I throw my upshots too soft too. It's the most frustrating part of the game. Bad drive? Happens. Miss a putt? Meh. Baby a 150ft upshot and I'm about to kick a tree 😂

To your comment about off power days, I had the same thing yesterday. I felt accurate off the tee and the flight of the discs was decent. I blame the cold during the winter. I have no answers during the summer lol.

Another option for gifts is a dyed disc, I know a lot of people who will make a dyed disc work even if it doesn't fit what they usually throw.

You are crushing that driver lately, it’s from that mystery pack isn’t it? Ken was s generating a ton of snap with his adjusted throwing mechanic. I wonder if he was throwing fairway or distance drivers? It looks like he is overcooking his fairway drivers with all torque he generates. If so, maybe he could try some distance drivers 160+. Lightweight stuff will get the speed wobble on a forehand(sidearm). I mean all that with respect, not judgement. Enjoi

Not afraid of discs splitting in the cold? 170g DX disc at 0C will become two 85g discs on first tree or hyzer bomb.

Flight numbers are definitely a challenge with different plastics and weights. AND field work is key to figuring out all of the different types.

I have not found a pair that I can wear but not be aware of. Fingerless are close, but not quite. Thats me though. Gloves on between throws still do wonders. Harbor Freight has some nice lined rubberized options for cheap.

The gloves are a great topic to cover for the season. I've been using a batting glove that I had around since I play softball anyway for the last few weeks - I've been pretty happy with that because it's thin enough not to get in the way, still provides a bit of warmth, and the fake leather has some grip to it that helps with cold plastic. I've also noticed there are gloves specifically marketed towards ultimate frisbee, though ... thinking of picking that up to try too, I'd be curious if any other viewers have experience with that. Also for your case with trying to operate the camera too ... if the hangup is getting good touchscreen readings, would a stylus be a viable alternative?

Those gloves need a soft plastic coating… I like a warm glove on one hand, and then stick my throwing hand into a pocket with a hand warmer. You can still use your phone too!

Quick note: At almost every course I've been to, if there isn't an arrow or "Next T" sign, there's almost always a piece of colored tape, a small vinyl tube or something like that on one of the bars of the flat part of the basket to point you to the next tee.

I love my understable PA-5 putter disc. That left to right flight(anhyzer) is a beautiful and most effective flight path because a disc will most always finish with a left path. My motto is "straight is great!"☺Bill M., PDGA#7378, Uncasville, CT

I love my Prodigy discs like you do. The turnover discs like the understable F7 and H9 are my favorites along with the PA-3 putter. I like to keep the weights under 170 grams, with a 160 gram weight being the best for me. You are so right about having too many discs in your bag. Keep it simple and get to really know the flight paths of each disc.
