To everyone afraid to get captured: Just get captured by a decent independent band at the start of the game and progressively whittle them down with combat opportunities until you can collect their money from the fight. It levels your character with hardly any downside.

Looks to the grounds so that any arrow fired at him hits the shield on the back, gets close enough to the first and slaughters him, like a flash kills the ones with shield like they are nothing then dodges an arrow right in the archer's face and finishes him.
