Hey, that's no problem. Always happy to break things down. Think of it as - if 2 or more targets would get crimson applied who don't already have it, use it. If Crimson is already applied and no other bleeds need refreshed - use envenom. I hope this helps, but if not please let me know and I can try help :)

This is actually a good question that no-one ever asks! So 9 out of 10 times I will use wound poison. The only times I would use Deadly is when I have someone with a good MS effect. That being said, at the start of the expansion I was playing about to see what was more beneficial / worked best. Which is wound btw :)

This was my goal with this type of guide. An introduction and some basics to think about when wanting to try the class or jump into PvP for the first time. So thank you, sincerely :) Rogue can be the most frustrating class you ever play and the most rewarding/ fun class you play. Completely get it tbh. For me, Deathstalker seems to fit better thematically. Even the talents seem to be better suited to Assa. But I cannot argue with the results I get with Fatebound

They both feel meh tbh... i dislike most hero talents.. but i get overall better results with fatebound, + i hate using ambush 😂

Amen to this! I think for me it feels lacklustre when it’s compared to Hero talents like Void Weaver, Dark Ranger etc. if the Rogue talents had a little flair to them other than the stupid visual of a coin - it would make me feel more satisfied.

@@MasterDk4ever thanks! If you use BetterBlizzFrames, there is a dark mode in there. If not, it’s on Curse and honestly didn’t think I liked it at first - but it’s now something that feels odd not to have!

I play it 99% of the time also. However if you prefer simple duels or focus on 1v1 etc, it’s useless. The extra damage on the garrote doesn’t come from the talent also. However I think I’m may be misreading your message slightly. If you prefer deathstalker and it’s working for you, that’s cool. If it’s not, there is fatebound and this is what the guide is about. Which is also recommended for Assassination by most R1 players. It just gives you a bit more wiggle room with openers. I assume you’re a rogue player and would assume you know different scenarios call for different tactics. Simply what the guide is for. The spec is RNG, however has yielded better results for me and for many other high rated assa rogues. Feel free to check the description for Both builds with and without indiscriminate carnage 😊

Sure I can, in the video I give an example of a single target opener by using the following: Cheap Shot Garrote Rupture Slice & Dice if you have Serrated bone spike Cheap shot again Garrote again will give you the extended duration on it At this point we would be looking to either would be deciding if we are going to burst or not. Can use Evasion / Cloak to stay aggressive, or vanish to let them rot a little more and move to other targets. Just be mindful that due to Cheap shot being used, Kidney shot will be impacted by diminishing returns. Obviously there is so many openers with Rogues depending on the situation. For example, if its a mage - open with garrote first as they can blink out of the initial cheap shot, but are silenced if you open with garrote. I'm going to start streaming on Twitch soon so people can see live what I do, but also to play a bit of a mix of classes with Rogue being the main ofc. But this will help with the live interaction and questions to be asked. Hope the above helps and always more than happy to answer questions :)

@@David_loves_foods to avoid the cliche, if you were equally skilled on both, Sub in a lot of situations. I prefer Assa play style personally, sub is very repetitive to me and bores me. Also find that Assa in a 1v1 is also strong. I think 11.0.5 might push Sub to being very strong with some of the talent buffs in the rogue tree - but they will also benefit Assa. Which do you prefer?

Exactly the same here. The idea of a deathstalker sub rogue sounds amazing to me. But the play style of assa with the dot and rot style - wins me over every time.

Sub will see you well! Deathstalker Sub is strong atm and probably the best spec for objective gameplay. Has a lot more survivability compared to Assa also. I get Sub etc, I just don’t really like the play style sadly. I’m a dot/rot play style person. How are you getting on with it yourself?

@TheWeekend_Warrior initially it was overwhelming, but i figured it out. For example the use of like 69 cooldown skills, what to do out of stealth in 1v1s, bursting from stealth. i like the up front real time damage, found that when you can't rely on your team, dots is not the way to go. With real time abilities, you are more in control, with dots, you invest in slow over time damage, and that wasn't working in my favor trying to turn the tide of the battle

@propelproject 100%! The dots require teamwork where you rely on others with the upfront dmg or even just coordinated team play. I still play other classes, played Arms warrior for most of my time on WoW. But I find something about the dot classes / specs that just soothes my soul haha

@TheWeekend_Warrior the pvp gameplay is so high paced right now, the bursts are the blink of an eye

I do have evidence of that for some footage haha. Had 2 fury warrs and an MM all target me and was dead in less than 1 second haha

It’s honestly such a nicer and simpler spec that gives us more control since we can spend our globals better. I’ve been playing about with it for about a week now and made much more progress with it also. I initially tried it, but just couldn’t get into the play style of Fate, but that’s because I was playing about trying to get the buffs from the coins. Now I realise they are good, but we shouldn’t play trying to align them. Glad you’re having a good experience with it also and it’s only a credit to it actually being better!

