This version perfectly captures the reckless urgency of the song. I feel like I'm hanging on for dear life. Breathless. I can't think of any other song that does this to me every time I hear it. This first song on "Exile" followed by Rip This Joint are the best one-two punch opening songs of any Rock 'n Roll album.

I never realized others loved the lyrics to this song as much as me!! When he sings " the sunshine bores tge daylights out of me" somehow makes me feel alive and sums up the stones!

peak Stones, the entire Exile album. To add the sax and piano into their repertoire was their coup de grace. Amazing music.

This must be Down Under '73. By the time they hit Europe '73 they were not doing this anymore. Thanks66loser; this is by far the best version live of Rocks Off. One of my alltime fave Stones cuts. But they have never been able to pull it off live. Don't know why Jagger hasn't changed the key for live. This is superb here. Also, IMO the '73 Far East tour is the very best the Stones ever were on stage. Better even than US 72 and Europe 73 . There are a couple boots from the Australia shows (Perth, and one of the Sydney shows that are stellar)

I find it unfair that the Stones don't release this version of Rocks Off because it is the best live version I have ever heard in my life!!!
