They dont make tv like this anymore. Any idea what i can watch to learn more about fish in similar context really enjoy seeing how they like certain aspects of their bait but ignore others

I was raised within walking distance too Clackamas River. Its known more for steelhead rather than salmon. Highrocks was our playfield.

My son and I will fish with small split shot 18 inches above bait or flies and the fish will always go after the split shot more then the others . It’s has to be the lead it has the right shine to it.

I read all of Charlie's books in my youth. I remember when the first underwater strike footage was produced and Charlie did the seminars.

Had all of Charlie's books when I was a kid. They were (are) great. Thanks for posting videos brings back great memories.

30 years later, clackamas salmon still don't bite... They still sit in that same hole below the mouth of eagle creek though.

I wish I could have been around back then when the clackamas would load up with fish like that. It still gets fish for sure but it’s a lot different. Would like to see a remake of this with new cameras. Underwater salmon from Bob toman is great also

Thanks for doing this. I'm noticing a lot of artifacting from digital sharping so maybe turn the sharpness down acouple notches on the next episode. Tight Lines!

I remember when this was done many years ago. Bob Tolman is years ago dead and no dough from alcoholism and heavy drugs used wore out his life clock just like Steve Koller died of the same heavy drug and alcoholism took its toll on his body. Talman was nothing more than a clown with a boat and his foul mouth and crazy stories of how many women he had sex with was his main topic in the boat just like his pal and real bad person and Guide Herb Good. Talman and Bill Monrow concocted a criminal scam of telling the public Bob Tolman was sick and needed money for medial help then put together donations through dinners then Talman used the money to buy land in Alaska to start their fishing lodge, totally an illegal scam and not surprising considering Talman was a shady person. I remember all those days but now I live across the world in Southeastern Europe where I operate tourism services.
