so... berkley copied a bait and did it at a price people can afford to have it in their tackle box... and your mad. my guy. alot of people will not spend for expensive swim baits. they will buy temu and wish knockoffs. at least berkley is making decent versions of swims and glides. i want more people fishing. to do that we have to have reasonable prices across the board.

Sea lions 😂, man I fish rivers too and it’s always the sea lions. We have a problem accepting the fact that we are the main cause of the depletion of wildlife. Sea lions are far over carrying capacity at this point but we need to take responsibility, they’re just trying to survive. Our waters are depleted from our fishing, dams, diversions, agriculture, pollution, etc.. Accepting this is hard for a lot of people, kinda like accepting that we are animals ourselves. I prefer fishing kayak tournaments these days as I like the catch, photo, release format, especially durning spawn. Kills me seeing tournaments on Clear Lake durning spawn, being my home lake I like to see it thrive again. It’s been on a downward trend for a while, weights are there but numbers are down.

These are the videos that the algorithm doesn’t love but the real ones appreciate. Thanks for sharing your story bro So many anglers have unique stories, but the commonality is that we all use fishing to escape and bring us back down to earth when life is hard

Invested are ya? These baits are getting way too expensive...... Some of us can't afford other people's luxuries. At roughly 60 dollars each, and the shipping of roughly 30 dollars each,, no thanks..... that is just plain stupid. Swimbaits have been around a long time. Used to call them paddle tails. We'd take them and stick them on a jig, and voila!! A swimbait! And all ya had to do is rig it. And that was over fifty years ago. So essentially the idea is nothing new. Not everyone out here can afford 70 to 90 dollars for a swimbait. So yeah, if someone is willing to make a version for less... why not. What are ya going to do, go after someone for the spinnerbait, the spoon, the plastic worm? There are so may copies out there its crazy. Another one is the crankbait. How many variations are there, yet each has their following. And yet somehow everyone gets along. Now if you want to buy a Lamborghini that's fine. But a car is still just a a car. And to spend all that money for a toothy bugger to come along and tear the thing all to shreds. I don't think so. if a musky comes along and absolutely destroys it the very first cast, Might as well just throw your wallet overboard. But meh, to each their own.......

I recently bought a kayak and have been out a few times mostly mornings mostly out of Pleasure Cove, no fish finder or anything fancy to tell how deep the water is so I have a rookie fishing question.. About how far off the banks are you casting? Thanks for the update and information!
