[IN DEPT HOW TO]: 2014 - 2019 Yamaha Bolt Oil & Oil Filter Change
Просмотров 6 тыс.4 года назад
Explanation: You will need 4 quarts of oil, a new filter, and a crush ring. Make sure you have a low profile oil pan that will hold at least 5 quarts of oil. You will also need a 17mm socket, a torque wrench, a filter wrench, and a funnel. The oil filter was on pretty tight. If you don't have a filter wrench and have a hard time getting the filter off you can always use a flat head screwdriver ...

$1.66 a gallon at QT bro? woooow....
@@aLo_etc crazy what changes in a short amount of time
@ good times indeed.
Wow, how did you mount your mirrors that way? looks sick! I just purchased my own Bolt yesterday, and want them to hang underneath as well!
Do the pipes burn your leg?
100%. But you quickly learn where to place your leg.
That’s Wichita ks.
It’s seems like passenger foot legs is not available. Right? What is the solution? Any suggestion?
Foot pegs don’t work with this exhaust, best solution is the Vance n Hines exhaust, or go with no foot pegs
Hi. If you have to choose what would you choose? Iron 883 or Yamaha Bolt? What is the feeling on the road with Bolt? Do you have any experience with Iron 883? Which one is the best for loud sound?
Thanks for the vid. Did you feel a difference before and after the synthetic oil?
My guess is Texas
That’s a good looking bike!!!
is this aftermarket exhaust or did the bike come stock like this?
Aftermarket. Bassani.
@@SmallButMightyx appreciate it bro
เสียงท่อเพราะดีจัง รบกวนแนะนำหน่อยครับ
Are you still able to completely squeeze the clutch lever in? I did this but the clutch gets stopped about half an inch from full repression.
Nice sounding bike. Do you know any good adjustable brake and clutch levers for the 2017 bolt?
What size are the clamps? They are no longer available on the site
I flipped mine and they are not even.
dude we have the same bike ! i was wondering, did you just flip the stock mirrors for that look? looks great !!
Nice! Yes I did. I have a video on how to.
Man I gotta get off RUclips haha, I don’t even have a car yet, I can’t be buying a bike first 😂 especially not with PA weather
🤷♂️😬
Thinking of getting a new one. 2 mechanics I know say they are not sturdy, tend to break down easily. Do you agree?
My compensator on my Fat Bob broke at 3,000 miles. I’m now at 20,000 in a years worth of time. I love the M8.
@@SmallButMightyx thanks, I tend to ride pretty conservatively anyway , but didn't want to get into a lot of debt with bike that breaks down.
@@danoweston6185 yeah I was just accelerating when to 40 when mine broke. No warning. Some people have issues with it. Most don’t. I put the original comp in and no issue since. It’s a great bike. Can’t say that enough.
Did you have any issues with the clutch engaging after flipping your mirrors? I'm thinking about flipping mine after finding your videos. Thanks for your time!
No issues at all. You don’t do anything to the clutch or break levers.
@@SmallButMightyx Thank you for the fast reply!
ok sound 👍
How did you keep the mirrors straight? I just did this mod and the mirrors fall down and twist mid ride because you cannot screw the stems in tight... If you do the mirrors gave the wrong direction.
The parts I listed are no longer available so I’m not too sure.
O cabo do acelerador está precisando de regulagem!!
RIP those gas prices 1:19
Best comment ever. That is wild!
Quite like the bolt but that might be the worst dash of all time lol
Yeah it’s pretty outdated.
Seems like this would be a great first bike?
Pricy bike but you can definitely grow into it. Unfortunately it doesn’t have riding modes but as long as you have some self control you’ll be fine. Take a training course and stay safe!
Looks like that product (the clamps) isn't sold at that web site anymore. Can you post the name of them so I can search for them manually?
Did you look into the forward control kit at all? I’m just looking at buying a used Bolt now as my first bike and the seating position is one of the things I’ve considered..I’m 6’ and did notice my feet could have been forward a little more.
I would suggest joining the Yamaha Bolt Facebook group and asking that question. You’ll probably find some better insight. I agree that with your height stock may be a bit cramped.
@@SmallButMightyx Thanks! I’ve joined a few groups and forums. I’m definitely going to hold off ordering anything until I get the bike this week and feel it out..but from what I’ve read I might be better off with moving them forward. I was more curious about whether you looked into it before selling the bike since that was one of the reasons for getting rid of it.
@@spiker213 I didn’t really look into it. I knew I wanted a bigger frame and more power. So I avoided doing upgrades because it would’ve been a waste of money.
What is your opinion with OEM filter and Yamalube? Would you recommend full synthetic?
I believe I ended up using an aftermarket filter. No issues with it. I always use full synthetic. It’s better for the engine and I believe it lasts longer. That’s just what I hear. I don’t like doing maintenance so when I do I do it right the first time. I sold the bike with 19k. Check out my latest video for a review!
@@SmallButMightyxI see! Thanks for the help! Great video 👍🏼
Do the pipes burn your leg at all?
You will 100% burn your leg. But I bet you won’t let it happen more than a few times. You’ll find a different place to put your leg.
You can turn your throttle forward on an Indian because it's a quick method of disengagement of the cruise control. After a while you don't even notice it.
Dayyyuuummmm🔥🔥🔥💯
I was wondering if it was yours popped up on dream machine on Facebook. Hopefully we can get videos of the new one soon
Correction bobber
I sold to Bobz bikes so it must be a different one.

