This route is fictional but is based off the old California Southern Railroad that ran from Barstow to National City passing through Victorville, Cajon, San Bernardino, Colton, Riverside, Perris, Elsinore, Temecula, Fallbrook, Oceanside and San Diego. Hello, there! This is one amazing map, but I must clarify that you're missing a few potential steps when operating the excursion train. When the train departs Pinacate, it actually moves in reverse and crosses Mapes Rd. After this, the train then proceeds forward, passes by Pinacate, and goes through the mainline. Once stopped before 7th Street, the train then goes in reverse and then stops at Pinacate, ending the trip. I have no idea if this is the route EVERY excursion adheres to, but this is based off of a video featuring Ventura County 2 before its 1472-day inspection. Keep up the great work! -Tetsu
