catchy 1970 Army radio jingle
Просмотров 4768 лет назад
Recorded from early New York FM radio in 1970 while testing out my new Panasonic stereo AM-FM cassette recorder; kept it cause it's catchy. Backed by my West Point campus photo of The Cadet Honor Code - at this time that area is off limits to the public. "A cadet will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do." Unless they're in office.
Johnny Cash sings for Pepsi-Cola radio ad "You've Got a Lot to Live, and Pepsi's Got a Lot to Give"
Просмотров 2,6 тыс.8 лет назад
Maybe this 1970 radio ad was cut from the Pepsi ad mentioned in Johnny's TV show. Johnny also sang for Coca-Cola! This was my very first FM stereo cassette recording, and one of the first things I wanted to post on RUclips. My apologies to drbpony, who posted his version ("rare") while I delayed, but my heart's been really into posting this for years. Alas, when recording I fiddled with the rec...

This was a golden age on planet earth ❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤Who's "NOT" dancin' here??? Wooohoooo! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
back when THE TOP 2% actually wanted to hang and play games with the OTHER 98!!! edit: at 4:27 the gentlemen give hostess as his clue, which is part of the root word host...so dr. goodman was prolly trying to shoot the rulebreaker rather than himself. just saying... why didn't sir alan (our host) catch that one?
What a beautiful lady! 10/24
OMG I freaking love Gregory he is my lawyer and not only the best lawyer but without a doubt a character one of the greatest people I've ever met in my life and this is hilarious
Strange. You feel like you're rockin harder than Guns and Roses and Zeppelin.
Larietta: Hey what'd you hit me for? Moereen: Cause I can't reach her.
She could flat out sing, plus she was pretty easy on the eyes.
I miss them.
Whooooo happy Saturdays yall ❤️🖤❤️🖤
Sherri had one hell of a body and skin tone damn!
RIP Nova Scotia.
😃Love Peter Falk!!
❤❤❤❤❤live n loving It.
God their music makes me so happy to be Canadian
If you aren’t snapping fingers and tapping toes at the very least….you’re in a coma. Saw them live three times…. the most entertaining shows ever and yes, everybody was up dancing in the seats. The purest voices, fantastic harmony. 👏👏👏 I think I have to go and put their CDs on.🕺💃🎻🎸🎹🎶 They have provided hours and hours of delightful music for me.
I love how her stud puppets totally break character because she's so hilarious!
This song always picks me up if I'm feeling down!
Sherri was seriously 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
This song was sung at a Celebration of Life I attended today for a wonderful Christian woman who passed from cancer. Had not heard this song in years, but always appreciate hearing it again.
This is the most beautiful thing In the universe
Love The Rankin Family, this was the first of their songs I'd ever heard. if it wasn't for CMT Europe I don't think I'd have known they ever existed.
I’m crying!!! That was great!
Of ALL the celebrities in any media, Peter Falk is probably the one I would love to have known personally! Anytime I view a clip of him in an interview or as a guest on a talk show, he comes across as a genuinely good guy - the kind of guy rarely seen these days in the entertainment industry!
He loved playing Columbo. From all accounts, that character was the most like him in real life.
I still think that Nanci was the best live performer ever!❤
Great Music
I watch this several times a year!
I was so sad when they retired. I was in my 30’s when I first saw them on tv and I’m 87 now. It’s good to hear the group again.
Pure love 🧡🧡🧡❤️💫♾🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
I think this song would have at least been as big as "You Really Had Me Going" and that was a Number 1 record. Man, I loved this song. I expected it to be her first or second single off of the "Getting It Dunn" album.
I wanna marry that lady 🧡🧡🧡🧡♾♾♾💫💫💫♾♾🧡🧡🧡
And I’m a rat
I started watching Columbo again , ,,.you don’t want this guy suspicious of you for doing wrong ,,.Love it
That laughter is so healing beautiful
Laughter is the best medicine
That was a very confusing period in history. No one really knew where things were heading and soon came Nirvana along and depraved got a new meaning.
On a Judy kick and this is amazing. I actually have one of her accordions. She had performed at a drag restaurant i worked at, and left it as a gift. It used to be on a shelf over the bar. When the restaurant closed for good, i said all i want is Judy's accordion and was able to take it. Prized posession!
The future MRS BRADY!!!!
Loved her!
This kind of radio anticipated Twitter by years! It was great to be able to hear people talk like this about difficult subjects without killing each other. What kind of radio is like this now?
Thanks for this upload. I used to have this episode and two others on tape from when she was on Austin City Limits. Incidentally this song did make it to Number 1 on either Radio and Records of the Gavin report. Possibly both. Just missed out on Billboard. I still love her very much. I loved Lari White even more. Both were treated very badly by the industry which broke my heart. They were just two unbelievable talents and should have been much bigger Stars than they were.
This terrific song which again Holly Co-wrote was awesome. She had been performing it for some time live and it would have been the perfect first single from the still upcoming "Getting It Dunn" CD which she spent two years producing. Ralph Emory loved it when she sang it on Nashville Now too. I fully expected it to be the second single after the ill -fated non video "No Love Have I" cover record got very few Radio adds. I was certain this song would, ultimately it never saw a release whatsoever. If they had put out a video and this been the first single that CD was spectacular, and it could have propelled her to Mega Star status. As it was Warner's barely marketed it, only produced one video, and basically let everything fall through the cracks. Really ticked me off. Fans have no idea what they missed out on.
The official video is not on RUclips. I wonder why. All her other ones are. Maybe because she's walking around in mens underwear and some snowflake complained?
Favorite song ever ❤
That was cute!
Those girls, on stage, are The Cat's Ass...... Some Kind Of Wonderful.
I loved Holly Dunn, so sad she passed away at such an early age. R.I.P Holly you left your mark on this world forever.
Fucking great!!!!!!!!!! He even had great material. Fantastic.
Judy was one of the funniest women ever to grace a stage. Right up there with Phylis Diller.
I can completely hear Judy Jetson every time she speaks!
