In this video, I guide you through the entire process of clearing land in Alaska, focusing on the removal of dry, beetle-killed spruce trees. Watch as I cut down trees with a chainsaw, drag them out of the forest with a rope and truck, and excavate stumps with an excavator. I also demonstrate how to cut the trees into smaller pieces for efficient burning, build the perfect campfire, and ignite wet wood using gasoline-soaked materials like old shirts or towels. You'll see how I refuel the chainsaw, maintain the fire for 20 hours, and clean up branches and wood remnants afterward. Thank you for your feedback! I intentionally laid down a thick layer of gravel to ensure proper coverage. I actually unloaded two full 12-cubic yard loads of gravel here. The road surface is elevated in the center and slopes downward on the sides, so it needed more gravel in the middle, which is why the driver focused on that area. For such a short stretch of road, a thicker layer of gravel is expected. I spread the gravel initially with a rake and later finished the job using a rented Bobcat loader. I was planning to rent the loader anyway to level a large gravel parking lot (see my other videos about it), so the exact spreading method for this section wasn't as critical.

I have relatives that live in Alaska now from Ontario Canada. They must be amazed how much more snow they get. So I’m curious. Does Alaska use road salt and sand like Ontario Canada? I believe beet juice for black ice on the freeway etc. ✌️🇨🇦

Whats the speed limit? To me in the UK ,it seems strange tobe able to pass both sides inside and outside lanes !!
Speed limit on highway is 65 miles per hour, which is105 km/hour. Going up to 10% more is OK if there is no danger for anyone. At the main streets of Anchorage speed limit is 40-45 miles per hour (64-72 km/hour). At residential streets speed limit is 25 miles per hour. While streets are full of snow on the sides which was not taken away yet, the driving lines are moving toward the center, and the automobiles are crossing any line if they think it is safer, and that's a norm. Sometimes there are so much snow on the road that two-line street become one-line.
That machine is a snow blower, not a snow plow.
My family just moved from Cali to Anchorage, we appreciated Anchorage that handle with heavy snow storm really good.

Great compilation! I now my way around Anchorage like the back of my hand, side streets and all. The shot driving down 5th where the landes are drifting and it's like 15 degress , man that made me feel a certian way. Looks almost exactly the same now. October 2022 It would be cool to do all the neighboorhoods/areas Jewel Lake, Hillside, East Side, West Side, Government Hill

Потихоньку улучшаем планету...
Огромный искусственный холм из грязи, заполненный естественным верхним слоем почвы, был создан несколько лет назад после строительства подъездной дороги в отдаленном поместье на Аляске. После очистки земли вокруг холма от мертвых, убитых жуками елей, холм был полностью удален гусеничным погрузчиком Bobcat за два с половиной часа. Вся грязь была расплющена на участке, покрывая низины, пни и растительность тундры. Этот район стал доступен для всех типов транспортных средств и превратился в палаточный лагерь для безопасного разведения костров.
Путешествие на ледник Кник и озеро Джордж на Аляске с 49-м государственным автомобильным туром
Таскать деревья на легком пикапе Toyota Tacoma, перетаскивая их для озеленения в моем лесном владении после того, как я срезал их и очистил от ветвей.
