You need to retitle this video. There was less than two minutes of backpacking or even Olympic National Park in a more than six minute video.
I live in Seattle too but I am not quitting my job for Norway. I will take a 2-3 week long vacation next summer. Where is the spot you stopped for pizza at 5:10?
Hi Margaret! Oh how lovely! Unfortunately I do not know the exact spot but it was in the town of Reine in the Lofoten Islands! We just drove up a hill in the neighborhoods and ended up at this lookout!

The midnight sun was so breathtaking! Thanks for posting this video and it really inspired me because I'll visit to Northern Norway next month. Could you please tell me what day of June did you shoot those golden midnight sun footages? I'm not sure if the sun angle permits me to experience such fantastic golden hours in mid-July
Oh wow! Have so much fun! We were actually there early July- so probably July 3rd- 10th or something along those lines. I think you will still be able to get a lot of the midnight sun as that is quite close to when we experienced it!
Maui is the next island I plan to visit !

Go WA state! Used to live in Sammamish. Hiked everything there. Also a lot in Alaska, Maui/Kauai, Oregon and British Columbia. So funny that you fly over here to hike. Have some cabins way up in Finnish Lapland not far from Lyngen. Yet, we fly to WA state a lot still to hike 😂
I actually grew up in Washington! I have been hiking there for about 10 years now :) and i live in Maui! So funny you would mention all of those places! Lyngen Alps is gorgeous and I am so jealous you have a cabin near there!

Lots of the valleys in Hawaii has fruits from the first Polynesians that brought fruits with them to the islands as well as pigs. Hence up mauka from you is a heiau not a hippy ville. Great video tho

Awesome video! When did you go? I’m planning a trip for late March and hoping I can miss the rain. Last year I went to Kauai in early February and got dumped on the entire time. Still an amazing place!
We went in September!! Winter is definitely the rainiest time, spring is probably the second rainiest time!
