    Another great lesson, one suggestion, please can you keep the arabic subtitles hardcoded into the video, because then the users can turn on the English cc subtitles and compare them. Because when playing your videos in the background it helps when I hear a word I don't know and can come over and check it.

    Hi Maha, when you say "Abel ana ma kenet aa’ref aa’mel tabbouleh, aw ana ma ken bade et’allam kif aa’mel el tabboule" Why do you say "kenet" and then "ken" ? what's the difference ? Thank you for that amazing content ! Waiting for the episode 11 with impatience :)

      @@paquet4748 great question! With bade it's a "fake verb" when we want to put it in the past we just add "ken" with all pronouns. Ana ken bade i wanted Inta ken baddak you wanted m Inte ken baddek you wanted f Etc.. Ana kenet is conjugated with I Ana kenet aaref i used to know Inta kenet taaref you used to know m Inte kente taarfe you used to know f Howe ken yaaref he used to know Etc In this case with a normal verb like aaref should be conjugated according to the pronoun.

I've been learning Shaami for a year and a half now and I have been frustrated with the lack of materials since I started. Now I'm able to understand and speak to a A2-B1 level and the content you make is perfect for my level. When we say عني that means "about me" or "for me" Example: مين عم يحكي عني؟ who's talking about me? ما تحكي عني لو سمحت انا بحكي عن حالي don't speak for me please I speak for myself Sometimes whe do this and replace "ana" with a suffixe but not here. :)

    Great point about grammar. Babies learn how to listen before learning how to conjugate, right ? It feels like the right order. Plus, you happened to conjugate a lot of verbs in this video, with context and with different persons, and I feel like I learn much better that way than with boring conjugation lists. Super useful content, it gave me courage to work on my arabic again, thank you so much !
