
You walk a fine line: Think Betari box and how attitude beats behaviour. Context is everything and Police officers have a lot of discretion. At the first point of contact any police officer with a degree of craft will be continually assessing you by carrying out an attitude test... in certain situations you can establish rapport with the police by taking responsibility, and get off the hook.
Dykwisy? Is it because you're performing a routine traffic stop, officer?
what does Dykwisy mean?

Officer : Why do you think I stopped you? Driver : Is it cos i is white?
You could always comment that you can smell alcohol and cannabis on the pretend police constable .
ha, on you or the officer?
@@LegalLoopholes well it's a game they like to play , so play the game
The best answer came from a traffic officer I knew years ago, ‘I’m not very good at general knowledge, can you ask me one on sport’…
i got stopped in liverpool few months ago police told me i was doing 45 in a 30 and told me they had me on there cam i said okay and asked to see my doing 45 in a 30 on the cam while sitting in the back of there police car they opened the door and let me out told me to be on my way as i told them you dont have cams in your car this is a panda police car not a traffic police car they were not best pleased lol
Simply say ‘no comment’
how do you think that would go down though?
I usually "say would you like my ID?".. " Can I help you".. Never rude or aggressive.. Learned the hard way!!
what happened when you learned the hard way?
perhaps not speeding may prevent you from having to lie by omission or obfuscation in the first place
It's not always that simple though. What if you get pulled over when you did nothing wrong?
This is actually really bad advice. There are questions which you do need to answer even if you haven’t done anything wrong. Following this guys advice of saying nothing when asked your name, address, date of birth would cause you to commit an offence for which you would be likely to get arrested. Or produce your driving licence. Even then, there’s still questions you must answer to an avoid committing offences. This is the problem with these videos made by non professionals, they could land you in trouble just for trying to be RUclips smart
Why would you be committing an offence if you don't answer?
I like to say, "You've pulled me over, to let me know that you caught the person that stole my car in 2020 😅"
how did your car get stolen?
Anything you do say may be used to stitch you up SO NEVER SPEAK TO POLICE WITHOUT A LAWYER PRESENT
How are you supposed to get a lawyer so fast though? Won't they take you to the station?
Police force Scotland tried pulling me over one, the idiots in the police car only put on their rear blue lights and kept flashing there main beam at me, to me being a Northern Ireland veteran first thought was car jacking so I headed for my local police station in Dunfermline totally ignoring them behind only new who it was when I pulled into the car park outside the police station. Idiot didn’t even activate his siren. Whole time I was on the phone to the police. The 2 officers were reprimanded on the spot by a sergeant for not following correct procedures, I was told to go home and relax after explaining why I didn’t stop. This was at about 11 at night.
Almost mate ,even if you're interviewed you have the right to not speak.
unless you're suspected of a crime, right?
@@LegalLoopholes even if suspected of a crime, you have the right to silence.
Yeah I'm no expert but as far as I'm aware all interactions with the bizzies should start with who they are, what stations they operate from and the offence your beings questioned about that has to have been either reported by a member of the public or actually witnessed by the officer in question! Because as they say themselves you are not obliged to incriminate yourself and everything you say can and will be used against you!
The road pirates are there to extort you money. They have daily quotas to reach.
is that true?
@@LegalLoopholes Yes, it's true. One of my friends, a police officer, admitted to the fact. When questioned about it, the city council said, and I quote, "Police officers don't have ticket quota; they have performance objectives." So, they basically changed the word quota by its definition thinking that people are dumb enough to take the bait. Moreover, a portion of the ticket goes to their association for their Christmas party.
“Why do you think I stopped you” eh “because you were bullied at school”.
lol, how do you think that would go down?
Police: "Do you know why I stopped you?" Driver: "I was hoping YOU would know..."
so driving without due care can be added by your admission
@@frombrum If you believe you did the right thing and then got stopped, it would be logical to assume the officer initiating the stop would know why they initiated the stop. Right?
@@bigrobsydney These people know exactly why they have to be stopped but are to cowardly to be honest Or more likely are fantasizing about what they would say but actually will cry like babies
@@frombrum You sound like you have an axe to grind, over what is some very genial humour. In a nutshell, are you okay?
@@bigrobsydney these people aren't joking they seriously think they are right and waste my money and the polices time
Cop: "Do you know why I pulled you over?" Me: "What do you mean do I know why you pulled me over?" Cop: 'Don't you understand the question?" Me: "What do you mean don't I understand the question?" Just keep doing this and see how long they take to get the message.
Exactly
Hang on i will look into my crystal ball
ooof, how do you think that will go?
I would just so No I don't.
I mean, that's super simple, good idea!
Just say , I'm a immigrant so f#@king leave me alone or I'll get kier starmer on you
I dont answer questions
How do you think that would go?
I was pulled over by the UK police doing a Christmas drink & drive crack down, the young officer asked if I knew why they had stopped me, my reply was, you’ve pulled me over but you don’t know why ?, oh I know why said the officer, so I said, well why are you asking me. I’m guessing because I was in work clothes and there was no smell of alcohol his sergeant gestured to him to let me leave.
I've been in this position when asked why do you think I've pulled you over I replied because you've got my TV back when I was burgled 5 years ago it's so rewarding to be awkward
I was pulled over once while really stressed and arguing with my passenger... Copper - Do you know why I pulled you over? Me - I dunno, was I driving like a twat? At which point the copper just chuckled and said, "yeah pretty much, you took that bend back there a bit fast - you're obviously having a bad day but just calm it down all right?" And with that he let me on my merry way...
Best response to "how fast do you think you were going?" Is "slightly under"
haha, I like it
The majority of the time the police have already decided whether they are going to give you a ticket or not before they approach you, and there is NOTHING you can say that will change their mind, what they are looking for is for you to make it easy for them, One of the best answers is “well I was expecting you to tell me that officer”
Nowadays the police are jam packed full of ego driven sociopaths. They are desperate to recruit just to 'fill uniforms'. Sometimes no face to face interviews or background checks, leading to unsuitable candidates. This is why people have lost confidence in the police and have no respect for them. You have no obligation to assist them in their investigation apart from name and address. Say nothing more !
Can you legally smoke in your car? Can you legally fart in your car? Look out, Starmer's Thought Police are watching you.
Better still, I don't answer questions
how do you think that would go down though?
Do what I say? “You’re selling tickets to the policemen’s ball”. ………”You’re lost & looking for directions”. ……”you seen me? You fancy me? You want my phone number?”.
😂😂😂
Dunno I’m pissed
😂😂
lol, pissed as in angry or pissed as in drunk?
@@LegalLoopholes pissed drunk obviously, I’m driving .. ?
What is your name? Have you got some ID? Why have you stopped me?
That seems completely fair, but how do you think they would react?
Yes, you’ve used section 163 of the road traffic act officer.
I mean that's technically correct, do you think you would actually say that though?
@@LegalLoopholes probably not.
Recently it has been been ruled unconstitutional in these United States for the police to ask you that question as it violates the 5th Amendment on self-incrimination.
Shame it's not like that in the UK
