Going to Town on my Voge 300 Rally
When I needed to get to London, what with no emissions or congestion charges due and parking just £1 for 24rs: there was only one tool for the job!

PLEASE DON'T COPY ME AND MESS ABOUT WITHOUT BOOTS. I'm waiting on my new boots to arrive or else I would have been wearing full MX boots for this. It's great fun and dead simple to do. Just throw a length of 4x2 on the ground and get cracking! If you get cross-axled either side of the beam it's great rut practice too. You could peg it down to begin with but I like the fact it can move and flip ...

At least half the role the Voge has to fulfil for me is taking me on mini ADVentures! I love loading it up and letting it take me places. Today I scored a PB Bass on a trip I wouldn't, indeed couldn't have made in time with the car!

Couldn't bare to see the mismatched tyres any longer! Fitted a 120/90/18 Michelin Tracker an look forward to trying it off road this weekend. Made sure I only used tools I had in my Tool Tube as practice for out on the trails. *Not a mechanic so don't copy my dodgy methods.

After a recent comment saying I never talked about the bike in the last video, I thought I would discuss my thoughts about my Voge Rally 300 after 1600 miles. (I’m not a bike journalist or professional reviewer just a hobby rider with a GoPro 🤣) I’m sure there’s lots I didn’t mention. Please comment below with any further questions.

