just uploading it here because i cant upload it directly to twitter, so here's my workaround my team went 9 heavies, 2 medics, and 1 engie for fun. the heavies tried to do all fist/banana heavy but that didnt work, so we gave it up pretty quickly. overall it was honestly a pretty good match.

@@kyeoconnorred1423midnight movies screenings are a pretty well known thing. they were originally organized at midnight because there used to be laws that said that nothing that the FCC had deemed “inappropriate” was allowed to be aired on tv before a certain time, and they had to be depicted in specific ways. people started screening midnight movies in theaters to have a safe place to show others movies that were typically oppressed out of america’s very puritanical culture. a really famous midnight movie is rocky horror picture show, which was poorly received by the media at first for being a VERY queer-positive movie, but its midnight screenings gave some queer people a place to find a community of other queer people around them. this video was recorded at the music box theater in chicago, which is famous for showing a lot of artsy and/or midnight movies. spongebob specifically was part of a larger collection they were doing about animated movies, and it was picked because they knew it would be a great midnight experience for whoever was there. also, fun fact, music box theater has been around since the 1920s, and was one of the first theaters to do midnight screenings of rocky horror picture show. they’ve been going strong since roughly the 70s. its a great theater.

Hearing a whole theater say “DADDDY YES” is something I never knew I would see and love it
Rewatching the moment at 3:17 kind of hits hard. Spongebob reminding us that we should always be a kid at heart and no adult responsibility should ever overcome that. This entire video is just a wave of nostalgia and you can see that people at the movie theater feel the same way. If only Steve Hillenburg was still with us to see the impact he's made in our lives.
