      Dear Aarti. It depends on the situation, why you need to detach. However, one general point is to realize that we can never control others and cannot influence their actions and thoughts beyond a point. Recognizing this, helps us to stay authentic and firm on what we think is the right way to deal with something. This way of being authentic and courageous will lead to detaching when necessary.

    Nice video madam. Actually I lost my mom about a few months back . I am 50 years old my mom lived upto 86yrs. I am unmarried my mom was everything for me ,now she is gone I have become very lonely. Unable to sleep at night, it's like a child being seperated from its mother. Kindly suggest me some tips madam

      Dear Prakash Losing a parent is always difficult as our bond with our parents is one of the earliest bonds. Your grief is natural and it will last for some time. Try to stay with the emotion instead of getting into memories and thoughts about her. Meditating regularly will help you restore your sleep. You can also use this opportunity to contemplate how life is so impermanent and think about what would be meaningful for you to do in your life going forward. If you are finding the emotion too difficult to handle, please consider speaking to a therapist. This can really help. I am linking a meditation that will help you stay with a difficult emotion.       Usually, uneasy experiences following meditation are because our bodies are very stressed and uneasy and meditation makes the brain aware of it. Please do not stop meditating. However, if you continue to experience vomiting and nausea then please practice walking meditation and lying down meditation for some time. All the very best.

      Hi. Thanks for your question. Viveka is discernment. The knowledge between what is helpful and what is not. The knowledge of what qualities are wholesome and which are unwholesome. When one walks the path of wisdom and lives life by principles of wisdom (living lightly, not giving in to cravings, meditating etc), viveka starts to develop.

    Thanks ma'am for your wonderful insight. Ma'am I had a question it will be really helpful if you can reply. Ma'am when I meditate I am aware that I am meditating and I also know that my inner consciousness is aware of what I am doing.. But I am unable to go beyond that.. And for hour I just sit like that where I am aware of my state and my inner consciousness.

      Dear Doremie, I am touched to know that you have a long and steady meditation practice. This itself is a very special state to be in. In my understanding, trying to go beyond is a desire, which is not our present moment reality. Our meditation practice must have the intention of trying to allow what is instead of trying to go beyond our experience. This allowing itself creates an opportunity for deepening and helps our practice move wherever it needs to. My suggestion would be just continue meditating as you are doing and try and stay focussed on one point whether it is on your breath or on the awareness. I wish you all the best.

    A mass was discovered on my lungs, I now know its because of suppressing my childhood abuse and ptsd for decades.
