Hey there, new subscriber here. I've been thinking about making my own video essays but i'm worried about copyright. I see that you use a lot of scenes from movies and tv shows. how do you avoid getting flagged for copyright?

In addition to everything you said, the background of the sceen is incredible, with so many easter eggs to Star Wars lore. Just really well done in all areas

Birdman 2014 was also really great that year but yeah Interstellar should have won more, especially the music department

I absolutely loved it! I have heard some people say it was too slow paced. I did not believe that to be many people special young people today one instant gratification they’re trying to give your background on the characters and a backstory can that can take some time but I feel it’s absolutely necessary. Some shows don’t give any background or any history of the characters and that’s annoying. I feel they did a a fantastic job. My only complaint was that it was only six episodes I noticed a couple of other comments mentioning it only having six episodes I find that more and more America is becoming more like Britain. It’s always been like that very few episodes of or a series as they refer to it in Britain also it is costing more and more make produce shows like this so I guess that’s how they are trying to save money but I think this could’ve been a 10 or 11 episode easily I thoroughly enjoyed it and I even purchased it already so it’s in my library I can watch it whenever I want on Max, but I also own it. I wanted to support it as well. I really liked it also a lot of credit to the cast they were all wonderful! I went two years ago when I was a kid. I’ve always loved science fiction. It’s the only fiction I read other than that like history books I’m 65 now and the new Dune films blew me away. While I’ve always been a huge David lunch fan, I did feel that doom needed a proper remake. I think it’s spectacular and so is Dune Prophecy. One last remark vI agree with one of the comments I read above about marketing or lack there of and I agree MAX did a lousy job marketing this program!

robbie williams isn't a star, he had a short career. The budget was way too big and ape gimmick was a waste of time. His music has no soul imo. Even major artists like ray charles struggled to get films popping with major actors. I can not understand how this was greenlit for production. I'm sure it's an ok film but i dislike musicals, dislike his music and dislike cgi uncanny valley ish.

Unfortunately they can Never create the same sense of awe..wonder and spectacle as the 1st jurassic park movie because it was the 1st time we EVER saw cgi dinosaurs in a movie ect and they were portrayed as animals..since then we're ALL used to seeing cgi monsters,dinosaurs ect over and over again in so many films,games ect..so the impact isnt there anymore...sadly

It’s the studio executives own stupidity for not marketing the film well enough and even releasing it at the wrong period / month of time. This isn’t the first time a critically positively acclaimed movie like Better Man bombed at the Box Office due to the marketing and the studio’s own stupidity but it also happened with both Blade Runner films, The Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, Scott Pilgrim, Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning, Iron Giant, The King of Comedy, Furiosa, Killers of the Flower Moon, Children of Men, The Thing and The Suicide Squad etc. Like you said, once it hits streaming and DVD, people will come around and give it the attention it deserves and who knows, it could become a cult classic like the others but I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

My expectations are low at this point. I'm only excited to see the dilophosaurus, raptors and T- Rex.

i watched the 1970s one first and already within the first 20 minutes the 1970 one had way better acting. crazy how bad acting has gotten

The new dinosaur is a great idea, i agree it's look doesn't fit in with the rest of the franchise, but it makes sense that when they first started creating dinosaurs there would be some mistakes along the way

Me and my dad have been rewatching this movie together for years. We’re both war history nutts especially him. We know it’s not 100% accurate but man the characters the flow of the story the action. I don’t expect movies to be 100% accurate you need to add some stuff to make a great movie not a documentary.

Romulous was excellent, Prey a good effort but not so amazing IMO

As a long time FF fan (I'm talking 50+ years) my favorite moment was when Sue says that Ben has always been the rock of the family while showing the pain on Ben's face as he sees his former self on TV. That one small moment perfectly captured the pathos of the Thing! I can't wait until July!!!!

Really loved it and broken we only had 6 episodes. The acting was superb and the scenery exquisite. Looking forward to season 2.

