Fanatec DD Extreme stuck in bootloader mode when turned on.
Fanatec Driver version 455
Base firmware: 2.0.1.4
Wheel firmware: 1.0.3.0
8-09 Update: I HAVE THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM AGAIN!!!! :(
I was able to use the wheel base about 5 times and now it's fucked again....
3-09 Update: Just received my DD Extreme back from Fanatec. They replaced the main PCB in the DD Plus base. All is working great again!
It less than 2 weeks to get it back after sending it in for repairs. Kudos for the fast repairs.
27-8 update: Finally received an RMA from Fanatec support last week. I sent it to Fanatec the same day.
Track&trace showed they received it yesterday.
I hope it won't take too long to get it repaired or replaced.

Hello! I noticed that when you have PC Mode (Red) and the update is downloaded, it automatically switches to PlayStation Mode (Blue), which causes the update to stop. Try to do this: turn on the steering wheel when it starts PC Mode (Red) as in the video: plug in, update when you switch to PlayStation Mode (Blue) disconnect the cable from the PC, switch to PC Mode (Red) and then turn off the steering wheel. Turn it back on and plug it in under your PC, update it and it should work.
@Mako19298 It switches to blue after it completes flashing the base firmware. At which point I can use it on my PS5. I have to do this every time I want to use the wheel.
I have exactly the same problem with my DD+ base. I have an RMA but I'm not sure I should send it to Fanatec in their current state. Right now I have a base that works after updating it. If I send it in I may never get it back.
@MisterPokeylope If I get to send mine in, I will. I have full warranty. Worst case scenario, I drive to Landschut, Germany to get a new DD+ base.

I bought the base separately, not as a bundle.
@MisterPokeylope Finally got an RMA today. I just sent it out. Hopefully it's not going to take months to get it fixed and shipped back to me.

I had the same issue with DD + …. I reverted to driver 454 and old firmware then upgraded to 455 driver but do not update the latest firmware . Try it , it’s exactly what happened to me
@LENNY127 I will try it. But so far, when I have it working and I turn it off, it will only go to firmware update mode when I turn it on again.

Fanatec is trash !!!! Switched dd1 for the simucube ! We spend to much money to be treated how we are from them ! Zero response’s help or action
People are just having lots of problems with this wheel base. They clearly have rushed the product through and design flaws are present
Try to use another pc. I had same problem with my dd pro, using another laptop helped me

just remove the usb from ps5 and replug it, mine just continues to calibrate when pluged out of ps5 and continues as normal, But yeah, same issue.
@@zenflight2450 Mine does nothing when unplugging the usb cable. It remains in firmware update mode.
I had the same issue with downgrading the firmware, but the update didnt reconnect my base too, the only thing that worked out for me was hitting driver repair (troubleshooting) untill it succeed the update proppely en succesfully would reconnect to my pc, in my opinion updating the latest driver and firmware available was my only way out, to provent damaging by any chance, and allways update every firmware manual separately
I had similar problem with my CSL DD, i need to remove clamp which is holding qr1 with usb-c, push qr1(base side) in, screw clamp (hx5 mm if i remember correct) and up to now base works just fine

I believe it is not a starter wing. Very quick and agile. Please note that I set the elevon throws to maximum. Which apparently is not recommended. ;)

Yes stock motor but bigger ESC to be sure.

Yes the fpv kit is the PNP version plus fpv gear.

What’s the Max cruising flight time?
This was on a 6s 1550mah Tattu lipo. I think if you're just cruising maybe 8 to 10min. But on a 6s1p 4000mah li-ion it flies more than 30min cruising speed.
Frankly the pictures do not give the impression that the Dolphin is going very fast. To give this impression, you have to fly closer to the ground. There are a lot of videos available on RUclips of guys flying 4S that look like they're going really fast.
Yeah, unfortunately I haven't setup my flightlogs yet and used the tool to overlay OSD info on my DJI Digital FPV dvr recording.
Also I'm not a very experienced pilot with planes yet, I'll eventually learn to fly real close to the ground for your speedy effects... 😉

What motor, and prop did you use on this 6s setup??
T-motor AT2310 2200kv, 5x5 prop. It pulled almost 80A from a Favorite 45A ESC. But kind of fried the motor.... Replaced it with a 3BR 2408 Pro2 1900kV and Hobbywing 80A.

The Start seems to be easy... In wich Mode you usually start? Anglemode with Autolaunch?
My buddy launched it for me. When launching myself I either use autolaunch or just open the throttle and throw it and manually bring it up to 50m then put on my fpv goggles.

Looks like they launch pretty easy and fly very stable but they dont seem to be much for speed. What's the top speed so far? My last wing would sustain around 80mph and it was only 43"....
I did around 80mph at 80% throttle.
For how long the cool stays on the body?!
Up to 10 hours or longer.