VOGE 300 Rally on the UK TET. Riding the Trans Euro Trail (Great Southern Trail) on my new bike.
Hi what modification did you have to do to fit front sprocket picking mine up at weekend y have ordered the 15 tooth sprocket
are you still riding the voge?
Yep 👍🏻 was out on the tet last week with a t7
@VogeRallyADV awesome. I wouldn't mind going out for a ride with you at some point? I'm getting ready for a race in January and I will be using my Voge gy 300 rally.
Hi VRA. Really enjoyed the vid. This might be silly question so sorry in advance but where do you fined maps and navigation for the TET UK
Google trans Euro trail and you can download all the Gpx files. They like you to do so each time so you are aware of fresh changes.
Can you do a video of any mods youve done and where you got them or if theres anything you plan/want to do
Yes will do mate! Been busy lately but hoping to do a few vids again 👍🏻
Late to the party, what tyres where you using on this ride? Looking at trackers but generally have to do 2 hrs to hit anything decent. Wondering wether to stick with timsun for on road grip or to go for the off road performance
Trackers. No problem on the road at 70mph at 15psi. Lasted 3000 miles now. They are noisy though.
Why is there music in every video ? u dont like raw engine sound ? omg
Cus I’m a frustrated DJ? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Looks a good ride👍, But PLEASE loose the music it's not appropriate.
I’m not sure how that’s true…. I enjoyed the video I made inc the soundtrack so it was appropriate for me. That said- I now know more people just want to hear bikes Braaaaaping 🤣
That tube tool storage looks great. What is it?
Thanks. Google “tractor tool tube” or “motorcycle tool tube” 👌🏻 Mine’s the larger size.
Inner tube 120/90r18?
Just kept the original tube to be honest 🤣
music 👎 . sound of bike 👍 .
🤣🤣🤣 fair one
Nice bike. Long range, agile, easy on knees, but how comfy is the seat on a long day in the saddle? Cheers, Günter/Nürnberg (went for a used Honda CRF 300 L, though)
Hi Günter. Yeah, it's really good thanks. Have done 12 hour days no bother. Although I do have a padded backside 🤣
@@VogeRallyADV Fantastic. Underrated bike. Günetr/Nürnberg
Good on you buddy 👍👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
Hi there, thank you for the videos they are great! Have you got any guidance on how to extract parts of thw TET to add it to a GPS device to ride it. Thanks for all your help. John.
That’s kind thanks. When I get a sec I’ll make a video. I use Garmin base maps on my laptop initially and then use that to put the Gpx onto GuruMaps 👍🏻
@@VogeRallyADV thank you very much, that would be superb, as I'm sure some people are like me and not the most tech savvy. Thank you again, I'll look forward to more videos. Cheers, John
I really wanted to enjoy this video but why do people insist on drum beat and music playing while they are talking...Its like having to listen to music being held on a phone call. This ticking drum beat was like a dripping tap😟
Because I like it and it’s my video 🤣🤣 Choosing and editing the music is half the fun. Also- the levels sound different on different devices. It’s not at all intrusive on my laptop after editing but does sound much louder on the TV. Ah go on, enjoy it after all, there’s nothing stopping you 🙌 😉 Thanks for watching 😀
Hi there, I tried this bike a couple of weeks ago. I found it to be very disappointing. The way the engine and gearbox work together I found appallingly bad. The engine has almost no torque and to compensate the manufacturer has installed a close ratio gearbox which means 65 kph equates to 6000rpm in 6th gear. Not for me ...
Strange. The gearbox is optimised for off road use where it excels but an added tooth to the front sprocket (£8 upgrade) sorted that out and made it much more flexible. I’m not sure what you expect from a 28hp, 165kg machine? As for torque- even with the higher gearing, it tractors up hills with virtually no throttle, even with my 100kg geared up weight on board. I’m on 3600 miles now and it’s still putting a smile on my face. Mud plugging, green laning, long days on the TET, sunny afternoons trips to the beach down the back lanes and even filtering through traffic are all mincemeat to these bikes. Even motorways aren’t annoying with the higher gearing. I’ve found the holy grail of bikes I was looking for my entire life (tried all kids of adv bikes) with this machine. And the fact it’s £3750 is a bonus!
@@VogeRallyADV "I’m not sure what you expect from a 28hp, 165kg machine? " - my answer is I was expecting better than my current 24hp, 199kg machine. I understand that I could change the front socket but 1. I think I would need to up it 2 teeth & 2. the purpose of a test ride is to see if it meets your needs and in this case it didn't. I couldn't buy it (even though I was hot to do so) on a promise of a modification solving issues.
I don’t know what your needs are but I don’t recognise your characterisation. Especially if the 24hp, 199kg bike is a Himalayan? Even on stock gearing, Nathan the postman shows how it’s more than capable of a 2000 mile road biased adventure with luggage. That said- I’m not on commission so I don’t really mind what you think of it 🤣👌🏻 I’ll be out on Salisbury Plain with a mate on a crf300l tomorrow. Looking at about 100 miles of road and 50 miles of trail and I know for sure I won’t miss my Himmy for one minute.
Good drill is too at least wear a helmet.... it's all fun till it isn't. Do like these bikes though, very capable and well priced
I think in order of risk it would go boots, gloves, armour and helmet for these. Annoyingly my MX boots had a massive tear in the side so am waiting for some Sidi X power’s to arrive 👌🏻 Cheers for watching 😀
Good training. New season is starting. Get ready for the weekend, Günter/Nürnberg
Thanks! Can’t wait to get going. Went out two weeks ago with a friend on a CRF300l. Made me appreciate the Voge 🤣👌🏻
@@VogeRallyADVIs the Honda that bad?
No, it was good but not +£2000 good 😀
@@VogeRallyADV Yes, that Honda is quite pricey for having to buy a new suspension on top. Wish I had sections of TET UK or Wales over here, it's more open gravel lanes in Bavaria (single lanes strictly not allowed). Cheers, Günter/Nürnberg
Thx. Nice review…..one question: what kind of tyres did install? Couldn‘t really understand it…Cheers from Germany Rainer
Thanks. Now have Michelin Trackers front and rear.
@@VogeRallyADV Thx for your quick response. Which dimension did you use especially for the Inch rear tyre? Rainer
90/90r21 and 120/80r18 @@rj6933
