I harvested my jalapeños and a bunch of tomatoes that feel endless. We grew a ton this year and focused more on a few crops instead of a huge variety. Also these will ripen fast in a cardboard box for fresh ripe tomatoes too. Come check out my full end of summer garden tour. #garden #tomatoes

Never thought of using instant pot b4 but your right
@@ktriceevanssr5301 I basically make all my bone broth or any soups in the instantpot it’s just quicker to pressure cook for that all day flavor.
I have never seen a breakfast cup of noodles, how interesting. Nor have I seen such a great variety, what a great store, enjoy ❤
@@MartinMidlifeMisadventures it’s so funny some of these new flavors, they also have an everything bagel one but I haven’t tried them.
The National Candle Association (NCA) has issued a safety message regarding a growing number of candles on the market that contain flammable materials including dried flowers, leaves, herbs and wood embedded in the wax near the flame (this concern does not include non-flammable items like metal and stone)
@@arasjab1412 I don’t see any safety messages on their website. Or anything I read through the whole safety faqs. Can you tell me what link it’s on?
Nice idea for quick gift’s; not just at Christmas. I have that same silicone mold. ☺️ I love the tin idea. I will have to try it. Dollar Tree also has cute little cellophane bag’s and curling ribbon to wrap them up in.
Amazing. Love these!!!
@@teresagnadinger335 thank you so much 😊
How fun! I've been holding on to all my used candles and I'm going to try this, and the soap. That bee mold is adorable!!! Have a wonderful weekend stay safe and well always ❤️🙏
@@MartinMidlifeMisadventures thank you! I have a lot of the tins from the dollar tree so it’s nice to make things with them. Have a great week ❤️
You can still find good deals at the dollar tree. Does stink that it's a dollar twenty-five now. Great items !

Great haul, Tammy. I especially love the tissue, its gotten sooo expensive $1.25 is a great price. I've never read or seen the books. You have a wonderful weekend, stay safe and well❤🙏
@@MartinMidlifeMisadventures thank you! We have to stay stocked up since it’s cold season. They had Judy Blume books I used to love those too.
Looks like that could work! Thank you
@@deborahmckinney808 it totally works!

What temperature and for how many hours. Please give us the information 😂😂😂
@@MackenzieLombard probably overnight and my dehydrator doesn’t have temp control.
Wal-Mart has had them in stock before, usually in a glass jar.
@@davidweikle9921 oh nice!!!
I love your garden! How wonderful to have fruit trees. I've been letting our tomatoes ripen indoors too. We could have a hard freeze any day. I'm like you and tempted to harvest everything just in case. Have a wonderful weekend stay safe and well 🙏❤️
@@MartinMidlifeMisadventures thank you so much. I definitely think adding the chicken poop we composted made a huge difference in our production this year. You guys have a great weekend too.💖
looks amazing my friend

What size lids ?
I just added the Amazon link.
I can’t get them to stay crunchy after water bath canning, they’re mushy
Mine didn’t stay crunchy either so now I make quick pickles or refrigerator pickles. I have seen people suggested buying pickle crisp or adding bay leaves.
Soak them in a lime/water mix for 24 hours as part of the process. Just do a search and they will come out nice and crisp!
No sugar?
@@lydiawall4018 recipe in description I added the salt and sugar off camera. Sorry about that.
Can you use this recipe to pickle green beans too?
@@Le_Bold_Thinker I would! You can usually use a basic brine recipe for all veggies and adjust the seasonings as needed. Let me know if you try it, how it turns out.
We buy this in Spain it’s a little expensive. Now I’m going to make my own. Thank you. From Wales, uk. And Alicante in Spain .
Yes you should make them. I’m adding the leftovers to a sandwich today.
that is a great haul
@@citygirlhomestead thank you ☺️
bet that is really good
I can’t wait to bring it to work tomorrow and share with coworkers with tacos. 😊
you know I never thought about doing that thank you for the idea
I like that, I'm gonna have to try it. We usually grow alot of green onions too. I never thought of making onion powder with them. Thanks for the idea.
No problem. We love buying spices but man they are getting super expensive so trying to make our own eventually.
What a great idea. Thank you
You are so welcome!
So this is the first year I've ever grown onions and I have tons as you do! I thought I had to wait until the leaves dry out before I can harvest the onion. I do pick a few now and then for tacos but I'm afraid to cut too many as I don't want the onion to stop growing. When can I harvest these leaves like you did? Did you only harvest a portion of the leaves?
We harvested some of the tops because they were toppling over everywhere. Then we harvested when we could see almost half the actual onion popping out of the soil. We could tell some where bigger than others.
Thank you!
I do the same thing!!
This is my first time. 😊
What an amazing onion harvest!!! I haven't had great luck with onions, but I will keep trying. Love all your garden updates...may you continue to harvest an abundance👍❤🙌
This is my first big harvest of onions. I’ve grown them good before but I dedicated this garden bed. Also we added our homemade chicken poop compost from our first year having chickens and I swear it’s my best garden yet.
that looks great my onions didn't come up
Oh I’m sorry to hear that. This is my best onion harvest yet.
I really love having homemade green onion powder to cook with. , Thanks for sharing this 😊
This will be my first year making onion powder and I’m excited to try it.