@@TheWeekend_Warrior yeah I just switched and didn’t think about anything, just played like I did in dragonflight and it seemed to work a lot better. Definitely got some good tips on things I can improve from your vid thanks!

@richiem6682 that is exactly it! It feel like Dragonflight S4 but just a bit better.

it definitely feels like its the hardest at times. Like needing to watch your DR's manage your CD's for the right time, control another target, while dps'in and controlling yours. But then you get those 2v1'2 or 3v1's - you think "Nah Rogue doesn't need a buff" and feel great!! Good job on the double DH! Just keep at it and keep practicing. P.s. I find Resto Druid the hardest to play!

Hey! So glad you're enjoying it :) ngl, I've found the same and not sure if there is a bug with Serrated Bone Spike pulling you back into combat if its active - or if its something in the Deathstalker talents that's causing this in error. Either it's not working as intended because when we use vanish, we aren't meant to get pulled into combat from out active bleeds. Personally, I tend to be play as if I'm still playing a plate wearer... I will be all over the EFC for example and once its down, get straight into the team fight to dot as many as possible, stun, blind and just be a pain in general and then stealth away back to my job. As soon as you're out of defensives in team fights, vanish/meld and get out of there cause we will get run over if we aren't winning the team fight. But, if you love this build, you're gonna love the next video ;)

I’m similar, shot up to 1740cr on my Assa rogue, then went in a losing streak, now stuck at 1600 and it’s like 50/50 games. Just had a game where we had a mistweaver and he refused to carry the flag. Had no good alternatives so we lost. There is only so much you can control in blitz

@@richiem6682 This 1000%! I had a prot warrior who didn't want to FC in WSG... sadly its a grind and part of the randomness of getting players is half the fun. Especially if you get a win from these bgs!

@@TheWeekend_Warrior yeah you are right just gotta play for fun. I got one class to 1950 and another to 1800 and this is my third. There is just a lot of luck involved. Best to just treat it as a fun battleground and enjoy the game, eventually you get on the winning sides and climb. Don’t let it get to you when you play well and others don’t and you loose or it will do your head in. It just takes a couple of people not playing well on your team and you will likely loose, however sometimes people genuinely make mistakes too, it happens.

Hi mate!, using Ambush after you vanish reapplies Deathstalkers mark, which will be reapplied when we next Envenom (which will be our big buffed envenom). Can use this window to extend garrote if needed or weave in Cheap shot etc. I really dislike the use of ambush to apply the marks, but we make it work :)

@darkpsy9325 its no worries at all, you caught me doomscrolling with my coffee haha. Yeah it’s a tough one with Rogue to learn cause one mistake and you can get flattened if you have no defensive etc. I’m starting work on another assassination video which allows us to use cheap and gives us more control. Also gives comparable damage if not slightly better which might make things a bit easier for us all. Keep your eyes peels for it and I hope it will be just as useful:)

Hey man, thank you <3 Honestly? It's the same spec. The trick with arena gameplay is how you target select. I.e, if its ranged and a melee, you want to go on the ranged so you can cleave when the melee comes to you etc. There is so many different variables in arena, but this spec is now what the tops rogues are using in Blitz and 2's. Best of luck with Rogue! Keep calm, don't panic and just watch your enemies melt away. Practice makes perfect!

Hi mate, that's great! I'm so glad you've managed to get something from the content :) For me, while getting titles like Legend or Glad etc would be nice, I'm more of a chaser of the elite tmogs. I think I need to broaden my reach a little as I'm purely focusing on BG Blitz - but think its times to mix it up a little. Congrats again on a 1800 push, next stop - 2100! <3

@@Maskeddrake BGBlitz is wild atm. 8 rating for a win, -12 to -22 for a loss is brutal. Hoping it all balances out in a few weeks, but I do think I am going to need to branch out. Thank you for the support, it means a lot :)

Amen to that. There is a few other uploads I’ve got coming which I’ll drop each day. I don’t know about you but I’m finding the 1500-1750 bracket very hit or miss. Seems I can have a good run then hit a wall of bad games. Can play well, but it feels like you’re the only one focusing on objectives or your role. But I agree, take it with a pinch of salt and don’t drive yourself mad!

@@TheWeekend_Warrior Yea ive gone up and down a lot. With the amount of variables, not evened out like with solo shuffle, it could take much longer to reveal your true rating position through averages.

I agree. I’m just trying now to get through as many as possible to average it out. Had a few opportunities to join some healers but wanting to see how it plays out entirely solo. It’s frustrating, but I’m also loving it. The altered mechanics have brought a little life into older bgs which I’m thankful for.

