Forty raw unedited minutes of me tooling a Sheridan style leather sheath for a filet knife I made.
This is a raw video of me designing and tooling a leather sheath Sheridan style for a filet knife I made recently.
If it’s too loud lower the volume, too slow play it on 2x or ffwd. Background noise is Vegas Matt, Pompsie Slots, Jackpot Judo and maybe the Vegas Low Roller. I enjoy having them on in the background. There’s no plot to their gambling and I don’t have to follow along. They win sometimes and they lose sometimes.
It’s cool to watch them win big. I say I enjoy watching Vegas Matt out of all of them because between him, his son EJ and the WBG, they say and do some pretty funny things.

I was gonna make some keychains but then I changed my mind. It’s two 5 oz pieces of leather glued together with contact cement. I used driving’s tan-kote as a resist and I let it dry overnight. The next day I coated it with dark brown Antique Gel from ECO-Flow. Wet the towel to lighten it up a little. I think it would make a nice hat and What else could I do with this decorative piece of leathe...

In this video I prepare our Texas Version of Arroz con Carne. I made a brisket a few days ago and had some brisket chunks laying around. So I tossed them in the rice. There’s lots of variations of this dish. And yes your grandmas and your mom’s recipe was the best! But Of course 😂😂😂 please share it with us 👍 Right before adding the stock you could add a million things to it for additional flavo...

Ayy Hire me hermano, we've got the same last name 🎉😂 Im in NYC wassup digame🏃🏻♂️
Puro Hernandez! NYC?..That’s a long way from Texas
Onde comprar?
I make them and then I sell them through eBay. Here’s the link: www.ebay.com/itm/266847861417?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=xkN45EZ5TyO&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=xkN45EZ5TyO&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY My eBay page is called “mikehernandezknives”
One of my favorite songs, and it has survived
Never gets old 👍
I thought Top Gun was USN not USAF, but oh well. Beautiful leather something you made!
😮 Dang!
I'm Army, my son is Army, man I miss singing/hearing cadence. Good work God bless
Nice knife where’d you get it?
Flea market
All you need to do is dim the lights with that gravy voice
😝
That mushroom stencil thing is cool.
Firework time! 😂
Top 1 lip sync of all time.
Suggest you stop using paper towels -even old cotton socks are better. Use mineral oil to spruce them up and rub the things, don't just piffle around daubing and dabbing with paper towels. They need softness. Nice job with the designs, tho.
Great idea!
Sweet baby rays? Chicken wings? Knives? Great content! Keep it up jefe
0:13 🙏🙏 buy a knife from this guy….
😂😂😂
Where can I get one!!!
Thanks for your interest. I’m working on it. Changed the site to hernandezcraftworks.bigcartel.com.
Nice job. How is it carried?
It’s a pocket holster for a little Ruger LCP
@@hernandezknives thanks.
Well made vid w/catchy music. Looks like your confidence in your tooling is way up. Smooth work.
Watched your Sheridan flower from a year ago before this vid. Left a comment (albeit a year late) pointing out the exact point you just made about order of bevel. Leather technique and videography most improved. Started watching with your five key fobs using the stamps you introduced here. I live near Corpus, where do you vend your pickles? Tx.? COLT Business wise good decision on the stitching, but, speed comes with practice so it's sort of a give and take. solvent free Barge (and others) gives you a little more open time and the ability to reposition.
I just uploaded a short on some sunflowers. Check it out. We sell our pickles in Kennedale Tx and online at Mrwallys.com.
Probably not going to make it up there but might order off your site. Do you sell dills?@@hernandezknives
Sure do. Thats our best seller.
Nice finish!
At 10:40 and 15:32 you are beveling the wrong side of the petal, out side of the higher element.
I see how that would be better
What did you use for the final finish since it was going to be around salt water?
What do you recommend. It’s wenge hardwood. Sometimes I use polyurethane
Tan-kote and a prayer for the sheath.
How many stitches per inch is that wheel?
I’d have to check. Tomorrow. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Knives are SO COOL🔪
True
Hey can you make a keychain templet step by step I saw the video on Temu but worthless to see how it works
I will. I haven’t made a leather keychain fob in a while but I’ll try to get to it. Been focusing on making knives lately.
And thanks for watching and commenting. ❤️
all of them are nice like the Wells Fargo oh the horse is even better
Delicious fish tacos
Thanks ❤️
Nice set up on your shop, 👍 grilling of the pork👏🔥.love a little cookin of meat and knife make art! 👌🔥👊
Nice job
Love your work 👍🏽Split solid brass key ring might look better. Slightly bigger perhaps
does it work just as good with dye?
Never tried it with just dye. But I think the acrylic paint lays on top rather than seeping into the leather like the dye does.
Thanks for the help Just beautiful
What size eyes are those
Hmmmm…. I don’t remember. 🤷♂️
Looks beautiful
Excellent travail, continuez comme ça
Nice love the bloodwood or is it padauk
Thanks. It’s Padauk
great job! detail is awesome Hernandez!
Very nice work. I have been having some trouble painting letters. I am going to get some needle applicators now. Thankyou for your video. I hope that you sold tons. You do very nice work.
Thanks. The needle applicators are neat!
It looks wonderful!!! How long will the paint last on the leather?
Thanks! And I have no idea. I made a collar for my dog with his name on it. He wore it for quite a while. Paint still looks good. Also there are sealants and other ways to make it last.
Thanks for sharing, love that u use old newspaper.. The newspaper will make a great fire starter.
Yes it does, And it did! 😀
Gorgeous
Nice job thanks for posting and sharing 👍
Thanks for watching!
Bery nice
Thanks
You making a sheath?
I was. Yes. Messing with the live video option.
that finish 💦
How much do you sell them for??
A lot of work goes into each one. Unfortunately, no one has ever paid me the $20-25 that I’ve asked. They have made real nice gifts for my friends and family. 🤩
the question I was just wondering what paint to use on your fishing lures
Fluorescent paint. fluorescent airbrush paints.
What kind of clear coat do you use
2 part 30 minute epoxy is my preference but uv resin works well also.
@@hernandezknives Thanks
Where do you get your stencils?
Whipp Farms. Look them up in Etsy. Also on Amazon. You just gotta match them up to your lure size and type
Nice inspirational design. I will give it a try.
Why be so happy? A smile sells more merchandise than a frown ever did. Happy people make other people happy and mad or unhappy people tend to draw the same just like they are. If you're going to make money with the talent you like and enjoy, you're going to have to make a serious personality change for your video channel and display your character differently to your audience.
Honestly craftsmanship like this I'd buy wether he's crying or laughing. Heck he could be turning a bowl of crack rock in the video. That's craftsmanship he has here
