Yeah, it's definitely a high risk, high reward type spell. it can be absolutely amazing when it works, instantly killing even the strongest normal enemies in the game, but if it misses (which is does often) you not only waste your MP for nothing, but completely waste your turn. Desoul has actually come in clutch and saved my character's lives several times throughout the years, but it's low percentage of actually working is so unreliable it's ultimately not worth it.

Is it a consumable? Been afraid to use it.

@@AlexIsgAEming u can use it to boost attack power ,when text show cracked or something ,you need to repair it for 750g in armorsmith ,or you can put it in deposit of caravan and when you take it out is repaired. But its cheat :D

You should save it before using it to get the highest amount fairy powder give 20 mp in fight . Bright honey increase mana points by 2-4. Secret book is for kazin promotion ,u prolly can sell it know

desoul is 37 percent chance to kill instant ,so basicaly every third character you supposed to kill instantly :D

@@AlexIsgAEming More specifically, the running pimento is a consumable item that permanently raises a character max movement range when used on them. So it's best to use it on a character you think needs more movement. The power ring is an equippable item that raises the equipped character's attack power. Used in battle as an item (you can use it while equipped), it casts the Attack 1 spell, which gives a character a temporary attack power boost that drops off every turn until it goes back to normal. When using equipment as an item, there is a percent chance that the item will "crack" and become damaged. if you use the item while it's cracked, it'll be destroyed and you lose it forever. As Norrec said, you can repair cracked items at item/weapon shops.

Hey man. First thing i wanna to apologize ,,cause its true that you can use different tactis ans strategy ,i only told you mine ,because i play this game multiple times .But its up to you :D :D. That clik ,yeah i mean that only in battle u can use you B joypad to look around map with enemies. I didnt know you are new in this game and sometime i dont know how to comment :D. If you have warrior pride , you can promote JAHA. And my strategy make my way easier because ,in the end after all promotion all of characters will have long movement. Also you can promoto Sir Butt . I didnt promote SaRAH entire game, because you get later better healer. Her name is KARNA and you will have her after 6 more battles maybe and you need promote her with the item calls VIGOR BALL ,also sarah can be promoted with this but my tip was only keep it to that healer. This is a spoiler a little ,but she can trippled level of all characters if you play her good :D /not sarah/ The other with name KARNA higly recomended that. And Slade need sword :D . And once again sorry i dont wanna push you with my strategy ,its really up to you ,but keep PETER AND GERALT :D

He should be fine with Kazin, since there's another character he can use the promotion item on, so it's all good. Blaze 4 and Desoul are good spells, so it's not like he missed out on something objectively better. Far as I know, the only "objectively better" special promotion is for priests. The rest are just a matter of preference since both promotions have pros and cons.

@Arthurmagicknight the problem with keeping Kazin a wizard is that end game enemies have blaze resistance and desoul misses way too often. IMO the only promotional item that isn't superior is the silver tank.

@@KOdenwalder Well, even with the blaze resistance Blaze 4 still does a ton of damage. Either way, he also doesn't have to use Kazin for the whole game. All the special promotions have different stat growths, so they're not better so much as just different from the norm. Some also have different movement range or types, but suffer in other areas. you can play with any combination of characters and still do just fine though. It's not as if characters absolutely have to go one path or your team has to have only specific characters to beat the game.

@Arthurmagicknight Blaze 4 won't do as much as Freeze 4 with the other guy, which also has that extra range. Kazin also learns the new spells quicker than the other guy and will have more spells learned than the girl when she joins. Kazin is best as the other class. But hey everyone plays differently and the game is fun no matter what

Why don't promote Chester? If it's for the promotional item I think I read that there's a system glitch that gives him -5 defense. Either way, that item comes way too late in the game to hold off on Chester and Alex isn't going to find the item without a guide. Unless you just want Chester to be beefed up so he's not the first one dropped lol

Oh man I remember beating this but 100% do not remember a pitchfork. I'm having a lot of fun revisiting these old games and marvel at just how vague everything is. Playground knowledge was a key ingredient to sucess.

Sorry if you want more direct answers. Unless you specifically say you want to know exactly where to go or what to do, I just don't like spoiling things for others when they're trying so hard to figure it out. Nice! I had a lot of favorite cartoons, but I was always more of a GI Joe guy than a Transformers guy. Recently watched the old opening and analyzed it from a music theory perspective, 'cuz I'm a big nerd like that. I've never seen Bebop [yeah, I know], but I was this {} close to buying a Vash the Stampede coat from Hot Topic back in the day. I really dig Ghost in the Shell - might be overdue for a rewatch there.
