I wonder what strategies China has thought up to bridge the technical gap to the west. Because their deficit in semiconductor technology does not just mean a processing deficit but a strategic one as well. Both China and the United states have had time to acclimate to a fully networked and high tech battle space. But a fully integrated battle space allows for new and critical opportunities that scale very well with better technologies and data management. China isn't just behind in processing power, but battlefield strategies, understanding, and capabilities. Stealth planes tend to have major aerodynamic advantages fully loaded. A Viper may be a lot better at BFM in a clean configuration than and F-35, but it's a different story when they both have 6AAMs.

I wonder where the F-15EX fits into the technological capability, is it analogous to the block 2 or 3, or does it have systems in common with Block 4. The multi track IRST is really a thing that keeps the Gen 4.5+ airframes viable in contested air space on day 1. As well as the EW suite obviously. Man, these are interesting times that we can scratch the surface on what capabilities this technology allows us to have.

From the front it reminds me of a rounded off Mig-31 from the Clint Eastwood movie Firefox, the droopie wing tips especially.
