Seeing them open for Mudvayne and Megadeth was such an absolute treat and the VIP package they held was life dream met and they absolutely stole the show. Well worth seeing them live. This has the most Oli throwback writing style out of the newer songs. The progression really hits that Fall of Ideals/Overcome era of the band. Bless Richardson, Deis, Baron and Mike and Phil for continuing. And There will never be a more perfect guitarist to fill Olis shoes. Oli picked Richardson to replace him should anything ever have happened to him for a reason.

You should definitely react to Defector, its off Revolution as well. Imo, it’s easily the best song they’ve written in a while. Its emotional and it has a deep meaning to it. One of the top songs from the album imo

Hmm... Not a bad song. It does appear that they're going back to a sound that fans are familiar with, Like that little throwback to bodies with the guitar, But when you really listen to it, at its core it still feels like a generic rock song. It really bleeds through the lyrics... The whole "ohh, Don't tell me what to do! I'm above your authority! I'll do what I want!" vibe to me, very generic and cheesy. Plus the vocals, Whenever Ryan sings for Drowning Pool, its Soil Jr. Just now they decided to sound a little like old school DP, but compare Sinner from 2001 with Dave to this, drastically different. Painfully. DP will never be the same without Dave, but the song.. 7.5/10. Your reaction? 10/10 🤘

Korey Cooper did a good job producing this one. Bridge was disappointing and verses a bit soft but. Apparently album has 4-5 solos so ...i am waiting for some hard rockers.

The four young girls are Atarashi Gakko. The rest is Maximum the Hormone The lady singing clean at the end is the drummer of MtH and she is a legend in female rock/metal drumming in Japan.

Maximum The Hormone has done A LOT of anime music. I don't watch anime but if you do, you have likely heard them. However be careful with MTH as they have a history of copyright striking, not just takedown requests etc, but full on strikes. MTH started in 1997. The woman singing with Atarashii Gakko at the end is MTH's drummer. Atarashii Gakko are a really interesting J-pop group who are also followed by quite a few metal lovers, not because their music is metal, it isn't, but their energy, style, idiosyncratic nature, dance style etc means they often appeal to people who like metal. One thing people often miss/ignore is that Courtney used to do the more gutteral screams. In fact, that's how she started in Unicron & used for a while in IWABO. She essentially stopped doing them in Spiritbox, but they do come out sometimes live. However, she is trending more toward a new high scream these days and has recently introduced a higher pitch into parts of Soft Spine (in the video with Poppy, people have been crediting Poppy with a late scream, but it's actually Courtney doing something she does live every night).

If you have stereo overheads you can get that separation. Of course it depends on your stage volume and how big the stage is and outdoor vs indoor. A stage this size with a band that uses mostly or entirely in-ears where the loudest thing on stage is the drums you can get pretty good stereo with a multitrack mix.

Actually, there’s LOTS of videos of this performance and in person, Tati was near inaudible, sound engineer FUCKED it up. If it wasn’t for this produced version, it would’ve been a total flop.

loved this track, that chorus was eargasmic. I'm really hoping they will lock in and make a full album without any filler and 10/10 songs like this. When they said they were gonna go "really heavy" on this track, I was a bit worried they would throw away those signature massive choruses (similar to Breaking Benjamin) that they did which made them special for me. They delivered both that and a super heavy track, it's perfection great reaction man!

hey T, loved watching!! Her new album coming out this november! i wouldn't say she's new to metal, she's been making heavy stuff since 2019 so definitely not new to the scene. she even was the first solo female to ever be nominated for "best metal performance" in the 2020 Grammys which is historic. she's also tried a couple of screaming techniques so far and still is exploring more which is fun to see. i feel like her take on heavy music (such as her 2020 album I Disagree) has always been way too avant garde for the average pop or metal fan to get into. the current modern metalcore approach makes her stuff accessible for more people which is great.