Nice ride and cool video. Thx for letting us join the tour. Question: what kind of tyres have you installed? Dosen‘t look like the std DimSum….. Cheers from Berlin! Rainer
Michelin Trackers. Thanks for watching 😀
ok tet disco
🎧
Didn't you change to a larger front sprocket ? & the front won't come up easily ?? It's physics man. You can't have it both ways !! Good video
I think there’s still more than enough torque. It’s just the suspension is WAAAAAAY better at keeping the tyre in contact with the ground 😀
Just ordered my voge rally for the 1st of march.... happy days...see you out and about...
Perfect! Keep in touch 😀
Looks like great fun. What tires did you use?
Got some Michelin trackers now 👌🏻
I know exactly how you feel when reversing. The satnav is either too far out or too far zoomed in ;-) Love those British green lanes, in September again (TET Wales). Cheerio, Günter/Nürnberg
I'm interested...what are your local trails... around your area.
I’m Newbury so lots to choose from. Ridgeway in the summer, Salisbury Plain, Cotswolds, even south wales not far, South Downs 👌🏻
I understand that carnaby scooters is now selling these in thatcham.
Oh wow! I’ll check it out thanks.
I can't wait to get mine and do some trail riding. What dealership did you buy yours from... I'm in Oxfordshire.(Didcot)
I got mine from motorcycles4all 👌🏻
It's going to be interesting how far the services can be stretched out.. Top end .. I'll do oil pre 3k if not sooner.
Yeah I did mine at 300 and 3500. Got an air filter and fuel filter whilst I was at it. Not worrying about the valves for a bit.
Hi, I'm thinking of buying a voge in Newbury... where did you do you m/x lesson?. I need to look into T.R.F.
www.leedunhamracing.com
Thanks for your video! Do you have any updates on the Rally? How is it holding up so far?
Thanks for watching 👌🏻 It’s up to 3500 miles now. Sadly work and weather has meant I haven’t ridden for a couple of months. I’ve just done an oil and filter change and it’s still running as sweet as a nut. Once the trails dry out so I can ride without causing too much damage, I’ll get out for an update 👌🏻
@@VogeRallyADV Thanks for the update!
Random places. And green lanes. That's what I love about TET UK. Next summer Wales again! And maybe bits 'round Salisbury Plain. Happy days, Günter/Nürnberg
Those green lanes in the UK are amazing. Looking forward to ride them again next September with my Beta Alp 200, Salisbury Plain and Wales. But your region also looks like a lot of fun. Cheerio, Günter/Nürnberg PS: Horses are frightful creatures, you never know what they're doing next. Although your engine is off. What a moment for you, rider and horse.
Thanks for your comments 😀 Yes, the lady on the horse was actually very friendly and couldn’t understand why her horse was being so difficult, as it sees lots of trail bikes. Fair play to her- she persisted and it eventually walked past me and we all carried on our respective rides. Cheers for now, Andrew 😀
@@VogeRallyADV Good that you had your GoPro working, Andrew, the fright of the horse is an amazing sight. I always switch of the engine and stop. Wait to see what the rider suggests, mostly adolescent girls. Best strategy is to avoid horses - turn left or right if the track allows to do that ;-) Happy days, Günter/Nürnberg
I wish we had more green lanes in Germany. Next summer TET Wales again for me on a Beta Alp 200! Happy days, Günter/Nürnberg
Yeah! We have some great locations. Hoping to get further north into Wales and south into Devon/Cornwall in the spring 👌🏻
@@VogeRallyADV Good luck. May the winter soon go away. Will ride my old Transalp tomorrow. Günter/Nürnberg
Never done that part of the Welsh TET. Only Tetty trail and Midwales this September. Maybe 2024 new exciting trails, Wales is gorgeous. My Beta Alp 200 is about 50 kgs lighter (horray) and 15 hp weaker (omph) than your Voge. Thanks for taking us onboard, Günter/Nürnberg
One tooth more - I understand that change for roads/motorways. But how good is your 15 t sprocket on the TET in very slow, difficult, technical sections? Another question: Would you consider revalving your suspension after a season? They have to make cuts somewhere even in China ;-) Thanks, Günter/Nürnberg
I have just started to find the limit of the 15t on harder trails. But because I haven’t needed to modify the chain etc, it’s simple to swap back should I need to. (Could probably do it in a hotel car park on a longer trip for example 🏨 🔧 ⚙️ ) No- I think the suspension is perfect at the minute. I think Voge realised it is no more expensive to make budget firmer suspension than it is to make budget soft suspension 😉 Thanks for watching, kind regards Andrew
@@VogeRallyADV Thanks, Andrew. That sound good. I can ride around some problems on any bike. I'm thinking of a much lighter bike than my old Transalp 600, but would love to be able to do 80 mph for a days of riding with luggage without stressing the engine. There is not much in the middle at the moment. Yes, I know the KTM family and it reliability ;-) For TET UK/Wales I have my Beta Alp 200 with 15 hp and 105 kg road-legal, but a very softish trail suspension. Not good for doing distances. Which is great on the Transalp. Did ACT Pyrenees on it last year, ACT Romania this year. Didn't fall a single time ;-) All the best, Günter/Nürnberg
so pleased there was a Himmy there, well done brother 🙃
Beat me up that first hill too 🤔🤣🤣
Secondo te, voglio sentire i giri del motore o sta musica di mxxxa?
No idea. I enjoy picking and editing the music so that’s what I do 😀
Enjoyed the video. How's the reliability holding up? Im seriously tempted!
Great so far! Work and life have been in the way for a few weeks so she’s stuck on 3500 miles but still going strong 💪🏻
@VogeRallyADV . Thanks for letting me know. Off to St Junien (Limoges) on Wednesday for a test ride. I looked at the crf300l but, you can't get a test ride, and they don't do the crf rally in france. Plus, it's another 2.5k euros!
nice videos. thought about one to buy, but was unsure if it could handle "harder terrain" your vids showed that it is ok enough for my thoughts, so i will buy one of this beautys:) one question: is the exaust hot, or can i get a normal bag on it insteat of aluminium chests?
Thank you. That’s a good question! There is a plastic heat shield that keeps most of the warmth away. A friend runs soft bags with no trouble.
Ok, so i thing my kriega should be allright with this.thank you🥰
What a beautifull country. I wish I could visit it sometime in future
Thank you! Where are you from?
Hi, was the front a 90/90/21? How have you been getting on with them? Thanks
Yeah good thanks. They are noisy but the off road performance is worth it. Yep! 90/90/21 👍🏻