Well firstly, welcome back to WoW! It’s made many changes over the years but does feel like it’s going in the right direction. I’m also glad you find the content useful. I think along the journey I’m going to upload similar content to this highlighting what I think I done right, but also what I think I could better with. Hey, thank you for that! I honestly live for the old school nostalgic videos of wow pvp. I’m not a fan of editing to the point where it’s more about video editing and performing a script. The two garrotes doesn’t up the damage, but increases the duration due to the pandemic effect. The stun threat from melees is a real issue in a 1v1 situation and I should have clarified in the video this opener works best when opening in a team fight or peeling for your healers etc. as I mainly focus on BG Blitz and BGs this isn’t usually a problem. There is various openers for many different scenarios in BGs, the main thing we need to do as a Rogue is be adaptable. I have some content coming with different openers I’ve been working on as with deathstalker play needing the use of Ambush - it’s tricky to find the most optimal way to do this.

Crimson tempest is a massive bleed that is used on a single target or in AoE. I would honestly say it’s needed as it’s one of the strong bleeds in our kit

You're welcome! I was trying to find a way to get the marks into the rotation without it being too much hassle and this worked best for me. I capped in bloody tokens first and bought world pvp belt and wrists. I then capped conquest and bought shoulders and on use trinket. I'm trying to push Blitz only on this for content so when i hit 1600 ill use the token to buy helm as its good stats and a large item ill get for "free" to use conquest better. I also bought a epic crafting token to make 2x algari daggers to get 2 639ilvl weps right away. For stats, aim for Versa > Mastery > Crit > Haste. Enchant / Gem that gives versa + Mastery and enchants that give +speed and weps Im using Radiant Power. Hope this helps! :)

@@TheWeekend_Warrior Yes it does! Why crit tho ? Crit has never been good on assa, ik haste helps with energy, also ur envenom gets a 100% crit proc after ur deathmark stacks as u said in the video, i get like 1.5m crits of envenom consistently. Also i kinda fucked my conq gear because i bought chest + shoulders but ill find a way around that :D. Also, why make weps when next week we can get the 2 weps from the quest ?

@@SI33py Sorry I've made a mistake in the order! Its Versa > Mastery > Haste > Crit. Was doing too many things at once! Last Season was Versa > Mastery > Crit > Haste.... I thought about the weapon choice long and hard given the quest where we get the weps on week 3. But the weps we get are versa crit. So opts for Versa Mastery weps with embellishments on each. Don't worry too much about the chest / shoulders you bought, by the end of next week - it really wont make any difference. Conq cap will increase by 600 a week now so conquest gear will be a little slower as we have no vault anymore. But be sure to keep chasing those bloody tokens for items!

I'll probably aquire all the other pieces of gear and if only my weps are left green before i can finish the quest ill craft other ones. @SI33py yeah weps are awful ngl. World PvP ones are 3ilvl lower and have haste, but thought since I got 9 free crafting tokens, I’d buy the one as would be an early advantage. I’ve started the 0-1800 blitz journey and looking to focus on the solo journey for players. So once that’s hit, I’ll take a bottom of the tier class/spec to make it interesting haha. But for now, more rogue content coming soon going over some macros!

Amen! I want to put up the complete journey. If it’s 10-15 matches, cool. If it’s 100-150, all will be posted. Want the entire process to be documented because it’s not plain sailing for 95% of the player base and I think you can learn a lot from someone’s losses just as much as their victories. Great plays, bad plays and everything in between - it’s all about the learning.

Completely agree with you! For me when starting to use this, it just felt wrong and didn't make any sense to me. But Since using it, the numbers it does it just too good. Just for example, was getting some content last night and Crimson was ticking for 330k-350k. It's just a really strong bleed at the moment and the added pressure it brings is noticeable when you're training a target. Even just a single target :)

I don't even get why rogues have aoe. It feels super weird on a rogue to me, much like shadow damage does.

Agreed! But I’ve gotten used to it as I roam around bgs, I pop into fights, cleave a lot of things and then vanish away again. Found it rather fun as we have strong single target, strong AoE and get to be a menace in bgs! Although sometimes I get too aggressive on the rogue and stay in team fights longer than I should :/

When you think back to how some things were, there has definitely been some improvements. But, setting up chunky burst has always been fun!

Voidweaver fits shadow so much better imo! I’m actually enjoying VW as Disc tbh!

Oh how I wish I knew! It’s brutal as sometimes stealth just seems to break. I’ve been out of stealth which my buffs show I’m in stealth! Think there must have been a couple of small bugs but it certainly isn’t fun when it randomly happens at the worst times!
