Anytype is unnecessarily complex. Just how many clicks did it take you to make this simple template and set!! This is annoying af. The mobile app doesn't show inline sets or collection. It takes you to the full page of the set.

Anytype is paid or free? Also can it work offline?

Hi. Thanks so much for putting this together. I know I really appreciate it. I applied the process for what you've described to an existing diary I've created. It looks like the new template is not being used for pre-existing objects that have already been created. Is there anything that can be done to show the new template for the already created objects? Great video. Question: if you create a relation like 'Initial Startup Cost' like you did...by creating it WITHIN the grid of the collection....will this relation be added to the TYPE of the Page object? Meaning...if I went and created another Page from somewhere else but this collection...would the relation 'Initial Startup Cost' be present? This is what I find presently confusing in anytype...did the relation come from within the page, the type of the object, the template of the object, or the collection/set of the object? At times you have to be a detective to trace this down. That's fine for an ex computer programmer like me, but regular folks will start pulling their hair...

It should be noted that adding relations directly to a SPECIFIC page should really be done only for special pages such as 'area', 'category', 'dashboard', etc. Pages that are basically unique. Otherwise, you should add these relations to the object's TYPE. This will make sure the relation you added will be present for EVERY object you create of that type. For example. You created Project A. Now you go and add 'client' as relation to this project. If you create Project B, this relation will not exist on Project B. Instead, if you added the relation to the project's type, any new project you create will have this relation. I wish anyType will clearly differentiate this concept because it is super confusing for new users...

Great video as usual. You have a great melodic voice and you pace yourself nicely. One question. With the setup you made...every single daily note you create will be called Daily_2025...so this will make it impossible to navigate in the graph and also in grid view. I suppose this setup is only usable with the calendar view. I wish they did improve his as capacities, where in the daily note template, you can put a @today as argument to the title name and it will append today's date upon creation... Thoughts?

For windows I use Window (button) + "." for emojis.

"Local" syncs between devices on the same local network when devices have the app open at the same time. Local would be same subnet probably. Any consumer router/wifi will put cabled and wifi in the same subnet. Only guest wifi will be in another subnet (and vlan).

I am using obsidian actually, but i think so much complex and dont have a version for android... This app have android version?

Hi! I’ve been using this system for over three months and have really enjoyed the experience! However, I’m encountering an issue when working in the "Goals" set. Specifically, when I try to create new groups for 2025, the system duplicates and moves the entries to 2024 as well, even though I am creating a new column for the 2025 goals. Maybe i just domt understand the system i dont really know how to fix it, thanks a lot!

There are absolutely no tutorials on how to add phone numbers, emails, and links in Anytype. Mainly, if I add a phone number to a block, the call or copy paste button shows up. Please provide a tutorial on creating those links to direct out of AnyType.

Pointing missing features in a youtube video isn't helping Anytype IMO. In any case you might have make some mistakes in your homework because: - Copy/Paste between Spaces is already implemented, you can try for yourself to copy blocks, it works. - Toggle for every block doesn't have a ETA, it's in Backlog on the roadmap. Otherwise, the biggest missing feature IMO is Blocks as Objects. The feature was unfortunately burried in the forum because of splitted and not explicit topics title, so I don't rely on the votes counts to know what feature is really wished for. Anton talked about, and just say that it will need a lot of work. A usual, we need clear communication to know if a feature will be implemented or not, THAT is the pain point of the Team, we don't need ETA, we just need to know if our needs will become reality or not at some point.

Please invest in a cheap, non-attached to the computer/table microphone.

Thank you so much. Will it be possible to show the count of number of objects within a collection in any of the views? I'm using collection similar to a Notebook and created several Pages to take notes. Would be helpful if we have an option to see the number of notes (objects) within each collection...

Especially helpful for new users of Anytype! Anytype's terminology can be very confusing at first, because Anytype uses technically correct terms that are unfamiliar to us. The usual digital office routine still works in hierarchical folder-document structures, where we are led to believe that an element can only ever exist in a certain place, just like in the real office. Notion, Coda, ClickUp and other comparable apps have such a familiar page tree structure ready for their new users, where you can find your way around relatively quickly and then later explore the true, database-driven potential of the app. Anytype, on the other hand, is currently still extremely puristic and confronts new users with the reality of pure object-orientation right from the beginning. A tool like the one you have provided here is therefore extremely welcome! I think that if Anytype wants to be widely successful as a note-taking app in the future, it will have to offer a similar pre-installed structure model to get started.