@bambam3360 how's your motorcycle mate?
@@Dima-dc5mf really enjoying it, just had its first service so now I can open it up and see what it can really do. Hope to do some of TET this year. If you know of any TET trails or green lanes in the North west give us a shout. Many thanks
Hi my Voge coming next Saturday hoping to do some of the TET looks like you had great fun. Can I ask where and what tool tube you have on your bike. Keep the videos coming as your probably the reason I have just PX’d my himalayan scram. Thanks
Oldbones Motorcycle Off-Road Waterproof Tool Tube Gloves Raincoat Storage Box Cap Holder Tool Repair Box Document Holder with Anti-theft lock Ring Big 110MM amzn.eu/d/62GGJBu That’s super kind thanks! It’s a great bike. This is the tube I bought. It’s slightly larger than some of the others but fits levers, spanner’s, pump and other tools.
btw - momentum is best, i appreciate if/when you're a noob it is scary but you are far more likely to succeed and also far less likely to fall , momentum offers grip too - when new to off road in order to make the speed seem less you simply look at 20-25-30 metres away (trail depending) and scan back to 5-10 metres and repeat in reverse on loop, your eyes see all whether you register it or not it is locked in, watching the area near your wheel (or 5-10 metres away) in a static view is a route to failure as you are missing your chance to figure obstacles before you get there
That's super helpful thank you!
well done lad, the welsh TT is by far the best, keep coming north - riding gets better and better so be sure to pack big boy pants ;-)
🤣🤣 Duly noted! I think even bringing a mate will help. Being stuck under my bike alone in Welsh Farmer territory is a pretty scary thought 😉
How’s that Voge Rally holding up? I’m riding Honda Monkey as of now but thinking of adding Voge Rally
Yeah doing great thanks. Life getting in the way for a couple of weeks after a mad few months on it- but hopefully be out again in October. Just in the process of servicing it at 3500 miles.
Hi cool adventures, just bought a voge great little bike could you tell me where you got the phone mount from cheers
Hi mate. Thanks for watching. It’s a Quadlock. There are dirt cheap copies on Ali but I have the original for peace of mind. It has the vibration damper add on too 👍🏻

Well done, but please get rid of the awful music, and do just your thoughts and the sound of the bike.

what camera do you use, you bossed them lanes mate.
Hero 10 now mate. Lost my hero 8 on Salisbury Plain last week 😭
looks good@@VogeRallyADV
Right handers too early, guess your right handed. Also stay over to left of the corner longer if that makes sense.

All I can say is to try and make the corner either left or right as straight as you can easier said than done, and I am no way telling you how to suck eggs.@@VogeRallyADV
