@@nolacross704 it is but you take a risk running it. It’s a very low amp esc. That is why I upgraded to a 60amp.

@@patrickconey7643 oh sorry! I was thinking about the Rafale in 64 too but now they are awesome prices from FMS (I have a contact now too) and the 64 is sold out. But the bigger 80 is for about $350 …

@@patrickconey7643 ok super for the ragale but sorry for your crash… no possibility to repair it? I repaired my Avanti V1 after stalling from around 60 feet high and she flies spectacular now that I learned to fly 😆

Wait, you put your Futura 64mm on 6s with the stock setup??? Fastest I got in a dive off record was 91mph. I thought about running 6s but the esc is only rated for 4s.

@@patrickconey7643 I learned to fly edfs on the Futura or at least I thought and then met a guy online who fast flying the Marlin tuned and so we came together to the idea of trying 6S setups. That needs of course a bigger esc (60A will fit normally) and 6S EDF. I took the QX 2400kv and he took the Freewing 2500kV which is the more powerful alternative but also a bit more weight. Also you need some 1800-2200 Lipos that aren’t too heavy. We have tried HRB, Yowoo, GensAce and SMC. The best but more heavy were the Yowoo Graphene. The Smc weren’t as good as people say but maybe they were not A-quality from the Shop of Netherlands. With this setups you can go unlimited vertical. But after crashing after just three or four flights I rebuild it with the stock 4S. After gaining confidence again I tried a small 5S 1300 and it was a blast! Because I had that 20-25% of extra power with the same Lipo weight or less :) I have a short on my channel called Jump 🤣 I also tried 6S but that fried a bit the motor and it lost power. Now I’ve putagain the 6S in…

So I used a 2x4 for the cross beams and plywood for the base. I’ll get you some measurements soon.

If you do a stinger strut it’ll be more stable. I thought about doing one myself. I love the looks of the recoil and that can be a fast boat.

@mikejohn2307 I only have one complaint and it was during assembly. The screw on one side of the wing was hard to get lined up. I had to sand the inside of the wing to get it to work. You don’t see it though so it doesn’t matter. Other than that, I love the plane. Highly recommended!

So I usually don’t flip it. Very rare and I always fly in grass. I make sure I give full elevator once I land to keep the nose up. Make sure you do that and have enough travel. I use high rates.

Only time the servo twitches is when the truck is upside down because the gyro in it is trying to find center. It has not locked up.

I didn’t but it was cooler that day so not likely very hot. I’ll check it next time!

Yeah, it’s the V2 which nothing really changed much between it and the V1. Comes with a deans but I put a XT60 on it. Not a deans fan at all.

@@Danielxperez14 deans doesn’t typically do well with lower voltage. I prefer XT60’s or higher. Also, Deans are not my favorite to solder. XT60’s are much easier.

@@patrickconey7643 as in lower voltage do you mean like 3s and lower batteries? I have 2 and 3s deans batteries and never had issues so not sure why people don’t like them, one thing to note is my cars come with deans stock so that’s why I have deans in the first place, I don’t do any sotering only an adapter maybe

The gear will bend some on a hard landing. My buddy landed it hard. I took the gear off and bent it back it. It’s all good again.

Not easy straightening at the field without a vice, I turn mine round and next landing straightens it