You must be in wichita
Yes sir.

@@rogerbyers6162 thanks a lot!
Worst bike I ever owned.the stock exhaust sucks.i cut it off and put a ground pounding short pipe on it.it sounds viscous.but it's a 80 ho.pos.its a 50 cc trail bike.
I had good luck with it personally. And it sounded good for what it was.
Love that colour
I just bought this bike 3/12/22; I love it….all the way from the LBC
Congratulations! It’s a great bike! Ride safe!
1 down 4 up?
Correct. 5 gears.
Why are you letting the 2 bigger bikes dictate your speed?....same engine with less weight....you could pass them easily?
What’s your point here? Are you saying I should’ve passed them?
What mode were you in ?lol
Sport mode.
I ride bike like these as a theraphy for my hypertension. It works.
You are not alone!
Hi Deputy. Nice sound. Music to my ears. I will buy one soon.
Thank you for watching!
Because the clamps are sold out, can i get the official name so i can look them up elsewhere?
Are you on stock tune? I have a similar exhaust on my bolt on stock tune and it pops a lot on decal like yours, I read that means it’s leaning out and can damage the engine have you had any issues?
It’s stock tune. I had my exhaust for about 16,000 miles without a tune. Had an aftermarket exhaust and aftermarket intake without a tune for about 10,000 miles. No issues at all. Bike is bulletproof. But I do recommend you get a tune. Ivan’s isn’t too expensive I hear good things about his.
Is the stem flexible? I was going to order some mirrors but the the stems are steel not plastic. What are your thoughts?
I’m confused on your question. The stem is a metal.
@@SmallButMightyx My bolt didn't come with mirrors, craigslist find. So I was going to order mirrors but not stock ones. I will keep you posted, sorry to confuse you. Your exhaust is sooooo sick btw!
@@Highzenplug yeah hopefully the mirrors you get are able to go under the handlebars. And thanks!
nice bike
I appreciate it!
How many decimals is that exhaust do you know?
Too many. I really don’t know.
what setup did you do for your rear view mirrors? link if posable? thx

What is the headlights??
The same stock headlight.
0:12 "She's quick....Oh, these Harleys are quick." If you really believe that, you have never ridden a "quick" bike, to say nothing of a "fast" bike. A Concours 14 or an FJR will smoke a Stage 4 Harley, and any of the Literbikes will leave the C14 or the FJR wondering what the heck just happened. Ride your H-D and enjoy it, but enjoy it for what it is.... a cruising/touring bike.... NOT a performance machine.
They are quick. Not fast. Torque not HP. That’s about it. I’ve road plenty of sports bikes. Different machines for different persons. If someone wants to build out a Harley into a performance machine who cares? Their money.
@@SmallButMightyx Try a Kawasaki Concours 14.... it's a touring bike, not a sport bike - and it's "quick", but it's not "fast".... "fast" is a ZX14, a Hyabusa, or any literbike like a BMW S1000RR. And torque doesn't matter... horsepower is what counts. The rest is just gearing.
@@wwb7091 all personal opinion. Everyone has their opinion on what counts and what doesn’t. Never road s concour but I’ve heard nothing but positive things. Just not my style.
All things are relative and subjective. This Harley will be considered quick if you compared to the likes of a Honda Shadow or similar. Definition of quick being something happening in a short period of time (slow speed up to higher speed) with fast being anything occuring at a high rate (speed). Torque is the driving unit of power to being "quick" whereas horsepower is the unit of power that generates top speeds..."fast". (Yes I know you can't have one without the other and they're factors of each other but they are very different units of measure). If two powerplants are geared the same but one has more torque and the other has more hp...all other things being equal the higher torque one will be quick because it accelerates quickly but the higher HP one will go faster on the top end. Quick is subjective to user/rider and has no certified easy method of determination other than how it makes the rider feel...but fast can be measured by looking down at the speedo.
You have to consider the context. In this case, the context is a large displacement pushrod v-twin. And for that engine configuration, these bikes are kind of quick.
107 is perfect for the size of the bike, very responsive and super fast
Definitely agree. But I think the 107 is out of the door next year.
