Information & reviews of the legendary Lotus Omega (Carlton for the right hand drive models in the UK), one of the best super sedans ever made. These were the fastest production sedan in the world for almost a decade. The Omega featured 377hp & 420lb/ft of torque flowing through a 6 speed transmission lifted from the Corvette ZR1.

The Lotus Omega/Carlton was the first super sedan to test the boundaries of what was possible, with two large turbos making 377 HP and ~420 lb/ft of torque. This required a tremendous amount of cooling, even after shut down. Lotus solved the problem by adding an extra fan and fluid pumps that circulated coolant and oil to the turbos after shutdown. This all puts a tremendous strain on the battery, thus the need for constant battery maintenance. This trick hardware makes it simple to keep your battery topped up.

Took me about a year to find the original stereo in working condition. This one came all the way from Belarus! It only took about 10 minutes to swap the CD player out. These are compatible with all 2005 and on Elise and Exige models. It is a wonderful upgrade IMO. Lotus thinks so as well - they sell the exact unit with a Lotus part number.

The Lotus Omega (Carlton for our UK friends) doesn’t drive like a modern sedan. There are no nannies to assist you, the clutch bites after a bit of travel, and the steering isn’t overly boosted. The twin turbos don’t really get working until 3000 RPM and it’s just pure power after that. The car really rewards carrying speed and revs through corners. Awesome video. Glad it was a simple swap. And those head unit clips were STANDARD EQUIPMENT for all dealers back in the day. I had a set in my desk at the Ford dealer I sold cars at. 👍👍 And GREAT cassette choices. 👍

Only thing I'd change was to add some old school Monoblock 1 or 2s. Of course they never made them in 20s and only made a few later monoblocks in 19s.

You didn't tip this heater over. You slowly and gently changed it's position, which prevented the tip over mechanism from working. Leave it to a lawyer!
*Luckily I inherited this heater from my brother and I am using it in my living room which is a decent size. Initially I thought it wouldnt heat up my living room but so far its been great.⌯⌯⌯**t.co/SN0mmoPoEq** It heats up the room and maintains it through out the usage of the heater.
