Called jeff for the discount thanx man ;) just started the hobby again after a few years, your video makes me wanne upload videos again , even the fails can be a usefull lesson , indeed we have to share more..thanx for the tip about the multi-wire gonna mess around with that soon.. maybe mix different wires together in a trifilar setup (copper, aluminium, magnesium ribbon, etc) cheers

putting a capacitor in series with the secondary coil creates a RC resonant circuit, and the capacitor will change that frequency based on its capacitance and speed of charge and discharge. It would be helpful if you could list all the components you are using in the description of the video - specify the coil length, type of coil, number of turns, type of wire used, type of capacitors used with stats, type of resistors used etc…

I also used 14 awg wire for my primary coil because of mtech's pdf build guide... I noticed actually a few mismatches between his schematics and what shows us in his videos. Every time when he comes with a new upgrade the schematic what he provides is different than what can be seen in the video. Fishy guy...

Before you think about selling them . Design a prototype board to determine the cost of the material . Another option could be a variable resistor on the base to dim the light . Good luck .

Hey Joe, the video you saw of mine is when I was starting to play with the Ringer and that coil you saw was wrong, I was not using the multi-stranded wires yet. So that video was the BEGINNINGS of it and yet it shows a lot of power indeed.
I have the same L-C-R meter, it really helps to dial things in and see how different coils react together. I did note you're sliding that untaped ferrite core roughly into the coil. That ferrite will scratch the enamel off the mag wire. Some Kapton tape on the core will protect both the ferrite core and the wire.
Put a capacitor and a bridge rectifier and you will be very happy.

Nice, the small coil replica you’ve made of my coil was designed for my radiant circuit, the frequencies were finely tuned by coil length and this locks them into a small range of applicable frequencies, MTech’s Lasersaber replication doesn’t produce as large a field as my circuit does, I do notice an increase if earthed but again my coils are for higher frequencies. Might I suggest an Avramenko plug and an LED to examine the fields a little closer.
I hope you bought cheap meters . I fried 2 good old meters disconnecting the load with the circuit powered . So i feel your pain .
