The patented Wright Drive 2.0® six-point design moves the contact area away from the corners, creating greater strength and more torque. Wright Grip 2.0 with Al Ryding

The Wright Grip 2.0 design incorporates a series of strategically placed teeth or grooves on the insides of the wrench’s two jaws. These teeth allow for a better seating of the wrench on a fastener. One fastener corner locks into the groove so the fastener won’t slip or twist out of the wrench under load. Al Ryding explains more.

WRIGHT: Ratchets with Double Pawl Design
That’s real innovation. A engineer that’s been in the game for decades. The other tool companies hire fools straight out of college and make as much profit as possible.
My favorite is the ratchet with the external teeth and reversing lever that works in desert environments where most ratchets clog up with sand.
Can you guys send me a set of wrenches? I’m an apprentice and I don’t have money and it’d be amazing to have the best wrenches
You’re going to have to work for it and put in the time. When you have a few years of good experience then try fixing projects on your own to make some extra money. It’s always hard when you start something. Nobody owes you a cent in this world.
Can you go into more detail on the Wright Drive? Maybe with illustrations? I’m genuinely curious.
Hi Wright, I come to RUclips for the detailed animations, drawings, visuals and explanations from companies, so directing us to the website seems a bit counterintuitive...It's like having an online ordering system on a website that directs me to a phone number to call haha...That said, I'm a Wright fan so I forgive you guys...Maybe though get some marketing and social media interns, or recent MBA grads from a good university to help you with social media best practices? Maybe hire a dedicated digital team at your corporate office? Wright Tool is too famous and respected to be putting out anything but top tier videos. I'm glad you're putting content onto RUclips, but I don't see a plan here and it's very sporadic with a "I'm a startup working out of my parents basement" vibe. Again, big fan of Wright, but start leveraging your name and history!
Always the Wright tool. My favorite is the external gear ratchet you guys make for the military. Needs to be in everyone’s bunker! The railroad ratchet is up there too.
Finally. I need one now! btw what is "scaffolding'?
do more with stripped/rusty allen/torx screw removers thanks!
Wright Tool is the last family owned full line manufacturer of premium AMERICAN made hand tools, they build tools for people who need the tool to work in the most demanding environments doing the most demanding jobs, they are the best of the best!
I believe Cornwell is family owned and they still have their full USA lineup made in their Ohio factory, but, yeah, Wright is awesome too and we need to support and celebrate American manufacturing.
If I remember correctly, Wright Tool owns Snap-On
seriously ??
LOL! Wright wishes they owned Snap-On....Snap-On is a massive publicly traded company. Wright tool is a fraction of the size.
Get trolled
Wright tool for the job! Love my wright grips.
Great video 👍
I haven't checked for a while. Can wright tools be purchased from your website yet or do we still have to put up with your crappy distributors if we want to buy wright tools?
WrightGrip 2.- was an epiphany for me. I LOVE THEM!
Been using the 4490 for years. Ive had 2 and they are the best ratchets. Ive use the major brands but the 4490 is my favorite. Im a commercial fire sprinkler installer and use it every day. Wright are the best.
USA! USA! USA!
Where can I find the rest of this interview?
I love Wright.
Love my wright wrenches! Keep the good work!
Still doing it the Wright way, Made in USA! 💪🇺🇸🇺🇸💪
PLEASE BRING BACK ACETATE HANDLES
Love Wright Tools wrenches, chrome & impact sockets. Da best 👌🏼 👍🏼 🤙🏼👊🏼💪🏼
Wright Tool = The best industrial wrenches on the market
Wright Tools. Got the best combination wrenches made that few people know about. They’d be the perfect combination wrenches if they were longer.
Absolutely excellent wrenches, no doubt.
I thought this said wright service wrenches are dying. Either way, my top brand for heavy mechanical work.
I’m just looking for some long pattern chrome Wright grip 2.0 8 to 19 mm. I can’t seem to find them. Do you guys make them?
I’m 100% for Wright Tools however you’re not very responsive to customer requests. The WrightGrip 2.0 combination wrenches would be great if you offered them in a long pattern design. If they were I’d buy both standard and metric sets but until then I will continue to use my SnapOn Flankdrive Plus long pattern wrenches. I own several sets of your wrenches and a lot of your impact sockets and would purchase more if you offer something new and exciting like extra long zero offset box wrenches, or mid depth 1/4,3/8,1/2 drive sockets, or stubby 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 drive sockets or a dozen other things aimed at the automotive repair industry.
i love my wright grip 2.0 wrenches. i wish wright would make a newer updated ratchet or updated ratchet wrench.
Wright is the Leader in the Heavy Comstruction & Industrial markets
We Love the Wright Grip 2.0 wrenches. Really great tools
For those confused, Jori is part of the team over at HJE in Kansas City. Their website is a good place to shop Wright tools and other American made products.
Love you guys
Are replacement nitrile handles available
I just bought the 4480 open-head 1/2" ratchet. I've liked the concept ever since I saw it in Thorsen ratchets long ago, but I never acquired one for some reason. I don't care about the easy-cleaning angle, I just like the simplicity and strength of the design. I don't want high tooth count in a 1/2" ratchet, I want sturdiness. I generally don't like the "new wave" look of the handles on many modern ratchets, but the handle on this ratchet is an exception -- smooth and sensual.
Thank you for not selling out like everyone else. I promote Wright tools every chance I get
Long pattern combination wrench set PLEASE I Would buy Satan and chrome in SAE & MM Commercial HVAC during the day and DIY on the weekends i use both sae and mm Satan and chrome and only buy usa made tools.. WRIGHT you would sell the crap out of them
This is great to see. The last few years I've been buying up Wright tools at estate sales.....Great news to know they are still available new!
Wright are the toughest tools made anywhere
Wright Tools are the toughest tools on Earth
Great wrenches
I Love your wrenches
I might give you guys a shot, didn't know you existed but I do like USA tools
Last company but yet won't get there products out to the public because they are stubborn and pig headed.
Why is this in my recommended
I'm a former Craftsman enthusiast who became disillusioned about 10 years ago, and I'm not fully approving of the SBD direction of the company now. I've been trying to find my way, as far as what tool company to purchase from now. I have your Wright Grip 2.0 in SAE/Metric, as well as some of your other hand tools. Living in metro Detroit, I prefer to use 6-point tools over 12-point because of salt on the roads and rust. Given the location of your company in Ohio, I think you should be able to relate to this. I wish that you would offer 6-point box wrenches, and XL sizing would be preferred.
I was a Craftsman guy who got abandoned in recent years when they went over seas. Needed some wrenches and did some research. Never had heard of Wright. Now I have some combo wrenches, impact, and chrome sockets. Just ordered some from HJE last week. Converted a fellow coworker. Wright makes good tools. I do wish you'd make a low profile ratchet. I tried the Wright ratchets in KC at HJE and wasn't impressed enough to buy. I do mostly automotive so maybe not target customer.
Huge Wright fan! I have converted my buddies and coworkers. Great stuff and tough as nails!
How big are the numbers on the side of the socket?
They need to present these to college students like snap on does!!
