I haven't played SF1, but I assume it's much easier than this one was hahaha

I sorta felt that way too, like any character is viable in any circumstance, even if they're not "great". I really love having the ranged attackers with May, Rhode, and Luigi. I mentioned this before, but it makes me want to play a Total War game on the channel, just because of the strategy involved [though I'd probably embarrass myself lol] That's a very good tip about the Angel Wing. I kinda forget it exists, but that's definitely something I need to keep in mind. I really want to try out his Mega Bolt.

Obviously I'm not gonna Deny Luigi his ultimate weapon. Otherwise, he won't be able to Defend. I'll just have to make sure he's not Deposed.

It does really feel like NOT having a second healer makes a definite win battle into a coin flip at this point in the game.

Rhode is close to getting cut but May and Luigi are killing it out there! And I am enjoying it for sure. Don't like when the game gers vague about what's next, but overall I'm having a very good time. Who do you bench?

@AlexIsgAEming I never use any of the pre-promoted guys, but have to REALLY fight the temptation to powerlevel since that makes the OGs so OP in comparison. Only May for ranged, and Jaha is actually one of my main guys especially as a baron. But I do want to do a run once where I only promote ASAP, as I heard that 2 of the last guys you get who I always ignore are actually good in a "normal" playthrough

Well I'm not impressed with Rick, that's for sure. I might put Jaha back in but with his lack of speed and movement, I'd rather a ranged attacker

@AlexIsgAEming yeah, at least Baron Jaha has 6 move not 5 but his low AGI is annoying. It's great that there is such a diverse range of units that you can fit virtually any play style. I'd love a modern remaster of this and the first game. Tactics Ogre Reborn level

I think if I did a turn 1 Boost on Jaha with Karna it might help, but that limits Karna too much. Never played Tactics Ogre. Always heard it was tough to get in to.

I remember seeing a few things about Shredder's Revenge but haven't tried it. If I knew a good way to do multi-voice recording, it could be a fun collaborative thing to do with a few people. Probably have to record Discord voice chat and try to sync it or something. Haven't really thought about it.

@@AlexIsgAEming Shredder's Revenge is fantastic if you like these types of games. It's a very worthy TMNT beat'em up, and a great game in the genre in general.

I definitely would have kept going but I had a real life commitment that prevented it. Having to totally redo the stage after dying to the boss also made me think it wouldn't be great content. I don't think I ever played Hyperstone Heist, though I remember the title. Maybe I should do a TMNT games month

Oh yeah, ive also never seen Sir Butt get scolded for not bringing the dynamite lol But in the beginning of the game that guy was asking if you had any sulfur. Then when you moved towns he mentions he's working on a new invention. If you went to him before getting Astral he would have said it's too dangerous for you and you'd be blown up

@@AlexIsgAEming its just npc and use boost all the time ,its giving 5 experien for one character boost.. But careful ,if somebody is boosted ,it wont take effect and its a lose of MP.

secret book was for kazin promotion or tyrin in creed mansion ,you can sell it now . Sorry we werent fast enough to tell you. The secon vigor ball is in the end of the game ,so its up to you. you can promote her ,but she get masculine features :D. But promotion make more heals .and spoiler alert ,she is the one who has area healing :D

@@AlexIsgAEming sorry i comment after hearing your thoughts in video ,but fairy tear heal mana in battle. Karna can use aura even withot promotion. You can try not promoting her to the end ,lets see how strong she is without mastermonking :D Bright honey increas permanent mana from 2-4 points. Good for slade,but actually every mana user can use it. and you are right that javelin is for chester ,but wait one more battle :D

Thank you for saying that! That's really great to read. I might do another SF but what I learned playing Donkey Kong Country was that a little gap between games helps me enjoy it more. My plan is to put up a poll when I'm closer to finishing SF2 with a couple of options for the next retro RPG and see what people prefer, like Secret of Mana, Shadowrun SNES, Breath of Fire, and one of the Phantasy Star games, though I wasn't sure which (appreciate the 4 recommendation). As for SF3, as far as I'm aware that was a Saturn exclusive, and sadly I sold my Saturn many years ago (I loved Herc's Adventures and Dragon Force the most, but had Magic Knight Rayearth and a bunch of other things way back when), and I'm not sure how to go about playing SF3 at this point.

@@AlexIsgAEming Ah, are you playing on actual hardware? I just assumed you were using emulation since that's what I lot of people I watch tend to use. If Saturn emulation isn't an option, then that's that. A shame, too, since all three scenarios of Shining Force 3 have translation patches so the entire game is available to play for people who don't understand Japanese, now. I also love Dragon Force. Within my top three favorite games on the Saturn. Oh man, that'd be awesome to watch you play through. Darn.

Nah, it's emulated - I play the games as authentically as possible, ie not abusing save states - but the last I heard Saturn emulation was extremely difficult. Granted I haven't looked into it since selling my Saturn when I had a hankering to play Dragon Force again - talk about instant regrets. If Saturn is able to be cleanly emulated, though...well that's enticing. Very enticing.

@@AlexIsgAEming At the very least, I've had no problems playing through Shining Force, Dragon Force and a bunch of other games with no problems at all. There have been some games that would occasionally crash or black-screen on me in the middle of playing (Dragon Force 2, for example), but they've been few and far between.

Do you agree Elric is not worth keeping around once I have options? Or should I grind him like I did Slade early on?

@AlexIsgAEming i don't often use him, but I do prefer him as his normal promotion of sniper. It's between him and luke, so you're choosing between 3 range attack or flying mobility. After your next round of weapon upgrades, just pick who has the higher attack lol

Luke's kinda butt, so it might be Elric. Yeesh.

Second Vigor Ball, eh? I'll have to keep an eye out, then. I always forget Slade has magic. Just like Sir Butt's magic - I always forget he can attack with it. I appreciate the feedback on DC2! I haven't played it in 20 years so I'm not sure if it holds up or not, but I have tremendous memories of it and I don't think I ever beat it. If I'm able to get it working, it definitely won't be until next year. Gotta wrap up KOTOR and New Vegas before starting anything else, but it's something to put on the back burner!

@@AlexIsgAEming what do you thing about running gerhalt ? jaha has good movement ,secret ,he can also use swords. You just need grind lv 1 more., cause they fall behind :D

It's kinda nice to have Gerhalt and Slade as basically equal in terms of movement and damage. Sorts of covers me if somebody gets double-attacked. But I put the ring on Sarah because I want her to be able to keep up, as well. I was half-tempted to give all the things to Elric just to see if he could be more useful lol

@AlexIsgAEming you Can Keep Chester in that knight mode. Is It only three more fights untill you get item. You Can manage.
