I have heard him tell that story a few times, but each time he tells it with such pride for his heritage and his ancestors....I am fourth generation Texan, my great great grandfather and family had the courage to leave Alsace-Lorraine in Europe(former country between France and Germany) in 1846. They landed near Galveston and took wagon trains to hill country of Texas.....I am proud to be able to go visit his gravesite in D'Hanis, Texas and thank him for his courage. I understand the pride Coach K is talking about! We all need to remember where we came from and who got us to where we are!
