Jukebox Experiment with Plex, Home Assistant, Self-Hosted Web Server & More
Просмотров 337 месяцев назад
This was fun! I built my own voice- and hand-activated "Jukebox". It plays tunes from my self-hosted mp3/flac library, interspersed with streaming tunes and seamlessly works with my stereo system easily. Uses Plex, Tidal, Home Assistant, a self-hosted web server with custom PHP scripts and a Raspberry Pi. Did I say this was fun? Oh, and it was alot of fun :)
May The Port Be With You, too.

Home Movie: Ogburn Station, NC and highlights of 1959 Virginia 500 at Martinsville Speedway, May 3, 1959. One of the things I have occupied my time with during retirement and Covid-19 is making digital transfers of the thousands and thousands of feet of 8mm film from my father’s collection. Here’s some footage that may hold some interest for some you. The first 30 seconds is from Ogburn Station...

Keith, I don't know how it took me 3 years to find this post. I had that cassette, once upon a time, or maybe a different one(?) because I recall a red cover.

I own the footage, but I did not shoot it. The person who shot it is deceased. Note that it's of Old Dominion 9/27/59 and not VA 500. I was close :) AFAIC, use the footage. Let me know the link when you complete it. Thanks.

Holy crap, I’ve looked for this for 30 years! Wow! My cassette got worn out waaay back… The first song “Kissing The Thin Air” is SOP’s best tune and they don’t play it. As a freshman that year, Light In August was absolutely my favorite local band, this doesn’t quite capture their flat-out brilliance, but I am so stoked you posted this!!! Thanks a million!

Jesus Christ Saves Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is returning very soon, and is the reason for all of the things that are happening on the Earth right now. This planet is on borrowed time. Jesus Christ died on a cross, was buried in a tomb, and rose from the dead 3 days later, to pay for the sins of mankind, to justify us to God and to give us eternal life and forgiveness from God. EXACTLY how to be Saved by Jesus Christ, the Son of God: 1. Confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord. 2. Believe in your heart that God has raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Biblical References: 1. Romans 5:9 2. Romans 3:23 3. Romans 6:23 4. Romans 10:9 5. Romans 10:13 6. Ephesians 2: 8 & 9 7. John 3:16 God bless you, peace be with you always. Thank you for your time.

We had similar on Kellogg’s cereals in the UK for a while. Basically just a flexidisc glued onto the cardboard packet which you had to cut out with scissors and punch a hole in the middle. They were 33rpm too, and sounded fine. I’ve still got a couple somewhere.
