Finally someone who compares it to the 2019 iPad Air XD I have one now and ordered an iPad 11 inch one yesterday. I still am not sure if it’s worth it with the battery life and all. Also the Apple Pencil costs a lot and I don’t have the money to get everything now. I will probably buy a newer one after 5-6 years

Our thermostats read 70 in each room……installed this with 2 sensors and both sensors read 73 while the thermostat read 68 and heat just kept going with sensors getting higher readings and thermo still at 68.

I think touch id is better just because I can unlock it at night. With my iPhone its annoying to put my password in just because my phone can’t read my face in the dark most of the time

All my books are digital, and the Apple pencil will definitely come in handy! Side note: I think this model only supports the pro and usb C Apple pencil (the 2nd gen isn't compatible)

Thank you for this details review. I am waiting delivery of a pair. Although reviews have been mixed. Would you recommend this to average user for music and work? I already own AirPods Pro 2 but like most ppl am always worried they will fall out of my ears. Overheads will be much better for travel etc. I’ve also heard the volume isn’t great is that true?

Super video for most Newbees to help them get started. Me being a MCSE and CCNA I dove right in without looking at the instructions and got it up and running in no time. I found most everything in the installation was very intuitive and easy. I use both the nest battery product with the Android's version of Google Home. It was purchased just for me to have the ability to watch my backyard bird feeders and catch the Yard Rats that pig out on expensive, black, sun flower seeds. If close enough to the feeder, it provided pretty good video in a WEMB file format extinction which I found many users cannot view those files. Likely due to out of date OS, updates, Windows patches, or their older media players just wouldn't work with it. Mine does so I thought so would others. I thought wrong. So just a FYI to everyone, there is a free conversion application called "Handbrake" and likely many others out there that will convert your .WEBM recordings into a .MP4 format which most anyone can view. However, I got one issue I found to be annoying which is that the my nest camera has a default setting of 5 minutes before it will go into idle mode? Not usually a big deal unless I'm trying to record a video that takes me more than 5 minutes. So I'm having trouble sometimes when I click record, it will shut down to idle mode before I can get back to my PC and I don't have but half the video I wanted due to the camera going into idle mode in the middle of my recording. That's a big bummer. I have searched and searched on how to change that default, 5 minutes to something longer like maybe 15 minutes. I know it's right there in front of me somewhere, but I just can't seemed to find it. I have no subscription to Google Nest as for what I use it for, I just don't think I need one. I'm basically just asking for HELP to find and adjust that default setting of 5 minutes to something else. I know I will be embarrassed when someone tells me exactly were to change that setting. So be it. So I'm desperate now and will resort to posting stuff I should be able to figure out on my own. But a big "Thanks" in advance to anyone that can HELP me. dlg

First gen lasted 4 years for me did its job just upgraded to the ring pro 2 I wish the aspect ratio would have improved on the nest and the video quality would have increased not gone done.

The best option for most is… A used iPad Pro 12.9” 5th Gen M1. Storage size doesn’t matter since it can offload data to an external HDD. It has promotion, miniLED, better speakers, Face ID, and other nice-to haves. The M1 was and still is a super robust CPU, and until the iPad gets a full fledged OS, it doesn’t need better. Best of all, it’s about $600 at most major retailers, and you can get an extended warranty for it. Accessories are hugely discounted.

I've been using a Caldigit TS3+ Dock starting with my 2019 MacBook Pro and now with my M2 MacBook Air. One cable to the laptop is a game-changer. I have the monitor, speakers, external HDD's (used for Time Machine and Carbon Copy Cloner), another USB A hub, Monitor light, all plugged into the Dock...plus it delivers power to charge my MacBook. It's not as expensive as it was because the newer TS4 Dock came out. Go for it - you won't regret it.

Great Video. I just revamped my setup and added a new docking station from Anker. Its the Anker 575 USB-C (13-in-1). I've had it for a few weeks now and have zero issues running my MacBook Pro.

I just bought this thermostat. Things i don't like about it is nothing in the app tells you when the thermostat is actually on and cooling or heating. Also can not go back and see how long the thermostat was being used the last day or days. Can not calibrate thermostat. My nest i could see every past day how long it was on or being used. When my heat kicked on you could see this in the app in real time. Besides those things this ecobee enhanced is a pretty good thermostat.

The range of motion should be the same when wall mounted, but, the wire needs to have slack in it to allow for that. But if you disagree please let me know, thanks.

Beware! The Ecobee enhanced thermostat DOES NOT work with systems that have auxiliary heat even though the Amazon website says it supports 2H, 2C and 2 auxiliary.

Really great review. Disappointing that it's not Home Kit compatible, and that only "snow" is available now. Debating between this and the Eve cam which is basically the original nest cam - with home kit compatibility.

The iPad mini is actually the forgotten child of the iPad family. 😠 Often neglected. Rarely updated regularly. And when it finally is, the updates tend to be minor.

If you can stretch your budget better don’t get one. The battery life is so bad and it does heat up so all that M2 chip is useless.