Why couldnt they just make a Fantastic 4 Part 4 and keep the same cast. I hate when they start from 1 in another universe when they haven’t finished up the universe with current multiple movies 👎🏾👎🏾

as much as i love villeneuve, dune movies suck and paul pisses me off, i don't care about him or his journey, i don't remember anything from the movies, they're long and boring even on 1.75x speed, their storytelling isn't engaging. you can't say this show isn't friendly with its specific lore as if the movies aren't a load of bullshit with bad casting. i like watching valya commit questionable deeds, bene gesserit, who are the only interesting part of the movies along with the worms, rock and i want to know how they rose to power

What had been a Michael b Jordan movie a lot of people would have went to see it anyway the original preview left something to the imagination the vampire aspect would have beens play total bonus

There's an explanation to the budget being so high. They had to pay for shooting the Regent Street sequence twice because the Queen died right when they were supposed start shooting the first time.

The other 2 from jurassic world were awesome. Especially with blue and beta. This 1 looks stupid

I would also like to see a serious analysis of the Andy Serkis character on the Narkina 5 episodes who was changed from - didn't give a shite about having to follow the empire to ultimately where he went and how he got there in like TWO episodes. Another great piece of writing & craft work. Cheers :)

Im biased. Jurassic Park/World is one franchise that I'm always going to love. The lore and worlbuilding. Theres alot of cannon things we dont see on screen that come from cannon websites and such. The point is, even when a film is "meh," I still love it. So, Im always hype for whatever is coming. Now, with that said... This trailer was everything I could ask for really. And what Im I most hype about? The Xenomorph-Rancor hybrid "dinosaurs" we are getting. I've wanted them to introduce this for soooo long. It makes sense. Of course there were cases where they failed bringing what they wanted to life. Where things are botched and creepy. It's realistic to how science is. Ill be there day one.

The series has really been great. Some of the episodes me want to check out the games on which they are based. The Warhammer episode was glorious. Huge fan now.

I loved the show, even more than the movies, because it shows different locations of the universe of Dune.

In all objectivity, I found it guite good, with all the limitations from its visibly low budget (and some goofs, weak story spots etc). Between this and the backlash that fell on the character of Reva in the Kenobi show, which wasn't half as bad as enough to deserve all the rage around her, I'm beginning to wonder if there is not after all, indeed, a difficulty for a whole range of the audience to find interest in a show the main characters of which they can't identify with, just because of categorial reasons (non male/fighting character, older, from another ethnicity etc), period...

Which is contrary to the humanitarian principles that motivate people to resist tyranny in the first place. There is nothing honourable about war. There are no good guys, plenty of bad guys, and those who remain are either people who try to survive, or people who try to win.

it was promoted well in the uk. the cinama was full when i went to go see it and ppl was singing and dancing. you talk about how much money it made in the u.s but the u.s is not the only place it was relased, what about everywehre else??

It was basically everything I hoped for. It got me hyped. Simple as that. There is a "leak" out there I do think is actually true as to what the plot is and how it plays into the Multiverse Saga. If true, its AWESOME. So, I think this is where the saga really kicks in. It shouldn't suprise me, but it still does. We have some crying about how the "CGI is bad." Which is peak absurdity. No, its not. And then some mad Galactus is smaller. Which, hes Galactus. He can make himself different sizes. Not an issue. And then mad because its Pedro. Sigh. Point is, I thought this would be one of those things basically everyone would agree on. It's a good teaser. But nope. We have our typical contrarian and culture wars nonsense.

Just one location in the movies...the arena scene on Giedi Prime, the transition scene on Caladan.

So many actors out there far better suited to play Reed Richards... I have a feeling that the retro look, which I like, is temporary as the first family of Marvel is destined to be a part of the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (which at this point is saying very little as Disney has run its IP into the ground and doubles down on what fans hate)

Funny enough i was glad dune prophecy turned out this way. It is an extension and spin off to the dune movie universe so it's not supposed to be watched by a general outside audience. This TV show literally expands the lore which should and did target the very specific audience. I loved the dune movies and im here for it, so as why people should be here. If you haven't watched the movies/read the book and have no idea about dune, why are you even watching this series? You should proceed to watch the DUNE movie/books first!

I watched the original on an airplane flight and thoroughly enjoyed it, but I never got around to watching the rest of this series. I hope this new re-do is as much fun as the first. Although, I have to admit I don't remember enough to compare so I;m up for a new version with actors I know and care about.
