Ik this is a really long comment but this is why i think teenage dream is one of her best songs and easily one of the most underrated on guts. personally for me, teenage dream is easily the most relatable song on the album. even though it’s obviously about olivia being a teenager in the public eye, i interpret it as the anxiety you feel when your teenage years come to an end. as someone who’s currently realizing that those years are almost over and college is around the corner, i relate to a lot of the lines in the second verse where it’s talking about how serious adult hood will become, how you’re no longer able to make mistakes, your actions having serious consequences, and wishing that you could go back to your teenage years when you were happy as a lot of adults seem to do. a lot the time you tell your parents about how nervous you are to start that time in your life because of all of the parts they’ve constantly complained to you about and you’re always met with “you’ll be fine””you do great””it’s not that bad” or “it gets better” but, your constantly questioning “does it really”. and you start to think the best you had to offer to the world was during your teenage years, which wasn’t much to begin with, and you’ll amount to nothing. so the repeating lines “it gets the better the more you grow, but what if i don’t” really captures the anxiety that comes with that imo, especially how the song build up with tension and then hits a climax with the guitar and drums. i also feel like this song is like a brutal pt.2, besides the facts teenage dream is mentioned in the song, where brutal starts off in the middle of your teenage years, you hate it, and the last thing you want to hear is “enjoy your youth” but teenage dream is like the latter half of those years and you realize that life might only get worse from there and you kind of wish you can stay a teenager. i also think this song is like an end of an era for olivia and most of her audience as she transitions from a teenager to an adult which could be symbolized by her subtle shifts towards red, especially because red/scarlet has been known to symbolize womanhood in past media. if you read all of this tysmmmm😄🩷💜🖤. 😅obviously the song really isn’t this deep but hopefully you gain a diff perspective on the song and see how it can be relatable to someone who’s teenage years are about to end. (edit) also to elaborate on the anxiety part abt amounting to nothing, i mean it in the sense of watching your mom go on facebook and she sees that a lot of her friends let them selves go, are working a lifeless 9-5 job to pay off their student loans, or are stressed out with a lot of kids in a lifeless marriage. you start to think that if you choose the wrong major or do something wrong, you’re life with end up like theirs because your parents can’t save you from the harsh realities of life anymore. this feeling especially sucks when you were told “you’ll do great things in life” or are trying to chase your dream job and it’s kinda risky. ok im done now tyyy for coming to my ted talk.

I love your cage but here are a few tips! .i woundnt recommend using those wooden bridges as there tiny feet can get stuck in the gaps .get some more toys, herbs, burrows and tunnels .maybe use your sand in a tub/bowl as it’s much more better for the hamster to bathe .give diffrent kinds of food as they might get bored! Overall an amazing cage❤
