@ferdinandjonathan3009 I don't remember the difference very well. I've sold the board months ago. But I usually don't mind one foam even for clack stuff. And preferably platefoam, since it does not limit he Bottom out, like case foam often does. Just try both and decide for yourself 😀

Sounds like a good plan :) I need to fiddle a little more with the Luminkey maybe. Currently waiting for a FR4 plate and the brass battery cover... Will then also try different switches. I think both boards have roughly the same potential to sound good.

I don't own this specific board any more but as a general rule of thumb: Yes CF is usually louder.

Puh, that's a tough question. None of mine is exactly the same but I think that the Neo65 with some foams is also really exiting and actually the cheapest of the bunch at the same time. But the Kohaku does not need foam and has the better spacebar tbh. On the other hand you can get very happy with a Neo soundwise I guess. There is no need to overpay for a Kohaku to get nice sound imo.

I generally disliked the Maiz stabs a little bit tbh. But in this case it also might be me, prepping them badly... I will upload a new video with a different PCB (with much better LED diffusion) and TX stabs soon.

Puh, that's so difficult for me to describe... One thing is for sure: The Sumertimes v2 have more "body" / low-end to their sound signature. They sound fuller and not as sharp as HMXes switches. I can't complain about the factory lube or the smoothness also. I can maybe upload a very simple comarison (all three switches on the same board and under the same keycap) for reference. But it's never like in reallife, when recorded and played back somewhere else.

I use a matched pair of Lewitt LCT040 Mics on a stereo rail in X/Y pattern. The mics hover like 25cm over the board. Audiointerface is a Motu M2 and I simply use Audacity with a 80Hz lowcut filter to record the audio. Sound is not compressed or otherwise altered, only normalized, to maximize volume.

On my PC plate there is no tadpole below the spacebar. Only the leaf spring alu plate seems to have this right in the middle of the spacebar.

Ah damn, that is bad. I also disliked the Maiz stabs but fortunately it's a hotswap build in my case. Changed the Spacebar Stab for a TX AP after the video. Check my latest vid (60s collection) with the TX stab. Hope you don't have to desolder everything...

That's true. It punshes way above its class. More expensive != more better :D
